We carried out sequencing of samples cultivated in floating beds with different Chinese medicinal herbs (Control, Houttuynia cordata Thunb., Polygonum cuspidatum, and a combination of H. cordata with Ipomoea aquatica Forssk.;named groups A, B, C, D, respectively) to analyze changes in the composition of gut microbiota of tilapia feces. Fusobacteria (ranging from 49.0% to 73.3%), Firmicutes (12.3%-37.8%), and Proteobacteria (5.1%-23.0%) were found to be the most dominant phyla present in all samples. The operational taxonomic units and the Ace and Chao1 indices of groups A and D were significantly higher than those of group C. Polygonum cuspidatum decreased the species richness and diversity of microbial communities in tilapia intestinal feces. The phylum WCHB1-60, order Enterobacteriales, and genus Plesiomonas significantly decreased (in group A);the species Plesiomonas shigelloides significantly decreased (in groups B and C);and the genus Leucobacter significantly increased (in group D) when compared with the control. The relative abundance of the class Verrucomicrobiae (groups B vs C) significantly decreased. In the presence of I. aquatica, the phylum Bacteroidetes significantly decreased, while the genera Leucobacter and Pelotomaculum significantly increased. The ratio of Bacteroidetes to Firmicutes was significantly higher in groups B and C relative to the controls, while it decreased significantly in group D. The algae (i. e., Anabaena and Microcystis) and beneficial pathogenic bacteria decreased in groups C and D, respectively. In addition, Enterovibrio decreased in all treatment groups. The present data demonstrate that floating bed cultivation with Chinese medicinal herbs significantly alters the gut microbiota of tilapia, which may enhance its immune activity.

Mean Shift is widely concerned because of its advantages like fast convergence, real-time performance and simple procedure. However, the tracking performance of the traditional Mean Shift algorithm is obviously interfered when the background has the similar color as the target or the illumination changes. Besides, the tracking is easy to defeat in the case of target occlusion and loss of important frames. Therefore, this paper proposes two improvements based on the traditional Mean Shift tracking algorithm. First, the HLBP texture feature and color feature are employed to describe the target feature in order to improve the robustness of the tracking algorithm. Second, multiple models are taken into account to provide more abundant choices for the tracking process which can improve the tacking performance. The result of experiments show that our algorithm is more robust under the case of object occlusion and posture change, and gets better performance in accuracy when the background color and target color are similar or the illumination changes.

Research on the origin and source of hydrate-bound gas and its relationship to deep conventional oil and gas accumulation in a basin is critical to understanding the accumulation mechanism of gas hydrates and to resource evaluation of gas hydrate accumulation. In this study, the hydrate-bound gas obtained via pressure coring and the production gas recovered during a production test on a gas hydrate reservoir in the Shenhu area offshore of Southern China were tested and discussed. The geochemical analysis results indicate that methane is the predominant gas, and heavier hydrocarbons (C2+) are also present but in low concentrations. The molecular compositions of the hydrate gas recovered from two production test sites are similar to those of the hydrate-bound gas acquired via pressure coring. In addition to the isotopic composition of the methane, the carbon and hydrogen isotopes of the C2+ hydrocarbons were obtained for the first time. The delta C-13 isotopes of the methane range from -66.6 parts per thousand to -46.2 parts per thousand, indicating that the hydrate-bound gases have a mixed origin, containing both biogenic and thermogenic gases. The plot of delta C-13(1) versus delta C-13(2) suggests that the biogenic and thermogenic hydrocarbons were derived from marine organic matter and terrestrial organic matter, respectively. The isotopic characterization of the hydrate-bound gas reveals that the thermogenic hydrate gas contains both humic-type gas and sapropel-type gas, but the sapropel-type gas is predominant. The source rocks of the thermogenic hydrate gas are interpreted to be both the gas-prone coal measure strata of the Enping Formation and the oil-prone medium-deep lacustrine strata of the Wenchang Formation, the latter of which contributed more to the hydrocarbon supply of the gas hydrates. Humic acids (HAs) have important environmental and geochemical effects on soil, water environments and sediment. HAs strongly complex some metal ions, which affects the migration of metal ions and the colloidal aggregation of HA. Here, the complexation of Ca2+ and Mg2+ with HA in aqueous solution under neutral conditions has been systematically studied by molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. The results show that the aggregation of HA is caused by the complexation of HA and metal ions, mainly due to the intermolecular bridging between Ca2+, Mg2+ and COO- groups. Monodentate and bidentate coordinations have been found between Ca2+ and COO- groups of different HA molecules in the same simulation system. Mg2+ only has a monodentate coordination with COO- group.
