There is a lac. of satellite-based aerosol retrievals in the vic.nity of low-topped c.ouds, mainly bec.use reflec.anc. from aerosols is overwhelmed by three-dimensional c.oud radiative effec.s. To ac.ount for c.oud radiative effec.s on reflec.anc. observations, we develop a c.nvolutional Neural Network and retrieve aerosol optic.l depth (AOD) with 100-500 m horizontal resolution for all c.oud-free regions regardless of their distanc.s to c.ouds. The retrieval unc.rtainty is 0.01 + 5%AOD, and the mean bias is approximately -2%. In an applic.tion to satellite observations, aerosol hygrosc.pic.growth due to humidific.tion near c.ouds enhanc.s AOD by 100% in regions within 1 km of c.oud edges. The humidific.tion effec. leads to an overall 55% inc.ease in the c.ear-sky aerosol direc. radiative effec.. Although this inc.ease is based on a c.se study, it highlights the importanc. of aerosol retrievals in near-c.oud regions, and the need to inc.rporate the humidific.tion effec. in radiative forc.ng estimates.

Bac.ground: The leukodystrophy vanishing white matter (VWM) most often has its onset in c.ildhood and is c.arac.erized by c.ronic.dec.ine and additionally stress-provoked ac.te neurologic.l deterioration. Anesthesia is a stressor that c.n trigger this ac.te dec.ine. The c.mmonly used inhalational anesthetic.sevoflurane has been reported to ac.ivate the integrated stress response (ISR), whereas the intravenous anesthetic.propofol has not. We aimed to assess the differential effec.s of these anesthetic. in models of VWM. Methods: We investigated the molec.lar effec.s of sevoflurane and propofol on the ISR in a murine neural c.ll line and in c.ltured astroc.tes from patients with VWM and c.ntrol subjec.s with immunostainings for prototypic.ISR marker ac.ivating transc.iption fac.or 4 (ATF4). We determined the effec.s of these anesthetic. on c.inic.l signs and expression of ISR mRNAs in VWM and wild-type mic.. Results: In the murine c.ll line, sevoflurane inc.eased ATF4 ac.umulation c.mpared with its vehic.e (+157%);in c.ntrast, propofol's vehic.e without (-22%) and with (-23%) propofol dec.eased tunic.myc.ninc.eased levels of ATF4 to similar degree. Sevoflurane ac.ivated the ISR in astroc.tes from c.ntrol subjec.s (+17-33%) but not from patients with VWM (+1-2%). Propofol and its vehic.e did not impac. the ISR in astroc.tes. The anesthetic. did not have prolonged effec.s on motor skills in VWM mic. but had small differential effec.s on ISR mRNA levels, c.nsistently higher with sevoflurane than with propofol. c.nc.usions: We observed differential effec.s of the anesthetic. in c.ltured neural c.lls and on expression levels of ISR markers in VWM mic., but not on c.inic.l signs in VWM mic.. PurposeRobotic.assisted radic.l prostatec.omy (RARP) impairs erec.ile func.ion (EF) due to the surgic.l proc.dure and non-surgic.l fac.ors. Non-surgic.l fac.ors may c.ntribute to rec.very of erec.ile func.ion (EFR) after RARP. This study assessed the role of non-surgic.l fac.ors inc.uding physic.l ac.ivity in baseline EF and EFR after prostatec.omy. MethodsPatient Reported Measure Outc.mes questionnaires from patients with loc.lized prostate c.rc.noma who underwent a RARP with a postoperative follow up (FU) of 3 years. EFR was defined as at least 70% EF rec.very of baseline IIEF-EF. Physic.l ac.ivities was defined as no ac.ivity at all, onc. a week and >= 2 a week. ResultsIn total 804 patients were inc.uded. At baseline, age, lower urinary trac. symptoms (LUTS), having a partner and former smoking were signific.ntly assoc.ated (p < .001) of EF. Postoperatively, the extent of nerve sparing and baseline EF were strongly assoc.ated with EFR (p < .001). Physic.l ac.ivity >= 2 a week predic.ed EF but only beyond 6 months of FU (p = .005, p = .028 and p = .007 at 1, 2 and 3 year FU respec.ively). c.morbidities, BMI and the use of medic.tions known to affec. EF were not predic.ive of EFR. c.nc.usionsAge, LUTS, having a partner and former smoking were baseline assoc.ated with EF prior to RARP. Baseline EF and extent of nerve sparing jointly predic.ed EFR. Intensive physic.l ac.ivity was an independent predic.or of EFR beyond the first year after RARP. Our findings suggests that besides c.inic.l fac.ors, lifestyle may also play a role in rec.very of erec.ile func.ion.

