Improving the Stability Behavior of Limiting Zeros for Multivariable Systems Based on Multirate Sampling

It is well-known that existence of unstable sampling zeros is recognized as a major barrier in many control problems, and stability of sampling zeros, in general, depends on the type of hold circuit used to generate the continuous-time system input. This paper is concerned with stability of limiting zeros, as the sampling period tends to zero, of multivariable sampled-data models composed of a generalized sample hold function (GSHF), a continuous-time plant with the relative degrees being two and three, and a sampler in cascade. In particular, the main focus of the paper is how to preserve the stability of limiting zeros when at least one of the relative degrees of a multivariable system is more than two. In this case, the asymptotic properties of the limiting zeros on the basis of normal form representation of continuous-time systems are analyzed and approximate expressions for their stability are discussed as power series expansions with respect to a sufficiently small sampling period. More importantly, unstable sampling zeros of the sampled-data models mentioned above can be avoided successfully through the contribution of this paper, whereas a zero-order hold (ZOH) or a fractional-order hold (FROH) fails to do so. It is a further extension of previous results for single-input single-output cases to multivariable systems.

Controlling complex systems to desired states is a very important issue in science and engineering. In the paper, we consider a new class of control systems based on non-cooperative adaptive games which can give some light on this kind of complex systems. It involves a hierarchal decision making structure: one leader and multiple followers. Given any strategy of the leader, the followers can form a non-cooperative adaptive game which may reach a Nash equilibrium. We can study the leader's observability of such an equilibrium which has not be investigated before. It seems to be a new direction of adaptive games from the perspective of control and beyond the frameworks of both the traditional control theory and game theory. More importantly, the resulting adaptive profile is shown to have some nice stability and convergence properties, for example, an asymptotic Nash equilibrium can be reached.

Some bacteria, such as Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Salmonella typhimurium (S. typhimurium), have an inherent ability to locate solid tumours, making them a versatile platform that can be combined with other tools to improve the tumour diagnosis and treatment. In anti-cancer therapy, bacteria function by carrying drugs directly or expressing exogenous therapeutic genes. The application of bacterial imaging in tumour diagnosis, a novel and promising research area, can indeed provide dynamic and real-time monitoring in both pre-treatment assessment and post-treatment detection. Different imaging techniques, including optical technology, acoustic imaging, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and nuclear medicine imaging, allow us to observe and track tumour-associated bacteria. Optical imaging, including bioluminescence and fluorescence, provides high-sensitivity and high-resolution imaging. Acoustic imaging is a real-time and non-invasive imaging technique with good penetration depth and spatial resolution. MRI provides high spatial resolution and radiation-free imaging. Nuclear medicine imaging, including positron emission tomography (PET) and single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) can provide information on the distribution and dynamics of bacterial population. Moreover, strategies of synthetic biology modification and nanomaterial engineering modification can improve the viability and localization ability of bacteria while maintaining their autonomy and vitality, thus aiding the visualization of gut bacteria. However, there are some challenges, such as the relatively low bacterial abundance and heterogeneously distribution within the tumour, the high dimensionality of spatial datasets and the limitations of imaging labeling tools. In summary, with the continuous development of imaging technology and nanotechnology, it is expected to further make in-depth study on tumour-associated bacteria and develop new bacterial imaging methods for tumour diagnosis. Degradation of bisphenol A by Fe-doped BiOBr enhanced UV/persulfate system: Significant role of superoxide radicals

