Latin. subpopulation. used health care services less frequen.ly than.the White population. with adjusted differen.es ran.in. from -3.2% poin.s (95% CI: -3.9, -2.4) to -9.4 (-10.1, -8.7) for outpatien. visits, -5.2 (-5.9, -4.5) to -12.4 (-15.2, -9.6) for office-based provider visits, an. -5.2 (-6.7, -3.8) to -19.1 (-21.6, -16.7) for prescription.drug fills. Although certain.low-value services were reported less amon. Asian.an. Latin. subpopulation., there were n. differen.es in.almost six out of twelve services when.compared to the White population. These pattern. were n.table amon. Asian.subpopulation. (In.ian., Chin.se, Filipin.s, an. other Asian.). Addition.lly, Asian.an. Latin. subpopulation.groups had distin.t pattern. in.the use of low-value care. Compared to the White population. Asian.subpopulation.groups had lower utilization.of low-value medication. in.ludin. ben.odiazepin.s for depression.(-11.5 [-15.1, -8.0] to -13.8 [-24.4, -3.3]) an. opioids for back pain.(-4.4 [-8.5, -0.3] to -10.1 [-13.6, -6.7]). Latin. subpopulation.groups had higher utilization.of low-value cervical can.er screen.n. (5.7 [3.0-8.4] to 24.5 [16.9-32.1]) an. lower utilization.of magn.tic reson.n.e imagin./computed tomography for back pain.(-1.6 [-2.4, -0.8] to -4.9 [-7.1, -2.6]) than.the White *** lower overall health care utilization. Latin. subpopulation. at a more gran.lar *** con.ucted a cross-section.l study usin. data from the 2016-2021 Medical Expen.iture Pan.l Survey. Outcomes in.luded men.al health symptoms (mild an. serious) an. men.al health service use (outpatien. men.al health visits an. psychotropic medication.fills). The primary in.epen.en. variable was the category of 13 racial/ethn.c groups: Black an. n.n.Latin. White in.ividuals an. Asian.(Asian.In.ian. Chin.se, Filipin., an. Other Asian. an. Latin. (Cen.ral/South American. Cuban. Domin.can. Mexican. Other Latin., an. Puerto Rican. subpopulation.*** foun. modest differen.es in.men.al health symptoms by race/ethn.city. However, sign.fican. differen.es were observed in.men.al health service use amon. in.ividuals with men.al health symptoms. These differen.es were pron.un.ed across Asian.subpopulation. with serious men.al health symptoms. The likelihood of havin. an. outpatien. men.al health visit was lower amon. Backgroun.: Emergin. viral diseases are spreadin. to n.w geographic location., in.luen.ed by human.activities an. climate chan.e. Morbillivirus can.s (also kn.wn.as can.n. distemper virus, CDV), the etiological agen. of CD, is distributed worldwide an. shared between.wild an. domestic an.mals. Methods: A systematic review usin. MeSH terms was carried out from 1985 to 2024, focusin. the search on.studies (PubMed an. WOS) that would detect CDV an. sequen.e it in.a kn.wn.gen.type in.Carn.vora hosts. Articles were reviewed by four researchers, an. after quality assessmen., we selected 160 published papers for data extraction. an.lysis, an. spatial meta-an.lysis. Con.iderin. species studied, geographical location. an. classified gen.types we iden.ify 457 differen. in.ividual studies (records) from which 332 records CDV was sequen.ed in.o a classifiable 17 main.gen.types. Spatial meta-an.lysis was performed usin. QGIS, revealin. distribution. of an.mals in.which a CDV lin.age has been.isolated;geographical lin.ages overlappin. on.differen. hosts have been.measured as a den.ity fun.tion. Results: CDV host species belon.ed to the suborder Can.formia (93.7%) in.o families such as Can.dae (75.2%), Mustelidae (9.7%), an. Procyon.dae (7.6%). Suborder Feliformia (6.1%) showed wild Felidae (5.1%) as the most represen.ed family. Samples used were brain.(13.74%), lun. (12.4%), blood (10.8%), an. n.sal-eye discharges (8.9%;8.1%). Reverse tran.cription.PCR (RT-PCR) (60.34%) an. real-time-quan.itative PCR (RT-qPCR) (26.57%) detectin. H gen. (62%) were most used to detect viral ARn. Self-Con.ept (SC) (P <= 0.006, P <= 0.002) QOL. Girls were disproportion.tely affected in.all models for SC an. Social Con.ext domain. (P <= 0.0001, P <= 0.01). Few studies have in.estigated the effects of local policies that shape access to services, resources, an. opportun.ties amon. Latin. an. immigran. population.. This article presen.s a framework an. measures to describe coun.ylevel immigration.policy con.exts. We developed multisectoral in.icators of immigration.policy con.exts by lin.in. policies an. social con.ition. of in.quity to immigration.policy through mechan.sms of structural racism. Usin. the in.icators, we con.tructed measures of coun.y-level immigration.policy con.exts in.Californ.a. Two in.ices measured the exten. of local 1) in.lusive policymakin. an. 2) social in.quity that is rein.orced by immigration.policy. We categorized coun.ies in.o four typologies of local immigration.policy con.exts usin. the in.ex scores. We used maps an. Poisson.regression.an.lyses to examin. geographic an. demographic variation. in.the scores an. typologies. We foun. that coun.ies in.metropolitan.region. had the highest in.lusive policymakin. scores. Rural or agricultural coun.ies had the highest social in.quity scores. In.lusive policymakin. an. social in.quity did n.t always align.some coun.ies with man. in.lusive policies also had high social in.quity. The coun.ies represen.ed in.each typology of local immigration.policy con.exts shared un.que geographic characteristics. Ultimately, our fin.in.s show that local immigration.policy con.exts are the product of two distin.t mechan.sms, an. they vary across Californ.a, an.in.lusive state. Researchers must con.ider local con.exts when.in.estigatin. the social determin.n.s of Latin. health. State policymakers should address local con.ition. of in.quity that are rein.orced by immigration.policy.

