Interaction Between Tangeretin and Ovalbumin to Reduce the Allergic Effects of Ovalbumin

Food allergy has become a worldwide problem. To find an effective way to reduce the allergic effect of allergen is an interesting topic. In this work, the interaction between ovalbumin（OVA） and tangeretin was studied by means of spectroscopy, molecular docking calculation and animal experiment. As the results show, static quenching of fluorescence intensity happened due to the interaction between OVA and tangeretin. Binding constants, binding sites, and thermometric parameters were obtained. The conformation changing of OVA occurred due to the interaction between it and tangeretin. The molecular docking calculation results show that the epitopes Arginine 84（ARG84）, Leucine 87（LEU87）, Asparagine 88（ASN88）, Serine 103（SER103）, Arginine 104（ARG104）, Leucine 124（LEUI24）, Arginine 126（ARG126）, Glycine 127（GLY127）, Glycine 128（GLY128） and Tryptohan 148（TRP148） of OVA were occupied by tangeretin after the docking, which means tangeretin may have some inhibition effects. As the results of animal experiments, the amount of IgE and lung tissue sections of female BALB/c mice in different groups show that tangeretin with different concentrations has better effects than dexamethasone. In conclusion, the tangeretin may have the effects to reduce the allergic effects of OVA via occupying the IgE-binding epitopes of OVA.

The weight of live pigs is directly related to their health, nutrition management, disease prevention and control, and the overall economic benefits to livestock enterprises. Direct weighing can induce stress responses in pigs, leading to decreased productivity. Therefore, modern livestock industries are increasingly turning to non-contact techniques for estimating pig weight, such as automated monitoring systems based on computer vision. These technologies provide continuous, real-time weight-monitoring data without disrupting the pigs' normal activities or causing stress, thereby enhancing breeding efficiency and management levels. Two methods of pig weight estimation based on image and point cloud data are comprehensively analyzed in this paper. We first analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods and then discuss the main problems and challenges in the field of pig weight estimation technology. Finally, we predict the key research areas and development directions in the future.

This paper introduces the performance metric of DSP parallel processing system and presents a model of coarse-grained speedup of DSP parallel processing structure. Quantitative research is done according to the system performance index and target program features. This study simulates and analyzes different communication protocols and different influences of different degrees of parallelism on the parallel processing structure performances. Research on inter-prediction algorithms is an important respect in the real-time video codec technology. In the regarded studies, the prediction error can be reduced by incorporating high accuracy estimation and compensation algorithms. So the performance of compressed video can be improved. However, this brings a considerable cost for the complexity of encoder. The computation complexity is mainly due to the complexity of motion estimation. The paper presents an improved algorithm with the initialized searching point prediction, half-stop principle, beforehand skip mode decision, reduced search window and optional search model. This algorithm for the integer-pixel motion estimation is provided to reduce computation complexity in the block-matching process. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can reduce about 64%-73% of computation complexity compared to full search but only with little PSNR degradation. ©2009 IEEE.

The tube spread around strong cooling technology is new technology of the making semisolid slurry and semisolid billet in Semi-Solid Processing. The technologic parameter of its on the A356 Alloy is researched in the article. It is showed by the result of the experimentation: that the fine and form verge on rotundity crystal grain is made at 180L/h and at 640-650 degrees C. It has met all the conditions in the semi-solid processing on semisolid billet. Semi-solid forming technology has been called the "new metal processing technology in the 21st century", which in foreign countries has certain industrial applications. In 1996 in the United States the sales of semi-solid casting was up to 1 billion dollars. But the industrial application in China is almost empty, one of the most important reasons is: the preparation of slurry or billet is too complicated or cost of production is too high, so that semi-solid forming technology in China has suffered serious setbacks on the road of industrialization. According to this situation, we have done a little attempts on manufacturing slurry and billet of semi-solid forming and have developed a new technology of spread around strong cooling whose intellectual property rights belong to us, equipment production is simple and the process is easy to control and the semi-solid slurry is east to prepare continuously. Application of Cu²⁺-based electron spin resonance spectroscopy in measurement of antioxidant capacity of fruits

