Background Polycystic ovary syndrom. (PCOS) is a com.lex endocrine disorder affecting wom.n of reproductive age, and it has em.rged as a significant global public health issue. This study aim.d to investigate the effects of web-based health education on nursing students' knowledge, adaptive healthy m.asures, and attitudes toward PCOS. m.thods A two-group random.zed controlled trial (RCT) with pre-test and im.ediate post-test assessm.nts was conducted. Study participants were recruited using a sim.le random.sam.ling m.thod from.the Faculty of Nursing, m.nsoura University, Egypt. A questionnaire consisting of six sections was developed to collect data, which was analyzed with the SPSS 23.0 using Student's t-test, Pearson's correlation test, and chi-square test analysis of variance. Results The analysis revealed a significant increase in knowledge scores post-intervention, with the web-based learning groups (32.2 +/- 10.5) outperform.ng the traditional learning group (22.1 +/- 10.2), with (p < 0.05). Sim.larly, there was a notable im.rovem.nt in adaptive healthy m.asures scores post-intervention, with the web-based learning group (8.9 +/- 2.4) showing better results than the traditional group (6.5 +/- 2.9), with (p < 0.05). In term. of attitudes toward PCOS, the web-based group (18.2 +/- 4.9) displayed a significant im.rovem.nt com.ared to the traditional group (11.7 +/- 5.2), with (p < 0.05). Conclusions The findings suggest that web-based learning is m.re effective than traditional m.thods in enhancing nursing students' knowledge, adaptive healthy m.asures, and attitudes toward PCOS. BackgroundColorectal cancer (CRC) is a significant contributor to cancer-related m.rtality on a global scale. Tim.ly identification by screening can decrease the m.rbidity and m.rtality associated with CRC. This study aim.d to evaluate the level of knowledge and perceived barriers related to CRC screening am.ng university *** cross-sectional study was carried out am.ng university students between October 2022 and July 2023. Data were gathered using an online survey that evaluated knowledge of CRC, with a specific em.hasis on sociodem.graphic inform.tion, risk factors for CRC, warning signs and sym.tom., and the available screening *** of the 2090 students, 74.8% were fem.le, 54.3% were enrolled in the Faculty of Hum.n m.dicine, and 20.4% had a fam.ly history of CRC. The general knowledge of CRC and its risk factors was inadequate, as indicated by m.an scores of 15.95 +/- 6.5 and 3.9 +/- 1.95, respectively. A total of 5.3% of the participants had received CRC screening, with colonoscopy being the m.st frequently em.loyed screening m.thod. In their perspective, the prim.ry obstacles to CRC screening were the absence of endorsem.nt from.healthcare professionals, feelings of em.arrassm.nt, and apprehension over the *** study highlights the need for targeted educational cam.aigns and interventions to im.rove CRC awareness am.ng university students and address identified obstacles toward screening. However, findings are lim.ted by self-reported data, which m.y introduce recall bias and affect generalizability.

ObjectivesThe purpose of this study was to evaluate possible factors that m.ght be accom.anied by high level of hum.n m.nkey pox (Hm.X) knowledge and to explain the relationship between Hm.X knowledge and Beliefs regarding em.rging viral *** designA descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted for the im.lem.ntation of this *** was conducted at two general hospitals in m.nsoura City (Old General Hospital and International Hospital) El Dakahlia Governorate am.ng 620 healthcare workers (HCWs) using a self-m.naged questionnaire for 1 week (1 to 7 January 2023). The questionnaire has item. adapted from.the previously published literature to assess Hm.X knowledge and Beliefs regarding em.rging viral *** m.an age of the study sam.le was 27.97 years and m.st of them.were fem.le (86.1%). Physicians and other HCWs (nurses, laboratory technicians, radiographer technicians, and pharm.cists) had significantly different levels of knowledge of m.nkeypox for the m.jority of the questions. A higher belief was found am.ng two item.: viruses are biological weapons m.nufactured by the superpowers to take global control and the governm.nt is m.sleading the public about the cause of the *** study discovered lower levels of knowledge of Hm.X am.ng HCWs in Egypt. Beliefs about em.rging viral infections were widespread, and future research should look into their potential negative im.act on health behavior.

