The improved LOMO feature combines Color Name feature with LOMO, because Color Name feature has strong robustness to illumination. However, Color Name feature has the weakness that it loses graphical details. The..efore, the feature is unsuitable for traditional pooling method. To overcome the disadvantage, a specific pooling method called global Gaussian pooling for Color Name feature is designed, which is based on Gaussian distribution and can weigh the different regions of an image. aMAP Score as a Predictor for Long-Term Outcomes in Patients with HBV-Related Acute-on-Chronic Liver Failure

Background and Aim: The long-term outcomes of patients with hepatitis B virus-related acute-on-chronic liver failure (HBV-ACLF) remain not well known. This study aimed to investigate whether aMAP score can predict re-hospitalization, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) occurrence and long-term mortality in patients with HBV-ACLF. Methods: A total of 82 patients diagnosed with HBV-ACLF and survived over 6 months were enrolled. The median follow-up period was 105 (75.9, 134.1) months. The Cox proportional hazards or logistic regression analysis was used to determine independent risk factors. Cumulative incidence of HCC and survival rate were evaluated using Kaplan-Meier analysis. Results: Multivariate analysis identified that the aMAP risk score was an independent predictor of re-hospitalization (odds ratio [OR] = 1.112, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.021-1.211, p = 0.015), hepatocellular carcinoma occurrence (hazards ratio [HR] = 2.277, 95% CI: 1.014-5.114, p = 0.046) and mortality (HR = 1.366, 95% CI: 1.040-1.794, p = 0.025). High-risk aMAP scores were associated with higher risk of HCC occurrence and mortality. Conclusion: A higher aMAP score was an independent risk predictor of re-hospitalization, HCC occurrence and mortality, respectively, in HBV-ACLF patients who survived over 6 months, which can be applicable for early risk stratification and clinical decision.

Magnetic dispersive solid-phase extraction for the determination of three different glycosides in the Kang'ai injection

In this work, the content of flavonoid glycosides and astragalosides in a Chinese medicine injection was determined by using the magnetic dispersive solid phase extraction method coupled with high performance liquid chromatography with an evaporative light-scattering detector (HPLC/ELSD). Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) modified by Fe3O4 nanoparticles obtained in a one-step synthetic procedure, were used as a sorbent to conveniently remove the analytes from water. Single factor experiments were performed to investigate the factors that affected the extraction efficiency, such as the hydroxyl content of the modified MWCNTs, the amount of sorbent, the type of elution solvent, the volume of elution solvent, sample pH and salting-out effect. Under the appropriate optimal conditions, the limits of detection (LODs) and limits of quantification (LOQs) for the three glycosides ranged from 0.16 mu g/mL to 0.60 mu g/mL and 0.58 mu g/mL to 1.24 mu g/mL, respectively. Moreover, the intra- and interday precision ranged from 1.9% to 2.9% and 2.4% to 4.5%, respectively. Meanwhile, the recoveries of spiked samples were measured, which ranged from 91.1% to 96.2% with relative standard deviations (RSDs) ranging from 2.8% to 3.8%. Accordingly, the application of the proposed method for the analysis of Chinese medicine injection samples offered several advantages: an acceptable precision, low LODs and good recoveries. This work might provide a research basis for the quality control of Chinese medicine injections and the further study of the Kang'ai injection.

Centrifugation free and air-assisted liquid-liquid microextraction based on deep eutectic solvent for determination of rare ginsenosides in Kang'ai injection

A simple, effective and convenient enrichment method coupled with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was established for the analysis of rare ginsenosides in Kang'ai (KA) injection. Air assisted liquid-liquid microextraction was used in this work for the first time to determine the rare ginsenosides in KA injection. Deep eutectic solvent (DES) and tetrahydrofuran (THF) were specially selected as a novel green extraction solvent and an emulsified solvent, respectively. To remove the DES droplets, Fe3O4 nanoparticles were used. Therefore, centrifugation was free in this work, which can increase the efficiency of analysis procedure. Moreover, Fe3O4 nanoparticles were reusable. To achieve better extraction efficiency and enrichment factor, the experimental conditions have been optimized, including type and volume of DES and emulsified solvent, amount of Fe3O4 nanoparticles and inorganic salt, and pH value. Under the optimum extraction condition, the validation parameters show the limits of detection (LODs) are in the range from 10.2 ng/mL to 137.8 ng/mL and the limits of quantity (LOQs) are in the range from 55.5 ng/mL to 428.5 ng/mL. The recoveries of analytes range from 91.3% to 106.7% with the relative standard deviations (RSDs) ranging from 1.2% to 4.5%. The recommended approach was utilized to acquire the information of constituents in KA injection. Moreover, the results in this research could provide a study basis for further study of KA injection.

