Cameras have become ubiquitous in our daily lives. The task of measuring and verifying the camera's declared characteristics is of increasing importance. Current measurement methods range from subjective assessments using a large number of experts to more stringent characteristics, such as the determination of the modulation transfer function. Methods used last ten years have proven successful and reliable results. However, the question of how the current computational methods improve the performance of the camera has received much less attention, especially in the conditions of the test. A significant problem is a fact that the measuring instruments used in the test are standardized and do not change between measurements. In this paper, new a generative table-based measurement approach that allows you to create random initial measurement conditions. This new method opens up opportunities for improving the quality assessment of the camera's work and providing real characteristics. The method is based on random sequences and cannot be deceived by processing algorithms inside the current software of the camera. The method is suitable to assess compression implementations in closed systems © 2022 IEEE.

When managing the flow of traffic in a large-scale network, it is necessary to take into account the speed of its generation by network users in order to determine and implement its optimal distribution between network routes in order to meet the quality of service parameters. In networks with a complex structure, it is more likely to expect a large load on its individual nodes, which subsequently leads to the formation of queues and traffic delays. One of the ways to overcome this situation is the transition from IP/MPLS protocols to segment routing technology, which should increase the flexibility of work and reduce the total number of protocols in the network. Segment routing also allows you to choose the optimal channels, with its help it is possible to provide both rapid re-routing and additional optimization of traffic routes in complex networks. Flow load balancing distributes packets across multiple channels and allows the router to use multiple paths to achieve even load distribution. In this case, it is possible to apply the Backman model for an equilibrium distribution of flows in a network with segment routing. © 2022 IEEE.

The purpose of the work is to develop algorithms for frequency analysis of spectral, rhythmic, cepstral and spectral parameters of a sound broadcasting signal (SBS), which provide consistent, with the perception characteristics of a peripheral human auditory analyzer, results and allow assessing the quality of transmission of the sound-broadcasting signal by a real signal. Traditional methods of spectral analysis of the sound-broadcasting signal, at short time intervals commensurate with individual sounds, do not provide acceptable accuracy and resolution capability. The requirements for accuracy and resolution capability of spectral analysis consistent with the capabilities of the human peripheral auditory analyzer are justified. Algorithm of signal analysis based on discrete cosine transformation (DCT) of complex represented SBS is proposed with simultaneous generation of additional compensating signal, which allows to eliminate side petals of estimation. Subsequent analysis of multiple transposed SBS allows us to bring the score closer to the accuracy of the human auditory analyzer. The resolution capability of the analysis is twice of the discrete Fourier transform (DFT). Examples of practical use of developed algorithms are given. © 2022 IEEE.

This article considers the issues of organizing the educational process when studying the disciplines "Electrical Engineering", "Theory of Electrical Circuits", "Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering"and "Fundamentals of Computer Analysis of Electrical Circuits"at the Department of Electrical Circuit Theory of Moscow Technical University of communications and Informatics. When studying these disciplines, the educational process includes lecture, practical classes and laboratory work in specialized laboratories on stands equipped with measuring devices and radio technical elements. In addition, the department has personal computers with software that allows to process the results of field experiments, compile reports, and also simulate processes that occur in electrical circuits. The stands used at the department were developed by the teachers of the department Drago G.N. and Dobrotvorsky I.N. For many years, these stands have been successfully used in many universities and colleges. Inevitably, the time comes when the instruments built into the stand are morally outdated, and the task arises to develop a new stand for the laboratory workshop. In this work, the criteria that a modern laboratory stand should meet are considered. © 2022 IEEE.

communications make up the most important part of the city's infrastructure, and as "smart"technologies spread, transport becomes one of the areas of their most active application. With the development of the urbanization process, the load on the transport system is particularly increasing, new "challenges"arise for the management system of large municipalities related to ensuring the quality of life and safety expected by citizens. Modernization of the transport system in the context of population growth is the most effective within the framework of the "smart city"model. This means a course towards the integration of information and communication technologies for the management of urban infrastructure. The use of intelligent solutions in the development of the transport industry is aimed at reducing the importance of the "human"factor and related negative manifestations, reducing transaction costs for the economy, increasing manageability and optimizing traffic flow management, which gives a positive effect of creating a better infrastructure, environmentally friendly and socially favorable urban environment. The article discusses the concept of an intelligent transport system (ITS) as part of the concept of a "smart"city. The main advantages and risks of the introduction of intelligent transport systems, the prospects for their further development, as well as examples of digital forms of interaction between government and society on topical issues of urban governance are analyzed. © 2022 IEEE.