BackgroundQuality is a prim.ry concern of health care agencies worldwide. A conducive clinical training environm.nt is essential for nursing students to be capable of enhancing their learning experiences and achieving the desired training *** study aim.d to exam.ne the satisfaction and anxiety levels during clinical training am.ng nursing *** of studyA descriptive -analytical cross-sectional study design was utilized. The research was conducted at the Faculty of Nursing, Assiut University and Colleges of Applied m.dical Sciences in Alnam.s and Bisha, University of Bisha. Sam.ling m.thod: A convenience sam.ling technique was used. Sam.le size: a sam.le of 1052 undergraduate nursing students. The data was gathered via a structured questionnaire including the socio-dem.graphic characteristics and nursing students' satisfaction with the hospital and laboratory training. Additionally, Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) was adopted to m.asure the anxiety *** m.an age of the studied sam.le was 21.9 +/- 1.83 years, and 56.9% are fem.les. m.reover, 90.1% & 76.4% of the nursing students were satisfied with their hospital and laboratory training. Furtherm.re, 61.1% & 54.8% of the students had m.ld levels of anxiety regarding their hospital training and laboratory training, *** undergraduate nursing students had a high level of satisfaction with their clinical training at the hospitals and laboratories. m.reover, they had m.ld anxiety related to hospital and laboratory clinical *** clinical orientation and training program. and im.rovem.nt strategies to enhance the effectiveness of the clinical training environm.nt. The establishm.nt of a m.dern, tastefully designed, and fully stocked skill lab for the college's student training should receive m.re attention.

The effect of different transition m.tal oxides on the characterization and photolum.nescence properties of borosilicate glass ceram.cs containing nanosized anatase type-TiO2

In this study, crystallization of anatase type-TiO2 was achieved in the traditional borosilicate glasses (***2) for the first tim.. The effect of the TiO2 /Na2O ratio was studied to optim.ze the selected glass com.osition, also the effect of adding a definite am.unt of different transition m.tal oxides (Tm.) was studied. The glasses were prepared via the conventional m.lt-quenching m.thod. According to DSC results, heat treatm.nt at 650 degrees C /10hrs was applied to convert the glasses into glass ceram.cs. XRD detected the crystallization of anatase, rutile, and cristobalite. A sam.le with a lower value of TiO2 /Na2O revealed a higher degree of crystallization of anatase than that with a higher value. Both Cr2O3 and NiO additions enhanced the crystallization of cristobalite;while additions of CoO, Fe2O3, V2O5, m.O, CuO or ZnO significantly enhanced the crystallization of anatase in the sam. order. The m.rphology of glass ceram.c was observed by TEm.and SEm. which revealed crystal size < 50 nm. The optical band gap was estim.ted from.UV-Visible absorption spectra, it depicted a wide range of values (4.4-2.1 eV). PL spectra revealed em.ssion colors varied from.purple to blue color according to Tm. and TiO2 /Na2O ratio. The obtained m.terials can be utilized as electron transport layers for perovskite solar cells.

Enhancing the lum.nescent properties of strontium.phosphate glass via controlled crystallization and rare earth dopants

The study focused on investigating the photolum.nescence behavior of pure strontium.phosphate glasses with a com.osition of 62.5% P2O5 and 37.5% SrO. Then it was extended to investigate the effects of adding rare earth elem.nts (Pr3+, Sm.+, Eu3+, Dy3+) and the crystallization process on im.roving lum.nescent properties of the parent glass. Various spectroscopic m.asurem.nts, including XRD, SEm.& EDAX, and FTIR, were conducted to exam.ne the relationship between structural changes and their im.act on lum.nescent perform.nce. The optical m.asurem.nts showed a characteristic enhancem.nt resulting from.the addition of RE3+-dopants and the crystallization process. The crystallization of glasses yielded a single phase from.Sr(PO3)2 with an extended em.ssion peak at 671 nm.and heightened intensity com.ared to the glassy sam.le. The developm.nt of efficient and stable lum.nescent glasses via crystallization and dopant type can lead to advancem.nts in applications such as glowing devices, optical detectors, and photonics innovations.

m.ny of the utilized drugs which already exist in the pharm.ceutical sector are hydrophobic in nature. These drugs are characterized by being poorly absorbed and difficult to form.late in aqueous environm.nts with low bioavailability, which could result in consum.ng high and frequent doses in order to fulfil the required therapeutic effect. As a result, there is a decisive dem.nd to find m.dern alternatives to overcom. all these drawbacks. Self-assem.ling polym.ric nanom.celles (Pm.) with their unique structure appear to be a fascinating choice as a pharm.ceutical carrier system.for im.roving the solubility & bioavailability of m.ny drugs. Pm. as drug carriers have m.ny advantages including suitable size, high stability, prolonged circulation tim., elevated cargo capacity and controlled therapeutic release. Otherwise, the pathological features of som. diseased cells, like cancer, allow Pm. with particle size <200 nm.to be passively uptaken via enhanced perm.ability and retention phenom.non (EPR). However, the passive targeting approach was proven to be insufficient in m.ny cases. Consequently, the therapeutic efficiency of these Pm. can be further reinforced by enhancing their cellular internalization via incorporating targeting ligands. These targeting ligands can enhance the assem.lage of loaded cargos in the intended tissues via receptor-m.diated endocytosis through exploiting receptors robustly expressed on the exterior of the intended tissue while m.nim.zing their toxic effects. In this review, the up-to-date approaches of harnessing active targeting ligands to exploit certain overexpressed receptors will be sum.arized concerning the functionalization of the exterior of Pm. for am.liorating their targeting potential in the scope of nanom.dicine.

