The Jacobi system reformulation is one of the performance bottlenecks for the finite element procedure. This paper takes the ion flow field problem as an example to present a structure optimization finite element method. Structural splitting and reorganization techniques are applied to optimize the data layout of the element info and batched BLAS operation is applied to improve cache utilization. The method is verified under the problem of unipolar and bipolar ion flow field, and the performance of the method is two orders of magnitude faster than the conventional array of structure-based implementations. The present method is easy to implement and can be further applied to solve other types of electromagnetic problems. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. Co., Ltd. 2025.

PFformer: A Time-Series Forecasting Model for Short-Term Precipitation Forecasting

Recent years witnessed increasing average annual precipitation in northern Xinjiang, amplifying the region's vulnerability to natural disasters due to its fragile ecology and limited ground infiltration capacity. Therefore, the study of precipitation forecast in northern Xinjiang area is of vital significance to prevent these disasters. This study aims to capture the internal feature dependencies of complex multivariate meteorological data, build a PFformer model based on deep learning by reducing the algorithm time complexity of the short-term precipitation forecast model, use piecewise attention to reduce the algorithm complexity, and enhance the point-by-point dot product attention mechanism in the self-attention model. Data from five meteorological stations in Urumqi, Karamay, Tacheng, Altay, and Hami were used for the experiment. Comparing PFformer with mainstream time series prediction models, performance evaluation using Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Mean Absolute Error (MAE) indicates superior accuracy. Compared with the benchmark model, PFformer's MSE improved by 7.85% on average and MAE improved by 9.74% on average. It shows potential for improving the accuracy of short-term precipitation forecasting, offering valuable assistance in disaster mitigation and management.

With the rapid urbanization and continuous development of urban power grids in China, more and more electrical substations are surrounded by densely populated areas, and the number of relevant noise complaint is soaring every year from the local residents. As the main transformer is the largest heat-emitting object in the substation, its doors and air inlets must be kept open to maintain good ventilation and cooling conditions for its safe operation, especially in summer, but meanwhile result in the weak parts of appropriate noise control of main transformer room. This paper therefore, adopted RAYNOISE to investigate the influence of the doors and air inlets on the outdoor noise propagation of transformer chamber in substations. After the validation of computer models with field measurement results, it has been shown that the combination of soundproof metal door and air inlet can lead to an extra 5-6dBA noise reduction, compared with the ordinary door and inlets. Based on a large number of simulation results, a set of the prediction models is established with regard to the outdoor noise distribution of typical substations in China. © 2017 Institute of Noise Control Engineering. Substation noise engineering control is an important environmental protection content of current power grid companies. How to ensure the effectiveness of noise control and reduce environmental complaints and disputes has become an important subject for engineering and technical personnel. This paper analyzes and discusses the "Environmental Noise Emission Standards for Industrial Plants" (GB 12348-2008), and uses the simulation calculations and analysis cases of typical substation noise control to propose the principles and principles of sensitive targets and station boundaries in substation noise control. The analysis method in substation noise control provides reference and reference for the revision of substation noise engineering control technology and related standards.

Motion estimation is an important part of ultrasound strain elastography. The sum-table based motion estimation method, which can effectively reduce computation time and redundant calculation, is a fast motion estimation approach. Except for NCC, it can also be extended to other motion estimators. The main work and contribution of this paper is to implement different motion estimators (CC, NCC, SSD, SAD) on GPU platform based on the sum-table method and to compare the performance of these motion estimators with the classical method on GPU. The difference of computational cost of each estimator based on the sum-table method mainly lies in the construction of the sum-table. The computation burden per thread is small, so data addressing is the dominant work per thread. It has been reported that the sum-table method does not have particular advantage over the classical method with a large search range on GPU platform. However, it possesses good performance with a huge tracking kernel window.

This paper presents a model for computing Power frequency electromagnetic field of over head high voltage transmission line based on Simulation Charge Method. Based on this model, the electric field intensity under power line is calculated and the distribution is analyzed in different condition such as different distant between phase line, different phase order for double circuit, and different arrangement of line in single circuit or double circuit. According to the simulation results, the electric fields under over head transmission line can be forecast. This is no doubt important in environment protection and available in the design of transmission line.

Noise source identification is a key step in the noise control design of the transformer. The sound propagation is influenced by the reverberation effect in the indoor substation, which leads that the traditional method cannot give correct results in such environment. To supress the reverberation effect, a sparse equivalent source method is proposed to realize the noise source identification in indoor substation. This method first establishes the indoor sound transfer function model between the equivalent source surface and the acquisition surface by using wave simulation. Based on the wave simulation and combined with the sound pressure sampling data, the distributed equivalent source is recovered on the equivalent source surface by sparse recovery algorithm, and finally the sound pressure reconstruction on the reconstruction surface is realized. The numerical verification demonstrates that this method is capable of extracting the real noise information in the reverberation sound and giving the real noise source distribution result. This method can be used as an effective method in the noise source identification in the indoor substation.

With the development of the power grid and the continuous construction of high-voltage transmission lines, the impact of high-voltage transmission lines in the nearby residential areas is increasingly concerned. Based on the mechanism of induction power generation, according to the relationship between voltage and electric field, this paper proposed an inductive electrical measurement method in the near-ground area under high-voltage transmission line. In this paper, the proposed method is verified by COMSOL simulation software. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the method proposed in this paper. The induced voltage measurement method in the near-ground area proposed in this paper can be applied to the evaluation of induced electricity and electromagnetic environmental protection. © 2022 IEEE.

With the development of urbanization, substations have started to be built in urban areas where the population is concentrated. In order to effectively control the noise pollution from substations, sound barriers are built inside the substations to block the propagation of noise, so the sound insulation value of the sound barriers becomes an important indicator. However, the edge diffraction phenomenon will lead to errors between the real sound attenuation and the laboratory measurement value. The classical geometrical diffraction theory is a commonly used method to estimate the sound attenuation from edge of the barrier. However, it is a 2D model which cannot be used for 3D problem. In order to correctly estimate the sound attenuation in a 3D environment, this paper conducts relevant research. Firstly, it investigates the influencing factors of sound attenuation caused by the edge diffraction. Then, a 3D simulation model based on the classical 2D geometric diffraction theory is proposed. The accuracy of the model is verified by simulation test and experimental test for barriers with different shapes. The results show that the model is capable of giving satisfied estimations of the edge diffraction from the sound barrier in substation. © 2024 IEEE.

With the development of urbanization, substations have started to be established in urban areas where the population is concentrated. To realize effective control of the substation noise, accurate measurements of the noise inside the substation and the surrounding area are necessary. However, in an urban area, the background noise, such as traffic noise, causes the sampled signals to contain not only the substation noise but also the background noise, which decreases the measurement accuracy. Thus, separating the substation noise from the environmental background noise is necessary. An independent component analysis method is used to realize the separation of the substation noise from complex environmental noises. In this paper, two typical environmental noises are selected, and their characteristics and the urban substation noise are analyzed. Then, a separation method based on the independent component analysis is constructed for separating substation noise. Its accuracy is evaluated using measured mixed signals. The verification shows that the separated substation noise is very close to the original substation noise signal, which shows that the method can be used in practical substation noise control engineering applications. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
