Effect of the amount of Channel Black on underwater property of PU material is researched by adding Channel Black into PU material. The results show that the amount of Channel Black has most effect on underwater property of PU material. In one atmospheric pressure, the underwater property of PU material is worst when the amount of Channel Black is 60, while the underwater properties are not evident when the amount of channel is 30 and 45. In lower underwater pressure, effect of the amount of Channel Black on underwater property of PU material is almost difference. In higher underwater pressure, the underwater property of PU material is best when the amount of Channel Black is 45, while 30 is second, and 60 is lowest.

Varicella vaccine effectiveness evaluation in Wuxi, China: A retrospective cohort study

Varicella is a vaccine-preventable infectious disease. Since 1 December 2018, the varicella vaccine has been included in the local Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) in Wuxi, China, and children born after 1 December 2014 are eligible for free vaccination. To evaluate the effect of varicella vaccination in Wuxi city, we selected 382 397 children born from 2012 to 2016 as subjects. Their disease data were obtained from the Chinese Disease Prevention and Control Information System, and their vaccination data were obtained from the Jiangsu Province Vaccination Integrated Service Management Information System. The incidence of breakthrough varicella cases increased in the first 4 years and reached the peak in the fifth year. With the increase of vaccination rate, the incidence of varicella decreased significantly. The vaccine effectiveness (VE) was found to be 88.17%-95.78% for one dose and 98.65%-99.93% for two doses. Although the VE per dose decreased from 99.57% in the first year to 93.04% in the eighth year, it remained high. These findings confirmed the effectiveness of varicella vaccination in children, supported the use of a two-dose varicella vaccination strategy to achieve better protection, and provided important insights into the optimal vaccination strategy for varicella prevention in children.

As a member of the bromodomain and extra terminal domain (BET) protein family, bromodomain-containing protein 4 (BRD4) is an epigenetic reader and can recognize acetylated lysine residues in histones. BRD4 has been regarded as an essential drug target for cancers, inflammatory diseases and acute heart failure, and therefore the discovery of potent BRD4 inhibitors with novel scaffolds is highly desirable. In this study, the crystalline water molecules in BRD4 involved in ligand binding were analyzed first, and the simulation results suggest that several conserved crystalline water molecules are quite essential to keep the stability of the crystalline water network and therefore they need to be reserved in structure-based drug design. Then, a docking-based virtual screening workflow with the consideration of the conserved crystalline water network in the binding pocket was utilized to identify the potential inhibitors of BRD4. The in vitro fluorescence resonance energy transfer (HTRF) binding assay illustrates that 4 hits have good inhibitory activity against BRD4 in the micromolar regime, including three compounds with IC50 values below 5 mu M and one below 1 mu M (0.37 mu M). The structural analysis demonstrates that three active compounds possess novel scaffolds. Moreover, the interaction patterns between the hits and BRD4 were characterized by molecular dynamics simulations and binding free energy calculations, and then several suggestions for the further optimization of these hits were proposed.

Recently, the graph convolutional networks based methods have achieved remarkable performance in skeleton-based action recognition. However, current methods do not make full use of the topology of the skeleton graph, because they set and fixed the relation of skeleton joints or adjacency matrix for all input samples manually. In order to solve the problem, we design an end-to-end architecture consisting of joints relation inference network (JRIN) and skeleton graph convolutional network (SGCN). JRIN can aggregate spatial-temporal feature of every two joints globally, then infer the optimal relation between every two joints automatically. These relations of joints is quantified as the optimal adjacency matrices. Then SGCN will take the optimal matrices to do the final action recognition. During training, special initialization and alternate training strategies are proposed to optimize the model. Our method achieves very competitive performance on widely used NTU-RGB+D and Kinetics datasets.

HPV vaccination strategy for 14-year-old females and economic returns for cervical cancer prevention in Wuxi City, China: a cost effectiveness analysis

Background Since December 2021, Wuxi, China has offered a two-dose human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination to 14-year-old females for free. This study evaluated the costs and benefits of this vaccination scheduled in the Expanded Program on Immunization in Wuxi from the perspective of the cities' demographic characteristics, economic development, and policy support. Methods The model-based economic evaluation used TreeAge Pro software to construct a decision tree-Markov model for the vaccination strategy in which 100,000 14-year-old females received two doses of bivalent HPV vaccine or no vaccination. Costs and effects of the strategy were assessed from a societal perspective through literature research and data obtained from the Wuxi Centre for Disease Control and Prevention. Univariate, multivariate, and probabilistic sensitivity analyses assessed the stability of the findings. Results The cost of the bivalent HPV vaccine in Wuxi is 711.3 CNY. The two-dose of bivalent HPV vaccine for 100,000 14-year-old females would cost an additional 658,016 CNY compared to no vaccination, but would result in 1,960 Quality Adjustment Years of Life (QALYs). Using the per capita gross domestic product of 187,415 CNY in 2021 in Wuxi as the willingness-to-pay threshold, the vaccination strategy costs 3,357.37 CNY per QALY gained, which is much lower than the threshold, suggesting that it is a very cost-effective strategy. In addition, the vaccine strategy reduced the incidence of cervical cancer by 300 cases and cervical cancer deaths by 181 cases, representing a benefit-cost ratio of 2.86 (> 1) when health output outcomes were measured in monetary terms. These results suggested that the vaccination strategy was advantageous. Sensitivity analyses showed that changes in the parameters did not affect the conclusions and that the findings were robust. Our study aims to assess the public's perceptions of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and attitudes toward the RSV vaccine and to identify associated factors in China. A nationwide cross-sectional survey conducted using an online platform between August 16 and September 14, 2023. Questions related to socio-demographics, awareness, knowledge, perceptions of susceptibility and severity of RSV, and attitudes toward the RSV vaccine were included in the questionnaire. We used the chi-square test and logistic regression model to explore the associated factors. Overall, 2133 individuals were included in this study. Nearly a quarter of participants (24.3%) indicated that they had never heard of RSV. The proportion of individuals aged over 50 years reporting never having heard of RSV (36.5%) and having a low knowledge level of RSV (55.3%) was significantly higher that of other younger age groups. More than half of individuals (55.7%) exhibited low level of perceptions of susceptibility concerning RSV infection. A total of 68.4% of the participants expressed willingness to receive the RSV vaccine. Younger age was positively associated with a higher willingness to be vaccinated. The most frequent reason for declining the vaccine was "Concern about vaccine's safety or side effects." About 60% of individuals considered a price of RSV vaccine below 200 CNY (28 USD) as acceptable. The awareness and perceived susceptibility to RSV infection were limited to the Chinese public. It is necessary to take measures to address the low awareness and knowledge of RSV and acceptability of the RSV vaccine among older adults.

