The authors analyze the potential selective capabilities of two-resonator microstrip low-pass filter structures. This work shows the conditions for spurious passband spectrum discharge up to and including the fourth harmonic in the two-resonator structure and forming at least seven working attenuation poles in it. These features provide, with such a limited number of resonators, a significantly increased frequency selectivity of the low-pass filters in a wide frequency band and a reduced loss level in the passband. Thus, using the example of LPF realization, it is shown that compact two-resonator structures have a sufficient number of freedom degrees to show up selective properties, which are characteristic of multi-resonator microwave circuits. The unique feature of this type of frequency response predetermines new possibilities in the design of highly selective, higher-order filters based on compact structures with a limited number of resonators. © 2022 IEEE.

This article discusses the minimization of transient distortions in a system for receiving an ionospheric wave by a phased antenna array with a controlled polarization characteristic. For this, frequency separation of the ordinary and unusual components of the ionospheric wave is performed by receiving on a phased antenna array with a controlled polarization characteristic, as well as methods for optimizing the receiving system using an antenna with a controlled polarization characteristic. To consider the complex trajectories of the electric vector of the wave and the ends of the rotating antenna element, the hodograph of the vector of the ordinary and extraordinary components of the wave was used as an instrument. Optimization can be achieved by minimizing the deviation of the antenna EMF hodograph from the reference one, formed as a result of training a neural network, the resolution of which is quite sufficient to obtain a satisfactory result. © 2022 IEEE.

In this article we discuss the use of portable subscriber communication devices in which the power is supplied by primary cells and batteries. The article highlights the safety issues of the handheld portable subscriber communication devices which are related to electrochemical power sources using in such devices. The issues of safe electrochemical power sources using in terms of heating temperature during normal operation and in case of malfunctions are considered. The results of the conducted experimental research of manganese-zinc primary cells with salt and alkaline electrolytes and batteries to determine the maximum surface temperature are presented. The absence of significant excess of the primary cell surface temperature, as well as the absence of fires and explosions is revealed. It is concluded that the use of such electrochemical cells is safe. It is proposed to use such electrochemical cells in subscriber portable communication devices. © 2022 IEEE.

For memoryless resonant power amplifier, a technique has been developed and a study of potential indicators of its efficiency in amplifying a signal described as band-pass noise with an amplitude envelope distributed according to Rayleigh's law has been carried out. The considered signal model is typical for group signals of mobile communication systems. The developed technique is based on a more detailed piecewise linear approximation of the static characteristics of the power amplifier than usual, consideration of the normalized input signal level at which its nonlinear distortions begin, and also the introduction of the concept of the nominal cutoff angle associated with this voltage. Based on the developed idealized model of a nonlinear power amplifier, an estimate of the potential average amplification efficiency of a typical complex composite signal characteristic of mobile communication systems was obtained. It is shown that the maximum possible value of the power amplifier efficiency in the ideal case cannot exceed (13-15)%.The presented approach can be used to estimate the potentially achievable average efficiency of signal amplification with any given function of the probability density of the values of its amplitude envelope. © 2022 IEEE.

signals from a message source can be of various types. At the same time, for their description, appropriate models are used, which make it possible to represent the generated signals in various metric spaces that are adequate to the type of signals under consideration. So, for example, the Euclidean space is used to describe analog signals, while Hamming space is used to describe a discrete digital signal. It is obvious that the mapping of signals first in the Euclidean space and then in the Hamming space corresponds to a nonlinear transformation, part of which is the need to match the powers of the corresponding sets under the condition of a one-to-one (one-to-one) mapping and with the introduced quality criterion. The article proposes a method for analyzing the bijection of the original set and the set of signal values at the reception, corresponding to the transformation of the elements of the original signal into digital elements of the Hamming space. This method makes it possible to carry out quantitative calculations in order to select the best one-digit match (bijection) method that provides the minimum amount of additional distortions arising in the elements of the original set due to errors in the elements of the set of signal values at the reception. © 2022 IEEE.