Nitroreductase-responsive photosensitizers for selective imaging and photo-inactivation of intracellular bacteria

Intracellular Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), especially the methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), are difficult to detect and eradicate due to the protection by the host cells. Antibacterial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) offers promise in treating intracellular bacteria, provided that selective damage to the bacteria ranther than host cells can be realized. According to the different nitroreductase (NTR) levels in mammalian cells and S. aureus, herein NTR-responsive photosensitizers (PSs) (T)CyI-NO2 were designed and synthesized. The emission and 1O2 generation of (T)CyI-NO2 are quenched by the 4-nitrobenzyl group, but can be specifically switched on by bacterial NTR. Therefore, selective imaging and photo-inactivation of intracellular S. aureus and MRSA were achieved. Our findings may pave the way for the development of more efficient and selective aPDT agents to combat intractable intracellular infections. Two nitroreductase (NTR)-responsive photosensitizers ((T)CyI-NO2) were designed and synthesized. The quenched fluorescence and singlet oxygen production of (T)CyI-NO2 can be switched on by NTR in S. aureus. Detailed studies displayed TCyI-NO2 was able to selectively image and efficiently photo-inactivate intracellular bacteria with little cytotoxicity. image

Intelligent manufacturing has become the trend of global manufacturing industry, and the core of the new industrial revolution and the commanding point of Made in China 2025. Process planning is an important part of intelligent manufacturing. To improve the speed and accuracy of intelligent generation of machining process, a systematic intelligent generation method of machining process based on process knowledge is proposed. Firstly, a method of modelling and management of process knowledge is presented. Secondly, by combining case-based reasoning with rule-based reasoning, accurate process information of machining features is obtained. Then, the skeleton process is formed. Thirdly, through the analysis of the precedence constraints and the processing experience constraints, the precedence relation between machining features is determined. Moreover, the precedence between process operations is formulated by process constraint matrix. Finally, a genetic algorithm (GA) approach is presented to obtain the global optimal process route for the part based on working step with process information. Taking the connecting rod and piston of marine diesel engine and the spindle box shell as the research object, the feasibility of this method is verified.

Determination of common ginsenosides in Kang'ai injection by aqueous two-phase extraction with deep eutectic solvents and HPLC-UV/DAD

In this work, four kinds of deep eutectic solvents (DESs), composed of choline chloride (ChCl) and several alcohols, were synthesized and characterized by H-1 NMR and FT-IR spectra. Based on DES ( ChCl and 1,4-butanediol) and inorganic salt solution (dipotassium phosphate, K2HPO4), aqueous two-phase system (ATPS) coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography has been developed and applied. This method was used for the efficient extraction and determination of eight common ginsenosides (including ginsenoside Rg(1), Re, Rf, Rg(2), Rc, Rb-2 and Rd) in the traditional Chinese medicine injection named Kang'ai injection. To achieve optimum extraction performance, the experimental conditions were optimized, including type and amount of DES and salt, ultrasound time, temperature and pH value. In the dynamic linearity range, experimental results showed satisfactory recoveries of analytes ranging from 92.7-110.8% with the relative standard deviations (RSDs) ranging from 1.2-3.9%. It has been proved that DES-ATPS has great potential for determination of active ingredients in traditional Chinese medicine injection as well as samples in other analytical science field. Model-based definition (MBD) carries out a technological innovation for global manufacturing, application of MBD technology plays an important supporting in process design, product manufacturing and other development activities, rapid creation of MBD models have become a key to reduce time and cost for enterprises. However, interactive dimensioning method has severely hampered the efficiency of MBD model creation. This paper mainly studies the dimensions intelligent marking method based on the predefined features to solve the rapid modeling problem of MBD model. Firstly, the expression model of dimensions metadata is established based on the feature identifier. Secondly, by establishing an association mechanism between the dimensions and the predefined feature, the "model-feature-dimensioning" association model is formed. Thirdly, through analysis of the dimensioning type, the intelligent dimensioning algorithm process is determined. Moreover, the completeness check of the dimensions is guaranteed during the marking process. Finally, taking the connecting rod and crankshaft of marine diesel as the research object, the effectiveness of this method is verified.

Association Between Clinical Manifestations and Prognosis in Patients with COVID-19

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors associated with pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), and clinical outcome among patients with novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Methods: This was a cross-sectional multicenter clinical study. A total of 95 patients infected with COVID-19 were enrolled. The COVID-19 diagnostic standard was polymerase chain reaction detection of target genes of 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV). Clinical, laboratory, and radiologic results, as well as treatment outcome data, were obtained. ARDS was defined as an oxygenation index (arterial partial pressure of oxygen/fraction of inspired oxygen) <= 300 mm Hg. Findings: Multivariate analysis showed that older age (odds ratio [OR], 1.078;p = 0.008) and high body mass index (OR, 1.327;p = 0.024) were independent risk factors associated with patients with pneumonia. For patients with ARDS, multivariate analysis showed that only high systolic blood pressure (OR, 1.046;p = 0.025) and high lactate dehydrogenase level (OR, 1.010;p = 0.021) were independent risk factors associated with ARDS. A total of 70 patients underwent CT imaging repeatedly after treatment. Patients were divided in a disease exacerbation group (n = 19) and a disease relief group (n = 51). High body mass index (OR, 1.285;p = 0.017) and tobacco smoking (OR, 16.13;p = 0.032) were independent risk factors associated with disease exacerbation after treatment. (C) 2020 The Authors.