Widely diffused pollution of endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) has indeed threatened the safety of ecological environment and human health. A hydrangea-like Fe doped BiOBr (Fe-BiOBr) microsphere was synthesized and used to enhance the performance of UV/persulfate (PS) system using bisphenol A (BPA) as the targeted contaminant. The photochemical characterization of Fe-BiOBr showed that Fe doping markedly improved the separation efficiency of photoelectron and hole, and enhanced the utility rate of luminous energy of BiOBr. Degradation test demonstrated that with the assistance of Fe-BiOBr, the efficiency of UV/PS system was increased by 1.8 times, while 85.7% of BPA can be degraded within 10 min. Through scavenging experiments, sulfate radical (SO4 center dot-), superoxide radical (O2 center dot-), and hole were demonstrated as the dominate reactive species (RSs) in UV/Fe-BiOBr/PS system. Then, the role and mutual transformation of RSs was further clarified by radicals steady-state concentrations estimation and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis. Based on the results, the produced O2 center dot-can be subdivided into confined O2 center dot-and free O2 center dot-from the UV induced oxygen vacancy and photoelectron, respectively. Of which, SO4 center dot-and confined O2 center dot-were symbiotic via the redox cycle of Fe species. Significantly, only 2.6% of TOC can be simultaneously removed within 10 min treatment time, suggesting the incomplete degradation of BPA. For this, 16 organics was detected using LC-MS and the degradation route of BPA was also determined based on the intermediates analysis. Finally, the application possibility of the system was evaluated from the perspective of ecotoxicity by ECOSAR and T.E.S.T. softwares. This study investigates the dual effect of transition metal doped semiconductor on coupling system, and provides new in-sights into the role of O2 center dot-.

Ethnopharmacological relevance: Danlong oral liquid (DLOL) is a traditional Chinese proprietary medicine commonly used to treat chronic respiratory diseases, including bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. However, the therapeutic effects and pharmacological mechanisms of DLOL in improving airway remodeling remain unclear. Aims of the study: This study utilizes in vivo and in vitro experiments, serum pharmacological analysis, and network-based pharmacology approaches to investigate the effects and mechanisms of DLOL on airway remodeling and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in asthma. Methods: An asthma model was established through ovalbumins (OVA) sensitization and challenge in BALB/c mice to observe the effects of DLOL on airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR), inflammation, remodeling, and molecular markers of EMT. The absorbed chemical prototype constituents of DLOL were analyzed using Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (UPLC-MS), and targets for asthma and airway remodeling were predicted using a network pharmacology approach. Key biological processes and signaling pathways were analyzed. Additionally, TGF-(31 was used to induce EMT in BEAS-2B cells. TGF-(31 and DLOLcontaining serum were screened to determine the optimal time and concentration in BEAS-2B cells using CCK8 assays. The cell scratch assay was used to assess cell migration, while immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry were employed to evaluate protein expression levels. Results: DLOL improved AHR in asthmatic mice, reduced inflammatory cell infiltration in lung tissue, decreased airway wall and smooth muscle thickness, and reduced collagen deposition. It also down-regulated mesenchymal markers (N-cadherin, vimentin, a-SMA) and key remodeling factors (TGF-(31, MMP9), while up-regulating the epithelial marker E-cadherin. Comparative organelle genomics in Daphniphyllaceae reveal phylogenetic position and organelle structure evolution

The family Daphniphyllaceae has a single genus, and no relevant comparative phylogenetic study has been reported on it. To explore the phylogenetic relationships and organelle evolution mechanisms of Daphniphyllaceae species, we sequenced and assembled the chloroplast and mitochondrial genomes of Daphniphyllum macropodum. We also conducted comparative analyses of organelles in Daphniphyllaceae species in terms of genome structure, phylogenetic relationships, divergence times, RNA editing events, and evolutionary rates, etc. Results indicated differences in the evolutionary patterns of the plastome and mitogenome in D. macropodum. The plastome had a more conserved structure but a faster nucleotide substitution rate, and the mitogenome showed a more complex structure while the mitotic genome shows a more complex structure but a slower nucleotide substitution rate. We identified several unidirectional protein-coding gene transfer events from the plastome to the mitogenome based on homology analysis, but no transfer events occurred from the mitogenome to the plastome. Multiple TE fragments existed in organelle genomes, and two organelles showed different preferences for nuclear TE insertion types. The estimation of divergence time indicated that the differentiation of Daphniphyllaceae and Altingiaceae at around 29.86 Mya might be due to the dramatic uplift of Tibetan Plateau during the Oligocene. About 75% of codon changes in organelles were found to be hydrophilic to hydrophobic amino acids. The RNA editing in protein-coding transcripts is the result of amino acid changes to increase their hydrophobicity and conservation in alleles, which may contribute to the formation of functional 3D structures in proteins. This study would enrich genomic resources and provide valuable insights into the structural dynamics and molecular biology of Daphniphyllaceae species.