Studies of Community-based question and answer services (cQA) have grown to be one of the emerging trends in Web information services. And one of the main tasks is to retrieve similar questions. To identify the fact that some questions with different expressions though may indeed have the same, or very similar, meaning, the similar questions are defined in syntactic, semantic and pragmatic aspects according to user retrieval intention. Five models including Language Model, Translation-based Language Model, Parser-based model, LDA and WordNet source-based model are selected as baselines. Integrated models which linearly combine WordNet, Stanford Parser and Language Model and further weighted by syntactic feature are proposed to integrate features of the three aspects. Experiment results show that our integrated models perform better than the basic models, especially when the linear combination of the WordNet model and the Stanford Parser model is weighted by syntactic information with proper noun phrases as representative. The integrated models are further verified by logistic analysis.

In this paper, a unified computational framework towards medical image explanation is proposed to promote the ability of computers on understanding and interpreting medical images. Four complementary modules are included, such as the construction of Medical Image-Text Joint Embedding (MITE) based on large-scale medical images and related texts;a Medical Image Semantic Association (MISA) mechanism based on the MITE multimodal knowledge representation;a Hierarchical Medical Image Caption (HMIC) module that is visually understandable to radiologists;and a language-independent medical imaging report generation prototype system by integrating the HMIC and transfer learning method. As an initial study of automatic medical image explanation, preliminary experiments were carried out to verify the feasibility of the proposed framework, including the extraction of large scale medical image-text pairs, semantic concept detection from medical images, and automatic medical imaging reports generation. However, there is still a great challenge to produce medical image interpretations clinically usable, and further research is needed to empower machines explaining medical images like a human being.

Nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI) generally occurs in youth and probably progresses to suicide. An examination of cortical thickness differences (Delta CT) between NSSI individuals and controls is crucial to investigate potential neurobiological correlates. Notably, Delta CT are influenced by specific genetic factors, and a large proportion of cortical thinning is associated with the expression of genes that overlap in astrocytes and pyramidal cells. However, in NSSI youth, the mechanisms underlying the relations between the genetic and cell type-specific transcriptional signatures to Delta CT are unclear. Here, we studied the genetic association of Delta CT in NSSI youth by performing a partial least-squares regression (PLSR) analysis of gene expression data and 3D-T1 brain images of 45 NSSI youth and 75 controls. We extracted the top-10 Gene Ontology terms for the enrichment results of upregulated PLS component 1 genes related to Delta CT to conduct the cell-type classification and enrichment analysis. Enrichment of cell type-specific genes shows that cellular component morphogenesis of astrocytes and excitatory neurons accounts for the observed NSSI-specific Delta CT. We validated the main results in independent datasets to verify the robustness and specificity. We concluded that the brain Delta CT is associated with cellular component morphogenesis of astrocytes and excitatory neurons in NSSI youth.

Medical Image Labelling and Semantic Understanding for Clinical Applications 1

Semantic concept detection contributes to machine understanding and learning from medical images;it also plays an important role in image reading and image-assisted diagnosis. In this study, the problem of detecting high-frequency concepts from medical images was transformed into a multilabel classification task. The transfer learning method based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs) was used to recognize high-frequency medical concepts. The image retrieval-based topic modelling method was used to obtain the semantically related concepts from images similar to the given medical images. Our group participated in the concept detection subtasks that were launched by ImageCLEFcaption 2018 and ImageCLEFmed Caption 2019. In the 2018 task, the CNN-based transfer learning method achieved an F1 score of 0.0928, while the retrieval-based topic model achieved an F1 score of 0.0907. Although the latter method recalled some low-frequency concepts, it heavily depended on the image retrieval results. For the latter 2019 task, we proposed body part-based pre-classification strategies and achieved an F1 score of 0.2235. The results indicated that the transfer learning-based multi-label classification method was more robust in high-frequency concept detection across different data sets, but there is still much room for improvement in large-scale open semantic concept detection research.
