visual tracking aims to estimate the state of an arbitrary object in a video frame only when the bounding box is given in the first frame. However, the existing trackers still struggle to adapt to complex environments due to the lack of adaptive appearance features. In this paper, we propose a graph attention transformer network, termed GATransT, to improve the robustness of visual tracking. Specifically, we design an adaptive graph attention module to enrich the embedding information extracted by the transformer backbone, which establishes the part-to-part correspondences between the template and search nodes. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that the proposed tracker outperforms the state-of-the-art methods on five challenging datasets, including OTB100, UAV123, LaSOT, GOT-10k, and TrackingNet.

为了提出性能优异的图像质量评价(IQA)模型,本文基于人类视觉感知特性和图像的灰度梯度、局部对比度和清晰度特征,提出了一种基于图像内容对比感知的IQA方法.在该方法中,首先结合视觉感知特性,基于物理学中对比度定义,提出一种图像质量定义及其值计算方法;之后,基于灰度梯度共生矩阵,提出一种图像灰度梯度熵的概念及其值的计算方法,并基于图像灰度梯度熵、局部对比度和清晰度,提出一种图像内容及其视觉感知的描述方法;最后,基于图像内容特征和图像质量定义,综合分析,提出IQA方法及其数学模型.并且采用5个开源图像数据库中的119幅参考图像和6395幅失真图像对其进行了仿真测试,同时分析和探讨了52种失真类型对IQA的影响;另外,为了说明所提IQA模型的优势,将其与现有的7个典型IQA模型,从精度、复杂性和泛化性能上进行了对比分析.实验结果表明,所提IQA模型的精度PLCC值在5个数据库中最低可以实现0.8616,最高可达到0.9622,其性能综合效益优于7个现有IQA模型.研究结果表明,所提IQA方法是有效的、可行的,所提IQA模型是一个性能优异的IQA模型.

We present in this work a generic and effective method to increase the prediction accuracy of no-reference image/ video blur assessment facing the real-world content diversity. We demonstrate that benchmarking no reference image blur metrics, fitting a single logistic function to map the objective predictions to subjective scores in the well-known databases like LIVE or TID2008/ 2013, introduce biased fitting results towards better predictions only in the central part of the score scale. We find out that a multi-fitting approach, using the correlation parameters between subjective scores and objective predictions for content clustering and then conducting logistic fitting for each content type, can evidently improve the metric prediction accuracy in the full score scale. Besides, the overall prediction variance is also reduced with the proposed scheme, presenting more consistent results insensitive of content variation. We prove that the proposed method is of practical meaning to facilitate blur assessment techniques validated on limited databases to the vastly abundant real-life content types.

This paper describes an image quality assessment (IQA) metric based on the visual perception of image contents (VPIC). In the metric, VPIC is firstly modelled by simulating the nonlinearity of luminance perception, masking properties and contrast sensitivity characteristics of human visual system (HVS). Then the source and distorted images are processed by this model respectively, and their intensity differences are calculated. Finally, based on the intensity differences, an IQA model is built. And 47 reference images and 1549 distorted images in the LIVE, TID2008 and CSIQ databases are tested with the IQA metric. The results show that it is helpful to improve the consistency between the objective IQA scores and the subjective mean opinion scores (MOSs) combining the visual perception and complexity of image contents.

Existing no-reference image quality assessment (NR-IQA) methods mainly focus on designing the low-level features related to image degradation. However, the evaluation of image quality is the human visual perception of image content, involving the integrated analysis of global high-level semantics and local low-level characteristics. From this perspective, we propose a NR-IQA framework based on global and local content perception. We adopt the deep convolutional neural network (DCNN) to extract the semantic feature implied in global image content. The perception of visual quality associated with local content utilizes the visual attention and filtering mechanisms of human visual system. The overall image quality is estimated by combining the semantic and local characteristic features generated from the perceptions. Experimental results on the LIVE IQA database demonstrate that our method is superior to the state-of-the-art NR-IQA algorithms and competitive to the popular full reference IQA methods. Further experiments on the TID2008 dataset show that the proposed approach is robust for various kinds of distortion types.

In recent years, significant achievements have been achieved in the field of face recognition. Face recognition are special pattern recognition which are used in banking for identity approving and the entrance of controlled areas, the places where the security control impending to airports, to control machines,to follow-up of persons. In this study, face recognition applications on the Yale face databases have been performed by using PCA (Principal Component Analysis), LDA (Linear Discriminant Analysis), LBP (Local Binary Patterns). Database consist of right-light, center-light, left-right, no glasses, glasses, normal, wink, sleepy, surprised, happy, sad images. In the face recognition pre-processing steps, HE (Histogram Equalization), HE+ Median Filter, HE+Gaussian filter, He+Laplace Filter was used. It is provided to select the appropriate method from the system depending on state of image. Thus the system recognition rate increases of up to 6% was observed. visual quality of color images is an important aspect in various applications of digital image processing and multimedia. A large number of visual quality metrics (indices) has been proposed recently. In order to assess their reliability, several databases of color images with various sets of distortions have been exploited. Here we present a new database called TID2013 that contains a larger number of images. Compared to its predecessor TID2008, seven new types and one more level of distortions are included. The need for considering these new types of distortions is briefly described. Besides, preliminary results of experiments with a large number of volunteers for determining the mean opinion score (MOS) are presented. Spearman and Kendall rank order correlation factors between MOS and a set of popular metrics are calculated and presented. Their analysis shows that adequateness of the existing metrics is worth improving. Special attention is to be paid to accounting for color information and observers focus of attention to locally active areas in images. © 2013 University Paris 13.

No-reference image quality assessment (NR IQA) has wide applicability to many problems. This paper focuses on the mechanism of divisive normalization transform (DNT) which simulates the behavior of visual cortex neurons to extract the independent components of natural images, analyzes the difference between the statistics of neighboring DNT coefficients of the images of a variety of distortion, and proposes a novel solution for NR IQA metric design. We demonstrate that measuring the statistical independence between neighboring DNT coefficients could provide features useful for quality assessment. The performance of the proposed method is quite satisfactory when it was tested on the popular LIVE, CSIQ and TID2008 databases. The experimental results are fairly competitive with the existing NR IQA metrics.
