With the development of urbanization, substations have started to be built in urban areas where the population is concentrated. In order to effectively control the noise pollution from substations, sound barriers are built inside the substations to block the propagation of noise, so the sound insulation value of the sound barriers becomes an important indicator. However, the edge diffraction phenomenon will lead to errors between the real sound attenuation and the laboratory measurement value. The classical geometrical diffraction theory is a commonly used method to estimate the sound attenuation from edge of the barrier. However, it is a 2D model which cannot be used for 3D problem. In order to correctly estimate the sound attenuation in a 3D environment, this paper conducts relevant research. Firstly, it investigates the influencing factors of sound attenuation caused by the edge diffraction. Then, a 3D simulation model based on the classical 2D geometric diffraction theory is proposed. The accuracy of the model is verified by simulation test and experimental test for barriers with different shapes. The results show that the model is capable of giving satisfied estimations of the edge diffraction from the sound barrier in substation.

Motion estimation is an important part of ultrasound strain elastography. The sum-table based motion estimation method, which can effectively reduce computation time and redundant calculation, is a fast motion estimation approach. Except for NCC, it can also be extended to other motion estimators. The main work and contribution of this paper is to implement different motion estimators (CC, NCC, SSD, SAD) on GPU platform based on the sum-table method and to compare the performance of these motion estimators with the classical method on GPU. The difference of computational cost of each estimator based on the sum-table method mainly lies in the construction of the sum-table. The computation burden per thread is small, so data addressing is the dominant work per thread. It has been reported that the sum-table method does not have particular advantage over the classical method with a large search range on GPU platform. However, it possesses good performance with a huge tracking kernel window.

This paper presents a model for computing power frequency electromagnetic field of overhead high voltage transmission line based on simulation charge method. Based on this model, the electric field intensity under power line is calculated and the distribution is analyzed in different condition such as different distant between phase line, different phase order for double circuit, and different arrangement of line in single circuit or double circuit. According to the simulation results, the electric fields under overhead transmission line can be forecast. This is no doubt important in environment protection and available in the design of transmission line.

Vibration generated by the large power transformer has a harmful effect on the surrounding buildings and environment as a consequence of structure-borne propagation or air noise, and impacts on the stability and service life of precision machinery within the substation. Now, the study of vibration of transformer and related vibration isolation technology has attracted more and more attention by power supply departments and relevant transformer manufacturing enterprises. To decrease the transformer vibration. This paper investigated the ON-OFF controller for transformer vibration isolation system. Firstly, the performance of the vertical magnetorheological elastomer(MRE) isolator is evaluated by sweep frequency test. Then ON-OFF controller designed and applied to control isolator. Finally, numerical simulations with multi-frequency excitations are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the controller. The ON-OFF controller and passive controller are compared at base and the bottom of transformer in response displacement to demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of ON-OFF controller.

As the geometric configuration and physical model of HVDC transmission lines become more complex, the solver increasingly becomes a performance bottleneck in research on ion flow field problems. The preconditioner is a key component for the performance of iterative solvers. Although the algebraic multigrid method is proven to be an optimal preconditioner for elliptic equations, it results in significant stability issues when applied to convection-dominated transport equations. In this work, the algebraic multigrid method employing an approximate ideal restriction operator is applied to solve the transport equation arising in ion flow field problems. Compared to the classical algebraic multigrid method, the Petrov-Galerkin algebraic multigrid method demonstrates good performance in solving the transport equation for ion flow field simulations. This improvement helps address the large-scale electromagnetic environment issues of HVDC transmission lines.