针对以数据为中心的开放信息系统,亟需能够保护隐私的细粒度自适应访问控制,并平衡隐私保护与数据访问效用间平衡的问题,提出了一种面向隐私保护的多参与者理性风险自适应访问控制模型。该模型基于香农自信息提出了动态访问数据集的隐私量化方法,构造了访问请求隐私风险函数和用户隐私风险函数;进一步基于演化博弈在有限理性假设下构建多参与者的访问控制演化博弈模型,利用复制动态方程分析了访问控制参与者的动态策略选择,提出了该博弈模型的演化稳定策略选取方法。仿真和对比表明,所提出的模型能够有效动态自适应地保护隐私,具有更好的隐私风险适应性,有限理性参与者的动态演化访问策略选取更加符合实际场景。

Influence of K plus on the crystal structure, defect, and scintillation performances of LYSO:Ce crystals

Lu 1.8 Y 0.2 SiO 5 :Ce (LYSO:Ce) crystals have become the material of choice for the current application of commercial TOF-PETs due to their high light output, short decay time, and fast rise time. In this study, a series of K + co-doped LYSO:Ce crystals were prepared by the mu-PD method, in which the K + concentrations were 0, 0.2 atom %, 0.6 atom %, and 1.0 atom %, respectively. It was found that the scintillation performances were simultaneously optimized when the K + concentration was 0.6 atom %. Compared to the sample of LYSO:Ce, LYSO:Ce, 0.6 atom % K showed an approximately 12.6 % increase in light yield, a shortening of the fastest scintillation decay time to 38.3 ns, and a 1.4-fold decrease in afterglow level. Moreover, the K + could replace the Lu 3 + site but could not cause the transition of Ce 3 + to Ce 4 + . Meanwhile, the connection between optical and luminescence performances and K + concentration was discussed. The luminescence contribution of Ce2 became stronger with the K + concentration increased. Furthermore, the research on K + co-doping of LYSO:Ce crystals could offer better knowledge and be informative for the selection of future co-dopants.

More and more security and privacy issues are arising as new technologies, such as big data and cloud computing, are widely applied in nowadays. For decreasing the privacy breaches in access control system under opening and cross-domain environment. In this paper, we suggest a game and risk based access model for privacy preserving by employing Shannon information and game theory. After defining the notions of Privacy Risk and Privacy Violation Access, a high-level framework of game theoretical risk based access control is proposed. Further, we present formulas for estimating the risk value of access request and user, construct and analyze the game model of the proposed access control by using a multi-stage two player game. There exists sub-game perfect Nash equilibrium each stage in the risk based access control and it's suitable to protect the privacy by limiting the privacy violation access requests.

Investigation of the Mechanism of Heterovalent Codoping on the Scintillation Properties of GAGG:Ce Crystals

Gd-3(Al,Ga)(5)O-12:Ce (GAGG:Ce) crystal is considered as one of the most efficient scintillators for nuclear medicine imaging devices and gamma detection applications due to its high light yield (58,000 ph./MeV), excellent energy resolution (4.9%@662 keV), and high density (6.63 g/cm(3)). With the introduction of time-of-flight techniques, scintillators are required to have a faster scintillation decay time and higher light yield. An efficient strategy for accelerating the scintillation decay process of GAGG:Ce is mainly through the codoping of low valence ions such as Ca2+. However, the mechanism of codoping has not yet been elucidated, and there is no reasonable explanation for the phenomenon of insignificant improvement in scintillation performance after codoping with some low-valence ions (e.g., Na+). To further investigate the effect of valence on the scintillation properties, three ions with different valence states (Mg2+, Yb3+, and Hf4+) are selected. The scintillation properties deteriorate after Hf4+ codoping, whereas the scintillation decay process is significantly accelerated after Mg2+ and Yb3+ codoping. In addition, the Mg2+ codoped crystal exhibits a low afterglow level. These excellent performances make it very promising for detector applications. Furthermore, the theoretical study of the luminescence mechanism provides a significant reference for the design of high-performance codoped GAGG:Ce crystals.