The search for new methods of organizing secure communications in the absence of direct visibility of correspondents led to research in the range of ultraviolet wavelengths. The UVC range is characterized by a low noise level from the Sun, a high degree of radiation scattering due to the commensurability of the radiation wavelength and the size of molecules and aerosols in the air. Communication in the ultraviolet waveband has unique features, such as a small radius of action, which means it is difficult to detect, the ability to deliver information outside the direct line of sight of correspondents, which means it can be used in urban and forest areas, a non-distributed frequency range (wavelengths), the equipment is a unique device. Research on this topic has been going on since the 1960s, and with the advent of new semiconductor devices, the ultraviolet waveband has flared up with renewed vigor. The article describes the model of the communication channel of the ultraviolet waveband, draws attention to the choice of components of the communication device layout, and also describes the experiments carried out. © 2022 IEEE.

The development of 5G technologies, Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) systems and Internet of Things (IoT) leads to change in the traditional paradigm of frequency-territorial planning. Indeed, in addition to reducing the distance between base stations of cellular communication, there is a problem of come close to them by radio means of mobile devices. In these cases, reverse intermodulation distortion (RIMD) occurs between closely spaced simultaneously operating transmitters. If they fall into the reception band, they disrupt the normal functioning of radio equipment. Therefore, the requirements for transmitters EMC characteristics are increasing. Class D power amplifiers in addition to higher efficiency, potentially, may have lower RIMD. The article discusses RIMD in previously unexplored Voltage Mode Class D (VMCD) RF Power Amplifiers. The theoretical approach to calculating RIMD in VMCD RF power amplifiers has been developed. The analysis performed showed that in order to achieve the desired levels of intermodulation distortion, not exceeding -70 dB, it is necessary to ensure the difference in saturation resistances is not more than 20% and saturation time deviation from the meander is not more than 2 degrees. © 2022 IEEE.

In order to ensure the operational and effective safety of on-board systems created for their offline use, it is necessary to apply methods of forecasting threats and choosing the optimal strategy for preventing their consequences. Threats to economic security regarding the life cycle of on-board systems created in the digital economy are usually determined by the level and probability of external, influencing factors that determine the stability and operation of the support system for their life cycle, as which the economic system is considered. From the point of view of systems theory and system analysis, these factors are commonly referred to as environmental state variables. They are random in nature and, when mathematically described, can be continuous, discrete, or categorical. Continuous variables, when they are registered, are represented in the form of graphs or register diagrams. But for statistical and mathematical processing, they are translated into a table format or a discrete form, which, in fact, reduces them to a specific form. Discrete values of environmental variables are recorded in the form of tables or numerical sequences. Categorical variables have the meaning of logical or Boolean values and are registered in the form of tables. The prediction of categorical variables, based on the mathematical definition of safety, must be made by assessing the probability of their manifestation and impact on the life cycle support system of on-board systems as complex technical systems. The main problem in this case is the insufficient volume of statistical data to obtain estimates with a sufficient level of confidence and a tight decision-making time. The presented paper presents a Bayesian approach and a method for assessing the likelihood of threats on a limited set of data flow. videos are going to occupy 82% of Internet traffic by 2022, as now we can observe a trend that video streaming is taking up more and more Internet bandwidth. With video traffic skyrocketing, improvements in video encoding technology are critical for video streaming companies. Assessing the quality of video compression in terms of human perception is an important area of research. Subjective evaluations of video quality require a lot of time for experiments and are not feasible in real-time applications. Therefore, interest in the development of models for the objective evaluation of video quality has a high growth trend in recent years. The main problem of modern objective quality assessments is unreliable information provided by developers, poor correlation with the visual perception of artefacts by the end user-human. In this paper, we present an analysis of modern video quality assessments used to assess the quality of video sequences during signal streaming. This work will be useful to video compression researchers, and will also be useful in creating additional test materials, planning future experiments, and improving adaptive codecs. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper focuses on research of newly designed radiation resistant optical fibre cables for application in harsh environments, where elevated temperatures are one of those. To make a conclusion whether it is possible to use these cables under elevated temperatures a series of experiments were held where performance (attenuation coefficient and Mandelstam-Brillouin scattering) of the cables and optical fibre were measured before, during and after the tests - accelerated aging and non-accelerated aging. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermomechanical analysis (TMA) and IR-spectroscopy of polymer coatings of optical fibre and optical fibre cables were held before and after the exposure of the samples to elevated temperatures. Test results of accelerated and non-accelerated aging showed that accelerated aging does not fully represent behavior of polymer material under study. The results showed that designed specialty optical fibre cables are suitable to be used under elevated temperatures (100 °C and above) for more than 10 000 hours. © 2022 IEEE.
