Proximal Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers for Solving 3-D Electromagnetic Inverse Scattering Problems

In this article, based on the contraction integral equation (CIE) model which effectively reduces the nonlinearity of the 3-D inverse scattering problems (ISPs) and hybrid regularization technique [Fourier bases-expansion (FBE) regularization and L-1/2 regularization] which effectively alleviates the illposedness, a new cost function is established. FBE regularization is directly applied to modeling, and L-1/2 regularization is applied to unknowns to achieve more sparse solutions and better inversion efficiency. Furthermore, a weight adjustment nested scheme (WA-NS) is used in the inversion modeling process. Though the new cost function is nonconvex, nonsmooth, and non-Lipschitz, an efficient proximal alternating direction method of multipliers (PADMM) is proposed to solve the corresponding optimization problem. The accuracy of the inversion algorithm is verified by experiments on synthetic and experimental data.

Blockchain technology offers promising solutions for enhancing transparency, traceability, and privacy in blood donation information management. By creating a decentralized system, it secures data authenticity and donor privacy through encryption. This study suggests rewarding donors with blockchain-based cryptocurrency to boost blood donation, aiming to elevate medical service quality and public trust in healthcare. However, blockchain's performance issues are addressed by implementing a HotStuff-based shard system, increasing throughput for practical use. This method not only secures and clarifies blood donation data but also overcomes technical limitations for real-world application.

Addressing the challenge of untraceable malicious activities due to excessive anonymity in ring signature, we propose a new SM2-based ring signature scheme with revocability and anonymity (SMRSRA). Our scheme innovates by integrating a third-party-generated signer identity tag, a pivotal element in generating both signature values and a revocation tag within the SMRSRA. A key feature of our scheme is its revocation mechanism, which permits the third party to utilize the revocation tag, activating the anonymity revocation algorithm to reveal the signer's identity. Furthermore, our scheme allows members to verify the third party's actions for any malicious intent using the revocable anonymity tag. Experimental findings demonstrate that the time efficiency for signature generation and revocation in this scheme scales linearly with the number of ring members, ensuring its efficiency in scenarios involving numerous participants.

Electrical impedance tomography (EIT) is an innovative imaging technique used to recreate the distribution of conductivity in a region by utilizing measured current and voltage readings. In this paper, we introduce a novel method to improve the resolution of EIT images, based on the Efficient Sub-Pixel Convolutional Neural Network (ESPCN). The research involves fine-tuning the parameter weights of the loss function and training the model with datasets of COVID-19 Lung CT Scans Images. The method entails extracting features directly from Low Resolution (LR) images and using convolution operations in sub-pixel convolution layers to accurately capture and reconstruct the morphology and structure of lung tissue. This optimization is designed to solve the two-dimensional forward problem in lung EIT. We propose an Improved Efficient Sub-Pixel Convolutional Neural Network (IESPCN) model to tackle image inverse problems with irregular boundaries. Training the model with unstructured datasets enhances robustness and improves resolution in imaging effects, resulting in high-quality reconstructed images. Experimental results demonstrate that the lung EIT super-resolution reconstruction imaging model based on IESPCN effectively delineates the boundaries of lung organs. This method enhances both the structural fidelity and imaging quality of the output images, while also ensuring stable imaging effects across varying lung boundaries. Furthermore, it improves image resolution and significantly reduces artifacts in the reconstructed images. © 2024 IEEE.

For the hyperspectral image (HSI) denoising problem, a symmetric proximal alternating direction method multiplier (spADMM) is proposed to solve the sparse optimization problem which cannot be solved accurately by traditional ADMM. The proposed method finds a high-quality recovery method using the traditional low-rank Tucker decomposition method, which can fully take into account the overall spatial and spectral correlation between HSI bands by using the Tucker decomposition. By choosing appropriate steps to update the Lagrange multipliers twice, it makes the selection and use of variables more flexible and better for solving sparsity problems. To maintain stability, we also add appropriate proximity terms to solve the problem during the computation. Experiments have shown that the spADMM has better results than the traditional ADMM. The final experimental results on the dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of the method. © 2023 Shuo Wang et al.

Hyperspectral images (HSIs) can help deliver more reliable representations of real scenes than traditional images and enhance the performance of many computer vision tasks. However, in real cases, an HSI is often degraded by a mixture of various types of noise, including Gaussian noise and impulse noise. In this paper, we propose a logarithmic nonconvex regularization model for HSI mixed noise removal. The logarithmic penalty function can approximate the tensor fibered rank more accurately and treats singular values differently. An alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) is also presented to solve the optimization problem, and each subproblem within ADMM is proven to have a closed-form solution. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

因卷积神经网络参数膨胀,导致模型训练时占用大量的计算资源和存储资源,从而限制其在边缘终端上的应用。依据深度可分离卷积模型MobileNet V1的设计思路,结合自门控函数和ReLU函数的特点,构建一种改进的激活函数和压缩神经网络模型MobileNet-rhs。将ReLU函数和swish函数分别作为分段线性函数,设计激活函数ReLU-h-swish,通过优化卷积单元结构,解决模型训练过程中难以激活部分神经元的问题,以减少特征信息丢失。构建一种剔除卷积核的压缩模型,从模型深处自下而上剔除2;个卷积核,减少逐点卷积的参数量。在CIFAR-10和CIFAR-100数据集上进行实验,结果表明,引入ReLU-h-swish函数构建MobileNet-rhs模型的Top-1分类准确率为80.38%。相比MobileNet-rhs模型,压缩后MobileNet-rhs模型的参数量减少17.9%,其Top-1分类准确率仅降低2.28个百分点。此外,利用Tensorflow将该模型部署在安卓平台上,实现图像分类相册的应用。

Modeling group-level public sentiment in social networks through topic and role enhancement

Public sentiment within social networks exerts a profound influence on societal dynamics, underscoring the increasing demand for accurate public opinion prediction. Most existing methods predominantly measure sentiment by quantifying user sentiments individually, overlooking group-level factors that crucially contribute to public sentiment. Thus, based on our finding that public sentiment is primarily shaped by user-group interactions and their interplay with evolving topics, we innovatively model the forming process of public sentiment at the group level. In this paper, we propose the Topic and Role Enhanced Group-level Public Sentiment Prediction model (TRESP), capturing the intricate interplay among sentiment, topic, and role. Specifically, an LSTM neural network is firstly leveraged to trace the temporal correlations between topics and sentiment shifts, yielding a topic-informed content sentiment representation. Subsequently, a specially crafted hierarchical attention network captures social and role attributes, representing the overarching social group environment. Finally, we predict future public sentiment by merging the derived group sentiment representation with the group social representation, demonstrating a holistic insight into the sentiment trajectory. Extensive experiments were conducted on two real-world datasets of over 30,000 tweets collected from more than 14,000 users to validate our model. Notably, our model significantly outperforms the state-ofthe-art approaches in public sentiment prediction, indicating the importance and effectiveness of encapsulating interactions both within and among user subgroups.
