LiFePO 4 is a.promising ca.hode ma.eria. used in Li-ion ba.teries. It offers better cycla.ility a.d is sa.er in terms of therma. runa.a. tha. previous LiCoO 2 or LiMnO 2 ca.hodes. With new a.plica.ions a. electric vehicles (EV) a.relia.le Sta.e-of-Cha.ge (SoC) estima.or becomes a.must. Cell's degra.a.ion or Sta.e-of-Hea.th (SoH) is crucia. when determining SoC. We a.m to find a.pa.a.eter rela.ed to SoH in order to ha.e rea.ia.le SoC indica.ors a. a.y time or condition. Impeda.ce, dyna.ic resista.ce a.d thermodyna.ics of cells with different degra.a.ion levels ha.e been studied. Correla.ion of SoH a.d impeda.ce of those cells is not found a. a.gla.ce. In contra.t, dyna.ic resista.ce, tempera.ure a.d entropy show good a.reement with SoH evolution.

Objective: To determine the influence of ra.ica. prosta.ectomy (RP) a.d externa. bea. ra.ia.ion thera.y (EBRT) on the hypotha.a.ic pituita.y a.is of 120 men with clinica.ly loca.ized prosta.e ca.cer trea.ed with RP or EBRT exclusively. Ma.eria.s a.d methods: 120 pa.ients with loca.ized prosta.e ca.cer were enrolled. Ninety two pa.ients underwent RP a.d 28 pa.ients EBRT exclusively. We mea.ured serum levels of luteinizing hormone, follicle stimula.ing hormone (FSH), tota. testosterone (T), free testosterone, a.d estra.iol a. ba.eline a.d a. 3 a.d 12 months a.ter trea.ment completion. Results: Pa.ients undergoing RP were younger a.d presented a.higher prosta.e volume (64.3 vs. 71.1 yea.s, p < 0.0001 a.d 55.1 vs. 36.5 g, p < 0.0001;respectively). No differences rega.ding serum hormona. levels were found a. ba.eline. Luteinizing hormone a.d FSH levels were significa.tly higher in those pa.ients trea.ed with EBRT a. three months (luteinizing hormone 8,54 vs. 4,76 U/l, FSH 22,96 vs. 8,18 U/l, p < 0,0001) while T a.d free testosterone levels were significa.tly lower (T 360,3 vs. 414,83 ng/dl, p 0,039;free testosterone 5,94 vs. 7,5 pg/ml, p 0,018). a. 12 months FSH levels rema.ned significa.tly higher in pa.ients trea.ed with EBRT compa.ed to pa.ients trea.ed with RP (21,01 vs. 8,51 U/l, p <0,001) while T levels rema.ned significa.tly lower (339,89 vs. 402,39 ng/dl, p 0,03). Conclusions: Prosta.e ca.cer trea.ment influences the hypotha.a.ic pituita.y a.is. This influence seems to be more importa.t when pa.ients with prosta.e ca.cer a.e trea.ed with EBRT ra.her tha. RP. Ca.bona.e reservoirs in the southern region of Mexico a.e deep, hot, a.d na.ura.ly fra.tured. The intensity of na.ura. fra.tures va.ies grea.ly. Wells in these forma.ions a.e typica.ly completed with multiple perfora.ed interva.s, with different producibility a.d pressure. The oil production is dependent on the presence of na.ura. fra.tures, which, with time, a.e inva.ed by the a.uifer, lea.ing the rema.ning reserves in the low-permea.ility forma.ion ma.rix. The cha.lenge when stimula.ing these wells is not only to selectively divert the trea.ing fluid a.a. from the na.ura. fra.tures, but a.so to reduce wa.er production from the na.ura. fra.tures a.d fissures a.ter the trea.ment. To divert trea.ing fluid from the lower-pressured na.ura. fra.tures requires a.viscous fluid with fibers or solid pa.ticles, wherea. to limit wa.er production a.ter the trea.ment requires a.disproportiona.e permea.ility modifier (DPM). However, the a.sorption of conventiona. ca.ionic low-viscosity DPM polymers is often limited in ca.bona.es. This led to the development of a.viscous zwitterionic DPM (ZDPM) fluid to both divert stimula.ion fluids from the na.ura. fra.tures a.d reduce wa.er production a.ter the trea.ment. The ZDPM fluid comprises two polymers a.d a.viscoela.tic surfa.ta.t a. a.concentra.ion below the critica. micelle concentra.ion. The a.sorption a.d DPM properties of the polymers a.e further enha.ced by a.justing the pH a.d sa.inity of the fluid. More tha. 150 trea.ments ha.e been performed in mixed ca.bona.e forma.ions with na.ura. fra.tures a.d fissures using the ZDPM fluid. The oil production increa.ed by a. much a. 220% while a. the sa.e time the wa.er cut wa. reduced by up to 23%. This is supported by core flow testing in which the ZDPM fluid reduces the effective permea.ility to wa.er by up to 80%, wherea. in oil-wet cores, the fluid wa.er-wets the core a.d effectively stimula.es oil production, in some ca.es by more tha. 25%. Inhibitors of the mecha.istic ta.get of ra.a.ycin (mTOR) a.e currently used to trea. a.va.ced meta.ta.ic brea.t ca.cer. However, whether a. a.gressive phenotype is susta.ned through a.a.ta.ion or resista.ce to mTOR inhibition rema.ns unknown. Here, complementa.y studies in huma. tumors, ca.cer models a.d cell lines revea. tra.scriptiona. reprogra.ming tha. supports meta.ta.is in response to mTOR inhibition. This ca.cer fea.ure is driven by EVI1 a.d SOX9. EVI1 functiona.ly coopera.es with a.d positively regula.es SOX9, a.d promotes the tra.scriptiona. upregula.ion of key mTOR pa.hwa. components (REHB a.d Ra.TOR) a.d of lung meta.ta.is media.ors (FSCN1 a.d SPa.C). The expression of EVI1 a.d SOX9 is a.socia.ed with stem cell-like a.d meta.ta.is signa.ures, a.d their depletion impa.rs the meta.ta.ic potentia. of brea.t ca.cer cells. These results esta.lish the mecha.istic link between resista.ce to mTOR inhibition a.d ca.cer meta.ta.ic potentia., thus enha.cing our understa.ding of mTOR ta.geting fa.lure.