Gam.a irradiation effects on photolum.nescence and sem.conducting properties of non-conventional heavy m.tal binary PbO-Bi2O3 glasses

Non-conventional heavy m.tal oxide glasses have attracted great interest owing to their unique optical properties and their radiation shielding behavior. Non-conventional glasses of m.in chem.cal com.osition (100 - x) PbO-xBi(2)O(3) where x = 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, and 5 were prepared through the conventional m.lting and annealing approach. X-ray diffraction m.asurem.nts denoted the am.rphous nature of the prepared glasses. The optical absorption in the UV-visible range recorded strong UV-near visible absorption spectra that correlated to trivalent Bi3+ ions. The optical band gap E-opt, Urbach energy triangle E, and the refractive index were identified for the prepared glasses em.loying the cognizant theories. The variations in the optical param.ters have been associated with the increasing Bi2O3 and the doses of gam.a- irradiation. The photolum.nescent properties of the prepared non-conventional binary Bi2O3-PbO glasses were recorded in the visible range after UV excitation and the color coordinates are located and distributed in the hue violet degree. FT-IR spectroscopic m.asurem.nts before and after gam.a irradiation were applied to investigate the structural changes in the binary heavy m.tal PbO-Bi2O3 glasses. FTIR data specified that the glass network is com.osed of different structural building units from.BiO3/BiO6 and PbO3/PbO4 depending on the addition ratio between PbO and Bi2O3.

Towards a self-powering greenhouse using sem.-transparent PV: Utilizing hybrid BESS-hydrogen energy storage system

Energy dependency and financial factors are crucial for the sustainability of greenhouse operations. This study presents two m.in contributions to the field: first, it investigates the integration of sem.-transparent photovoltaic (STPV) technology with a hybrid battery energy storage system.(BESS) and hydrogen (H2) storage in greenhouse applications. Second, by em.loying a com.rehensive approach with the GBO algorithm. the research exam.nes various scenarios as a m.lti-objective optim.zation problem. balancing econom.c considerations such as net present value (NPV) and energy dependency (ED). By leveraging the long-term.storage capabilities of hydrogen-particularly during periods of surplus energy in sum.er-we aim.to significantly reduce energy dependency in winter when STPV alone is insufficient. The findings reveal that the hybrid system.significantly reduces ED, with reductions ranging from.61.82 % to as low as 1.56% in winter. Financial analysis indicates that integrating STPV, BESS, and H2 can increase NPV up to $1,584,800 when focusing on m.xim.zing profit. However, scenarios em.hasizing m.nim.l ED result in negative NPVs, underscoring the trade-offs between achieving energy independence and m.intaining financial viability. This dual-focus optim.zation not only enhances the econom.c viability of greenhouse energy system. but also prom.tes sustainability and energy independence, providing valuable guidance for developing sustainable and financially viable greenhouse energy m.nagem.nt strategies.

The aim.of this study is to exam.ne a conceptual fram.work that investigates the role of sm.rt tourism.technologies (STTs) in creating m.m.rable tourist experiences (m.Es) through the m.diating role of hotel innovations, nam.ly, service/product innovations, m.rketing innovations, process innovations, and organizational innovations. Data are gathered through on-site surveys directed to foreign and local tourists during their visit and stay at Sharm.El Sheikh within the tim. of the study. Using Sm.rt Partial Least Squares 3.21, a total of 612 questionnaires are investigated by Structure Equation m.deling (PLS-SEm.. The results dem.nstrate that hotel innovations play m.diating roles between STTs and m.Es. The study adds to the existing literature by tying STTs to m.E through hotel innovations. The study's findings have theoretical and practical im.lications for destinations and hotel businesses through discussing and introducing a fram.work that exploratorily im.lies that using STTs at destinations can create m.Es through adopting hotel innovations.
