Improving the quality of service in telecommunication networks is directly related to improving the algorithms for routing with packet switching. Such networks are characterized by the multiservice nature of traffic, whose statistical properties in most cases are of a complex polymodal nature. Given the fact that traditional Poisson models providing FIFO servicing of network traffic leads to overly optimistic results in terms of delays for solving modern telecommunication problems, there is a need to develop a new mathematical model of a unidirectional switch providing FIFO servicing of multiservice traffic with polymodal distribution, taking into account the necessary quality of subscriber service and an algorithm for assessing its main parameters. As the result of this paper the new mathematical model of a unidirectional switcher implementing FIFO servicing of multiservice traffic with polymodal distribution has been developed, allowing one to estimate the probability that packets arriving at the switch input will not be processed due to overflow of its buffer memory and exceeding the maximum packet processing time. The model takes into account the delays introduced by the channel and channel equipment during the distribution and processing of packets from the source to the switch in question. Practical significance. Recommendations for modeling traffic processing to ensure the specified accuracy of the results are presented. Recommendations for traffic processing simulation are presented to ensure the required accuracy of the obtained results.

Exponential growth in the number of computing resources, their cheapening, and the wide availability of large data sets have ensured a great demand for information systems based on neural networks. Such systems are widely used in many spheres of life: in medicine, detecting diseases at early stages and helping to design new drugs; in the financial sector, detecting fraudulent transactions and calculating risks, including the development of intelligent transportation systems. Intelligent transportation systems (ITS) actively use computer vision technologies to solve such tasks as object recognition, traffic analysis, traffic forecasting and road safety. However, the development of effective neural network models for these tasks requires significant resources and high qualification of specialists. The system of automated training and selection of neural network architecture can significantly simplify and speed up this process. Data collection, selection of the necessary model and tuning of hyperparameters requires specialized knowledge and skills. This work is aimed at developing a tool for automated selection of neural network architecture, which will accelerate the development and implementation of models, reduce development costs, improve the quality and reliability of solutions, provide scalability and adaptability to changing conditions.

The article discusses the issues of forecasting the reliability of base stations of cellular communication networks using machine learning algorithms. This task is relevant, as forecasting the reliability of base stations allows timely measures to be taken to prevent equipment failures. For example, replacing the corresponding base station nodes or performing maintenance. All this ensures an increase in QoS in cellular communication systems. An analysis of existing developments in this field has shown that the use of machine learning algorithms is a promising way to predict reliability indicators. The article discusses two of the most popular machine learning algorithms for solving forecasting problems: decision trees and recurrent neural networks. To assess the applicability of these algorithms, a special dataset has been developed that simulates the process of failures in the main elements of the base station: the power supply unit and the RF power amplifier. The simulation results showed high quality forecasting of base station reliability indicators using these algorithms. In particular, the LSTM network provides about 92% accuracy in correctly predicting base station failure.

Broadband signals have the ability to operate in frequency ranges occupied by systems using narrowband signals, which allows reusing the frequency resource, which is especially valuable for the shortwave range. Thus, taking into account the advantages described above, the issue of developing interference rejection algorithms and devices is relevant. To study the impact on the communication quality and the number of transmission errors was chosen an adaptive interference suppression method based on a digital filter bank and providing frequency-selective suppression of narrowband interference. The purpose of this work is to determine the influence of the studied algorithm parameters on the direct spread spectrum communication system noise immunity in order to reduce the computational complexity of the interference rejection module without significant deterioration in noise immunity. To solve the problem, frame success ratio and signal-to-noise ratio at the output of the matched filter used to detect the synchronization sequence dependencies on the number of filter bank channels and the overlapping factor were obtained, which allows to determine the computational complexity of the rejection algorithm and find minimum required number of elementary operations at which there is no degradation in the quality of interference suppression.