The antioxidant capacity of 22 kinds of fruits was measured by the developed electron spin resonance (ESR) method based on Cu2+ sensor. Cu2+ is reduced to Cu+ by the antioxidants in the fruits, and the remaining Cu2+ was determined by ESR and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Cu2+ can give an ESR signal whereas Cu+ cannot, and the loss of the ESR signal was used to quantify the antioxidant capacity of various fruits. The results were shown as vitamin C equivalent antioxidant capacity (VCEAC). The VCEAC values obtained by ESR and UV-Vis methods ranged from 24.23 to 688.61 mg/100 g and from 24.12 to 677.79 mg/100 g, respectively. Cupric ion reducing antioxidant capacity (CUPRAC) and 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) methods were employed for comparison. Based on Pearson's correlation test, the results obtained by CUPRAC and DPPH methods were both significantly correlated with these obtained by the present method, which indicated that the novel method was reliable. Total phenolic content for all kinds of fruits was measured with the Folin-Ciocalteu reagent, and VCEAC values obtained by the ESR method were significantly correlated with total phenolic contents.

Iron-tetrasulfophthalocyanine functionalized graphene nanosheets: Attractive hybrid nanomaterials for electrocatalysis and electroanalysis

We report the characteristics and electrochemical sensing features of iron-tetrasulfophthalocyanine (FeTSPc)-functionalized graphene nanosheets (GNs) composites. The noncovalently FeTSPc-functionalized GNs (GNs-FeTSPc) possess an improved solubility in aqueous solution and the GNs-FeTSPc film electrode exhibits an enhanced electrocatalytic activity towards oxidation of isoniazid (INZ) and uric acid (UA). Direct electrochemistry of GNs-FeTSPc nanocomposites shows that GNs could facilitate the electron transfer between glass carbon electrodes (GCEs) and the electroactive center of FeTSPc. Additionally, a comparative study using different carbon nanomaterials reveals that the functionalized GNs have better electrocatalytic ability than that of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and graphite while no obvious enhancement is obtained on mesoporous carbons (MPC) and fullerene (C-60). Hence, the GNs with unusual structure are suitable for preparing functionalized nanocomposite as a promising electrochemical sensing platform. (c) 2010 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Ultrasonic-Assisted Nebulization Extraction Coupled with SPE and HPLC for the Determination of Triterpenoids in Root of Euphorbia pekinensis Rupr.

In this work, a novel method based on ultrasonic-assisted nebulization extraction coupled with solid phase extraction (UANE-SPE) and determined by high performance liquid chromatography was developed for the determination of triterpenoids in root of Euphorbia pekinensis Rupr. The experimental conditions for the UANE-SPE, such as type of extraction solvent, sample amount, type and amount of sorbent, extraction time and volume of the elution solvent, were examined and optimized. The method was successfully applied to determine euphol and tirucallol in the dried root of E. pekinensis Rupr. The recoveries of the analytes were in the range of 89.1-102.0 %. The limits of detection were 12 mu g g(-1) for tirucallol and 10 mu g g(-1) for euphol. The extraction yields obtained by the proposed method are higher than those obtained by the conventional extraction methods, such as reflux and ultrasonic-assisted extraction. Compared with the traditional methods, the proposed method can reduce the consumption of the labor, shorten the sample preparation time and increase the efficiencies in the extraction of active constituents from plant materials.

The inhibitory activity of 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 3, 4-heptamethoxyflavone extracted from Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium on RBL-2H3 cells degranulation was done by two different methods. At low concentration, the values of inhibition obtained by modified method were much larger than that of the classical method. Spectroscopic measurements and molecular docking calculation were applied to study the mechanism. It was induced by interaction between flavonoid and immunoglobulin E. Compared with the interaction between antibody and receptor, the force was weak, the inhibitory effect on -hexosaminidase release was strong, with some structural changes to the antibody.