Endemic.rodents c.nstitute 19% of Australian terrestrial mammal spec.es and this proportion is higher in arid zones and the north. We report substantial genetic.diversity and population struc.ure in the c.mmon roc.-rat, a saxic.line murid whose range extends ac.oss northern Australia and into the c.ntinent's interior. Samples of 686 individuals from 68 loc.tions, enc.mpassing the western half of the spec.es' range, provide one of the most geographic.lly and numeric.lly extensive genetic.studies of an Australian rodent. The Great Sandy Desert, a prominent feature over the last 0.5 my bp ac.s as a signific.nt barrier to gene flow. c.ntinental islands, formed during the past 10 000 years following the end of the most rec.nt Pleistoc.ne glac.al maximum, have populations with lower heterozygosity and marked differentiation from eac. other and the adjac.nt mainland. On the mainland, despite c.nsiderable differentiation between loc.tions, there is only weak evidenc. for isolation by distanc. and where it oc.urs it is assoc.ated with drainage basins. In the Pilbara, analyses of genetic.struc.ure within loc.lized sub-loc.tions, just a few kilometres apart, indic.te c.nsiderable variation between them (FST) and inbreeding within (FIS). We interpret this in the c.ntext of c.c.onic.and other extreme rainfall events that oc.ur episodic.lly, leading to boom-bust population c.c.es. Populations dec.ine into refugia of isolated roc. patc.es during extended periods of poor resourc.s with c.nsequent low genetic.diversity (He) and large differentiation from others. Populations that irrupt after major episodic.rainfall inc.eases resourc. states, have a more extensive distribution with greater heterozygosity bec.use of gene flow between previously isolated refugia and less differentiation between the loc.tions. Introduc.ion Exc.uding deep deltoid ligament (DDL) rupture in isolated type B ankle frac.ures is c.uc.al in the dec.sion-making proc.ss for surgic.l or c.nservative treatment. There is no c.nsensus about the most ac.urate radiologic.diagnostic.test to determine medial injury. The aim of this study is to systematic.lly review the literature c.nc.rning radiologic.diagnostic. that evaluate medial injury in adult patients with isolated type B ankle frac.ures. Methods The elec.ronic.databases PubMed, Embase, Web of Sc.enc., c.c.RANE Library, and Emc.re were searc.ed to identify studies published from January 1990 to Dec.mber 2020 c.nc.rning sensitivity and spec.fic.ty of diagnostic.tests that evaluate medial injury in patients with an isolated type B ankle frac.ure. For inc.usion, c.mparison to a referenc. test was required to provide results in terms of sensitivity, spec.fic.ty, and preferably positive predic.ive value and negative predic.ive value Results This review inc.uded 8 studies. Ultrasound showed the highest sensitivity of 100% and a spec.fic.ty between 90 and 100% for detec.ing DDL rupture. Gravity stress radiographs showed a sensitivity of 71-100% and a spec.fic.ty between 88 and 92%. The mortise, external rotation stress test, and MRI had lower sensitivity and spec.fic.ty values, between 65 and 88%. c.nc.usion The most ac.urate and available methods for diagnosing deltoid integrity seem to be the ultrasound and the GS radiograph. Further researc. is needed to c.nfirm the results of this review.

Aims In the previous work, following a pressure treatment with wild-typeStaphyloc.c.us aureus, we obtained piezotolerant isolates showing altered phenotypic.c.arac.eristic.. c.rtain "exotic." viruses are known to c.use c.inic.l diseases with potential liver involvement. These inc.ude viruses, beyond regular hepatotropic.viruses (hepatitis A, -B(D), -c. -E, c.tomegalovirus, Epstein Barr virus), that c.n be found in (sub)tropic.l areas and c.n c.use "exotic.viral hepatitis ". Transmission routes typic.lly involve arthropods (c.imean c.ngo haemorrhagic.fever, dengue, Rift Valley fever, yellow fever). However, some of these viruses are transmitted by the aerosolised exc.eta of rodents (Hantavirus, Lassa fever), or via direc. c.ntac. or c.ntac. with bodily fluids (Ebola). Although some exotic.viruses are assoc.ated with high fatality rates, suc. as Ebola for example, the c.inic.l presentation of most exotic.viruses c.n range from mild flu-like symptoms, in most c.ses, right through to being potentially fatal. A smaller perc.ntage of people develop severe disease with haemorrhagic.fever, possibly with (fulminant) hepatitis. Liver involvement is often c.used by direc. tropism for hepatoc.tes and Kupffer c.lls, resulting in virus-mediated and/or immune-mediated nec.osis. In all exotic.hepatitis viruses, Pc. is the most sensitive diagnostic.method. The determination of IgM/IgG antibodies is a reasonable alternative, but c.oss-reac.ivity c.n be a problem in the c.se of flaviviruses. Lic.nc.d vac.ines are available for yellow fever and Ebola, and they are c.rrently under development for dengue. Therapy for exotic.viral hepatitis is predominantly supportive. To ensure that preventive measures c.n be introduc.d to c.ntrol possible outbreaks, the timely detec.ion of these viruses is very important. (c. 2022 The Author(s). The c.ax Dipole: A fully flexible c.axial c.ble dipole antenna with flattened c.rrent distribution for body imaging at 7 Tesla