The article explores the methodology of complex analysis of ways effective management of production systems. A generalized approach to the decomposition of modern digital systems based on physical control actions, signal transmission ways and generalized principles of control system construction is investigated. Additional control physical effects act as one of the target factors of intensification. A generalized formulation of the problem of optimal control of complex multistage processes is proposed, considering the main perturbing processes and a piecewise-constant functions of the local tasks. Methods of search of new technical solutions by means of the morphological analysis as the tool of systemic and cybernetic approaches in scientific research are proved. Intensification of control systems is aimed at increasing their economic efficiency as a result on search for technological resources, of purposeful influence traffic flows and so on. The formulated principles of hierarchy, selectivity, openness, and mutual consistency, which are not exhaustive, but are closely interrelated and determine the application of methods of hierarchically interconnected control, considering the intensification of systems when choosing the control factors, as well as of physical impacts. The proposed approach leads to the possibility of intensification of high-tech industrial production processes and transport systems, and so can be implemented in the process of their technical operation. Identification of possible physical effects, synchronization of signals is a key factor in using the proposed methodology. The modular system of transport companies allows for flexible and transparent management of the system as a set of individual elements. Generalized goal-oriented models are applicable in many branches of industrial production, including the intensification of transport systems and business processes of enterprises. © 2023 IEEE.

High-speed telecommunications fiber-optical cable lines reliability refers to the dominant factors of ensuring their economic efficiency. Telecommunications operator's income loss due to the data transmission services failures caused by communications breakdowns or the service life shortening depends directly on the cable lines capacity which increases year by year. The paper presents telecommunication fiber-optical cable lines reliability and durability quantifications. Fiber-optical cable trouble-free operation probability in external and internal damages influence is estimated. The optical fiber destruction cumulative danger in free position (and) under bending and torsion is being calculated. The fiber-optical cable lines service life is determined by the energy reserve exhaustion due to losses increase caused by additional attenuation of cable inserts in linear transmission path during damage restoration works. The analytical expressions of faults duration, the fiber-optical cable line service life average and gamma percent values, the income loss due to data transmission services failures are given. Income losses in monetary units are given for a line with an operating frequency band in the optical ranges S.L, the number of spatial channels I...I2, the idle coefficients IO 10, the service life shortening 1...3 years. © 2023 IEEE.

Today, modern low earth orbit (LEO) mobile satellite systems require constant data exchange with cloud computing centers located on Earth to work correctly. Moreover, there is both real-time data transmission and data that allows for a delay, this, for example, may be telemetry data. In the described model the key performance features of the conjoint traffic processing were defined. They are defined using values of probabilities of the model's stationary states. The numerical algorithm of measuring of designed performance metrics by solving the state equations system with the help of the Gauss-Zeidel algorithm is presented. The model and the resulting algorithms can be used to assess the service quality and load levels of a small cloud computing node. One of the possible options for future research on this topic may be to restrict the access of applications for data processing to prioritize the processing of real-time applications. © 2022 IEEE.

The traffic safety of an automatic transport facility is one of the most pressing and interesting problems. The use of neural networks to solve this problem is the most promising development. The problem of constructing the trajectory of a transport object in the event of a dead-end obstacle is described in our article. A model of the control system is proposed, in which the constantly updated information received from the sensors is analyzed. At the same time, it should be noted that this information contradicts some unchanged data that are taken from global sensors. An external object that can change the rules for the movement of vehicles in the current conditions conducts data analysis. Based on the results of this analysis, it is proposed, according to a certain algorithm, to change the route of the autonomous object in accordance with the shortest option for returning to the original trajectory. The article defines a neural network according to the energy function that minimizes the cost of movement and ensures the safety of an autonomous object. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper provides description of the new algorithm of orthogonal precoding for multiple-input multipleoutput (MIMO) systems. The idea of using orthogonal transformation for improving gaining is being implemented for 2x2 Golden code. Previously the optimization methods for spacetime codes (STC) used simulation to get the optimal structure instead of this paper where we offer an analytical approach. Then we realized some concerns about covariance matrix for MMSE-based demodulator and offer some restraints for main diagonal elements. This approach might be useful for any type of STC. Simulation results for 8x8 and 16x16 MIMO channels verify that proposed algorithm provides improved performance at energy efficiencies about 2 - 5 dB. Complexity of receiver algorithm does not increase in this approach. © 2022 IEEE.