The article presents a mathematical model of joint service of voice requests and requests in the form of files in a contact center. The model takes into account the features of modern request processing systems: group receipt of files, the possibility of waiting for them taking into account the aging of information, pre-processing of voice requests by robotic operators. We have developed a recursive algorithm for evaluating the main characteristics of the system's quality of operation, including the probability of loss of various types of requests, operator loading, and average file waiting time. The numerical analysis carried out showed a significant impact of the group nature of file receipt on service indicators: with the same load, file losses exceed the loss of voice requests, which requires an increase in the number of operators by 30-40%. The effect of prioritizing file maintenance when using the wait buffer is investigated. The results obtained can be applied to optimize the infrastructure of contact centers and improve the quality of service with limited resources.

The generalizing indicators of the use of optical more than one in transport fibers with the number of spatial channels of transports telecommunication networks for the perspective period 2030–2035 are investigated in the article. Fiber, cable and relevant equipment are considered as a unified systematic complex. In the article the quality of fibers is compared with their efficiency, as long as the effectiveness of the “achieved - required” result type and the type of “result - resource” is evaluated. The concept of ensuring the optimal use of multi-channel fibers in telecommunications transport is selected in the form of quality optimization. The values of the system parameters for the dimensions of the optical fiber shell for the 125 μm and 250 μm are calculated, the number of spatial channels 1–64, modulation formats DP-GPSK, DP-16QAM, DP-64QAM.

The article deals with the problem of improving the efficiency of forecasting demand for certain types of goods. The goal of the study is to determine the most effective machine learning method for this forecasting. The relevance of the work is due to the fact that traditional statistical methods for forecasting demand do not provide the ability to process effectively the currently received volumes of information on sales and trade; besides, not all machine learning methods for predicting numerical values are suitable for the subject area under consideration. The object of the study is the arising demand for certain types of goods. The subject of the study is the effectiveness indicators (or metrics) of machine learning methods used to forecast demand for certain types of goods. When analyzing the subject area, mean absolute error, the root mean square error and coefficient of determination were selected as metrics used to evaluate the effectiveness of a particular method. As a result, the most suitable algorithms for the most effective forecast of demand for various types of goods were identified. Finally, conclusions are drawn.

This research discusses the method of dataset collection automatization for microwave filter synthesis by integrating machine learning techniques, thus reducing development time. Utilizing the 3D electromagnetic analysis software package, the study involves simulation and collecting geometric parameters and amplitude-frequency characteristics from three variants of passband highly selective microstrip tworesonator combined filters with stepped impedance resonators. In this paper, specific items and restrictions on filter topology creation in the simulation program are discussed, as well the review of the script used for dataset collection and its requirements is given. In addition, a dataset structure and format are described.

The article considers the problem of increasing the accuracy of the gradient boosting method when forecasting timeseries (including demand for equipment or other goods). The aim of the study is to develop a modified gradient boosting method of decision trees for this forecasting. The relevance of the work is due to the fact that the subject area under consideration is characterized by the presence of many different noises and anomalies in datasets. The use of machine learning methods in forecasting such data leads to a decrease in the accuracy of forecasts and the occurrence of the overfitting effect. Despite the tunings of the existing parameters in existing gradient boosting algorithms, this problem remains and leads to the need for additional improvements. The object of the study is time-series. The subject of the study is the indicators (or metrics) of the effectiveness of machine learning methods used to forecast these time-series. As a result, the most suitable methods for reducing the effect of overfitting and the influence of anomalies were considered and identified, which formed the basis for the development of a modified method of gradient boosting trees. Finally, conclusions are drawn.

The attribute values of a certain subject area can be ordered according to the probability of their occurrence, and based on them it is possible to build a tree on which to implement a search algorithm and determine whether the search data is valid for the selected attribute. One of the possible structures of the domain representation is a tree, and the search for the necessary attribute can take place on the search tree. In a binary search tree, any internal vertex is connected by two links, either with internal vertices, or with external vertices, or with internal and external ones. The key characteristic of the tree is the cost of the tree, which corresponds to the average length of the path from the root vertex to the outer one. One of the algorithms for building a minimum cost search tree is the Garcia-Wachs algorithm. This algorithm builds an optimal binary tree based on a predefined order. The paper considers various initial states and determines the most suitable ones.