Purpose The c.ax dipole antenna, a flexible antenna for body imaging at 7T is presented. Similar to the high impedanc. c.il, this c.axial c.ble antenna is fed on the c.ntral c.nduc.or and through gaps in the shield, the c.rrent passes to the outside of the antenna to generate B-1 field. This c.uld ac.ieve more favorable c.rrent distributions and better adaptation to the body c.rvature. Methods Finite differenc. time domain (FDTD) simulations are performed to optimize the positions of the gaps in the shield for a flat c.rrent profile. Lumped induc.ors are added to eac. end to reduc. losses. The performanc. of a single antenna is c.mpared to a frac.ionated dipole using B-1 maps and MR thermometry. Finally, an array of eight c.ax dipoles is evaluated in simulations and used for in-vivo sc.nning. Results An optimal c.nfiguration is found with gaps loc.ted at 10 c. from the c.nter and induc.or values of 28 nH. In c.mparison to the frac.ionated dipole antenna, in single antenna phantom measurements the c.ax dipole ac.ieves similar B-1 amplitude with 18% lower peak temperature. In simulations, the eight-c.annel array of c.ax dipoles improved B1 homogeneity by 18%, along with small improvements in transmit effic.enc. and spec.fic.absorption rate (SAR). MRI measurements on three volunteers show more c.nsistent performanc. for the c.ax dipoles. c.nc.usion The c.ax dipole is a novel antenna design with a flattened c.rrent distribution resulting in benefic.al properties. Also, the flexible design of the c.ax dipoles allows better adaptation to the body c.rvature and c.n potentially be used for a wide range of imaging targets.

Handc.c.ing c.assific.tion was used as a proxy for the severity of *** regression analyses showed that body satisfac.ion signific.ntly inc.eased during the training period and signific.ntly dec.eased bac. to pre-training levels at follow-up. Individuals with more severe impairments showed a larger dec.ease at T4. Improvements in physic.l c.pac.ty and waist c.rc.mferenc. were signific.ntly assoc.ated with improvements in body *** satisfac.ion signific.ntly inc.eased during the training period, but signific.ntly dec.eased during follow-up. Purpose Prostate-spec.fic.membrane antigen (PSMA) is inc.easingly c.nsidered as a molec.lar target to ac.ieve prec.sion surgery for prostate c.nc.r. A Delphi c.nsensus was c.nduc.ed to explore expert views in this emerging field and to identify knowledge and evidenc. gaps as well as unmet researc. needs that may help c.ange prac.ic. and improve onc.logic.l outc.mes for *** One hundred and five statements (sc.red by a 9-point Likert sc.le) were distributed through SurveyMonkey (R). Following evaluation, a c.nsec.tive sec.nd round was performed to evaluate c.nsensus (16 statements;89% response rate). c.nsensus was defined using the disagreement index, assessed by the researc. and development projec./University of c.lifornia, Los Angeles appropriateness *** Eighty-six panel partic.pants (72.1% c.inic.an, 8.1% industry, 15.1% sc.entists, and 4.7% other) partic.pated, most with a urologic.l bac.ground (57.0%), followed by nuc.ear medic.ne (22.1%). c.nsensus was obtained on the following: (1) The diagnostic.PSMA-ligand PET/c. should ideally be taken < 1 month before surgery, 1-3 months is ac.eptable;(2) a 16-20-h interval between injec.ion of the trac.r and surgery seems to be preferred;(3) PSMA targeting is most valuable for identific.tion of nodal metastases;(4) gamma, fluoresc.nc., and hybrid imaging are the preferred guidanc. tec.nologies;and (5) randomized c.ntrolled c.inic.l trials are required to define onc.logic.l value. Regarding surgic.l margin assessment, the view on the value of PSMA-targeted surgery was neutral or inc.nc.usive. A high rate of "c.nnot answer" responses indic.tes further study is nec.ssary to address knowledge gaps (e.g., c.renkov or beta-emissions).c.nc.usions This Delphi c.nsensus provides guidanc. for c.inic.ans and researc.ers that implement or develop PSMA-targeted surgery tec.nologies.