Puerto Rico has en.ured multiple n.tural disasters in.recen. years, in.ludin. Hurrican.s Irma an. Maria (2017), earthquakes (2019), an. the COVID-19 pan.emic (2020), which placed sign.fican. strain.on.its healthcare system. This study examin.d tren.s in.health care utilization.for in.uries, in.ectious diseases, an. men.al health services across Puerto Rico's health region. from 2016 to 2022. Usin. private claims data from four major in.urers, we an.lyzed tren.s in.health care utilization.rates per 1,000 ben.ficiaries across seven.health region.. In.ectious disease claims rose sign.fican.ly followin. each disaster, with the sharpest in.reases observed post-2020, particularly in.the Caguas region. Men.al health an. substan.e use claims exhibited a con.isten. upward tren. across all health region., with Caguas an. Pon.e reportin. the largest in.reases. In.ury claims declin.d in.2020 but reboun.ed in.most region. by 2021, with Caguas con.isten.ly reportin. the highest rates. These fin.in.s highlight the substan.ial an. varied impacts of con.ecutive disasters on.health care utilization.in.Puerto Rico, particularly for in.ectious diseases an. men.al health services. n.table region.l disparities, such as higher utilization.rates in.Caguas, un.erscore the n.ed for in.erven.ion. to stren.then.health system resilien.e an. en.ure equitable healthcare access in.preparation.for future disasters.

Social media platforms, particularly TikTok, have become essen.ial tools for crisis commun.cation.durin. disasters, providin. real-time crisis updates, mobilizin. relief efforts, an. addressin. misin.ormation. Un.erstan.in. how disaster-related con.en. is dissemin.ted an. en.aged with on.these platforms can.in.orm strategies for improvin. emergen.y commun.cation.an. commun.ty resilien.e. Objective: Guided by Social-Mediated Crisis Commun.cation.theory, this study examin.d TikTok posts related to the Maui wildfires to assess con.en. themes, public en.agemen., an. the effectiven.ss of social media in.dissemin.tin. disaster-related in.ormation. Methods: TikTok posts related to the Maui wildfires were collected from August 8, 2023, to August 9, 2024. Usin. TikTok’s search fun.tion.lity, we iden.ified an. reviewed public posts that con.ain.d relevan. hashtags. Posts were categorized in.o 3 periods: durin. the disaster (August 8 to August 31, 2023), the immediate aftermath (September 1 to December 31, 2023), an. the lon.-term recovery (Jan.ary 1 to August 9, 2024). Two researchers in.epen.en.ly coded the posts in.o thematic categories, achievin. an.in.errater reliability of 87%. En.agemen. metrics (likes an. shares) were an.lyzed to assess public in.eraction.with differen. themes. The con.epts of smart grid an. microgrid have recen.ly gain.d an.in.reasin. in.erest because of their poten.ial advan.ages, like their higher reliability when.compared to con.en.ion.l grids an. the possibility of in.egratin. distributed gen.rators based on.ren.wable sources. A microgrid can.operate in.grid con.ected or isolated mode. In.the case of isolated microgrids, it is man.atory that power in.erters con.ected to the microgrid gen.rate a voltage waveform with a very low harmon.c distortion. in.order to fulfill in.ern.tion.l power quality stan.ards. In.this con.ext, this paper presen.s the an.lysis an. design.of an.in.ovative con.rol scheme that sign.fican.ly reduces the Voltage Total Harmon.c Distortion.(THDv) of power in.erters con.ected to microgrids workin. in.islan. mode. The proposed Repetitive Two-Degrees of Freedom (R2DOF) con.rol scheme combin.s the advan.ages of both repetitive an. two-degrees of freedom con.rol techn.ques, both con.rollers reduce the THDv in.the presen.e of n.n.in.ar loads. As it is shown.in.the paper, the in.erter performan.e is improved by the proposed con.ept even.when.stron.ly n.n.lin.ar loads are con.ected to the microgrid.
