A photo-degradable BODIPY-modified Ru(ii) photosensitizer for safe and efficient PDT under both normoxic and hypoxic conditions

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is promising for cancer treatment but still suffers from some limitations. For instance, PDT based on O-1(2) generation (in a type-II mechanism) is heavily dependent on high oxygen concentrations and will be significantly depressed in hypoxic tumors. In addition, the residual photosensitizers after PDT treatment may cause severe side-effects under light irradiation. To solve these problems, herein a BODIPY (boron dipyrromethene)-modified Ru(II) complex [Ru(dip)(2)(tpy-BODIPY)](2+) (complex 1, dip = 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline, tpy = 2,2':6',2''-terpyridine) was designed and synthesized. Complex 1 exhibited both high singlet oxygen quantum yield (Phi = 0.7 in CH3CN) and excellent superoxide radical (O-2(center dot)-) generation, and thus demonstrated efficient PDT activity under both normoxic and hypoxic conditions. Moreover, complex 1 is photo-degradable in water, and greatly loses its ROS generation ability after PDT treatment. These novel properties of complex 1 make it promising for efficient PDT under both normoxic and hypoxic conditions with reduced side-effects.

Association between hypertension and prognosis of patients with COVID-19: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Background To investigate the association between hypertension and clinical outcomes, including in-hospital mortality, intensive care unit (ICU) admission, and invasive ventilation in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pneumonia. Methods We implemented a systematic search of PubMed for articles that assessed clinical outcomes of hypertensive patients infected with SARS-CoV-2. The primary outcomes evaluated included: in-hospital mortality, ICU admission, and the use of invasive ventilation. Results A total of 18 studies were included, involving 13,293 patients and covering from January 25, 2020, to April 20, 2020. The relationship between hypertension and prognosis in COVID-19 patients was evaluated. Results showed that hypertension was a risk factor for in-hospital mortality in COVID-19 patients (RR: 2.20, 95% CI, 1.83-2.65, P < .001). Moreover, patients with hypertension were more likely to be admitted to ICU (RR: 1.86, 95% CI, 1.13-3.07, P = .001) and to use invasive ventilation (RR: 2.99, 95% CI, 1.73-5.17, P < .001). Conclusions Among COVID-19 patients, those combined with hypertension had a significantly higher risk of in-hospital deaths, admission to ICU, and need for invasive ventilation.

Studies on New Steroidal Saponins from Allii macrostemonis Bulbus and Their Antitumor Activities

Two new steroidal saponms（2, 3） and two known compounds（1, 4） were isolated from 75% ethanol extract ofAllii macrostemonis bulbus by various spectral methods. The two new steroidal saponins were respectively elucidated as （25S）-26-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-5α-furostanol-2α,3β,22,26-tetrol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl（1→2）-[β-D- glucopyranosyl（1→3）]-β-D-glucopyranosyl（1→4 ）-β-D-galactopyranoside（2 ） and 26-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-5α- furostanol-25（ 27）-ene-3β,22,26-tetrol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl（ 1→2 ）-[β-D-glucopyranosyl（ 1→3 ）] -β-D-glucopyranosyl- （1→4）-β-D-galactopyranoside（3）. Compound 4 was obtained from this medical plant for the first time. The activity experiments of proliferation inhibition on tumor cells were performed by cell counting kit-8（CCK-8） method for compound 2（25S-configuration） and its isomer（compound 1, 25R-configttration）. The results show that compounds 1 and 2 have weak inhibition on lung cancer A549 cells, melanoma A375 cells and breast cancer MCF-7 cells as well as certain inhibitory effect on liver cancer HepG2 cells, and the inhibitory effect of compound 1 is stronger than that of compound 2.

The Modeling and Using Strategy for the Digital Twin in Process Planning

Process planning is the core of guiding process production and one of the most critical parts to realize intelligent manufacturing of products. In order to realize the monitoring, simulation, prediction and control of the physical space in the intelligent manufacturing mode, the digital twin technology is used to guide the process planning. This research describes a modeling method of digital twin process model (DTPM) for manufacturing process and the contents of DT data, discusses the acquisition method of real-time data and the management method of simulation data. Aiming at the data fusion between physical space and virtual space, a hierarchical model and mapping strategy for multi-source heterogeneous data in machining process are proposed to generate the DT data. Finally, the guidance and the visualization function in process planning of DTPM is analyzed, and the effectiveness of this method is verified by choosing the design process of a key component in a marine diesel engine.

Person re-identification is a technique to automatically search the same people in diffe..ent camera views. It is a challenging task because of the huge variations caused by different illuminations and views in images. The improved LOMO feature combines Color Name feature with LOMO, because Color Name feature has strong robustness to illumination. Studies on Triterpenoid Glycosides from Rhizomes ofPanacis majoris and Their Antiplatelet Aggregation Activity

A new triterpenoid glycoside（l） and seven known triterpenoid glycosides, pseudoginsenoside RT2（2）,yesanchinoside R2（3）, vinaginsenoside R13（4）, vinaginsenoside R8（5）, notoginsenoside E（6）, 6＂＇-O-acetylginsenosideRe（7）, 6＂-O-acetylginsenoside Rbl（8）, were isolated from the rhizomes of Panaeis maforis. The new triterpenoidglycoside was elucidated as 3-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-（l→2）-fl-D-（6＇-O-ethyl）-glucuronopyranosyl]-oleanolicacid-28-O-β-D-glucopyranoside by extensive spectroscopic and phytochemical methods. Compounds 2-8 wereobtained from the plant for the first time. Compounds 3 and 4 displayed good activities against adenosine diphosphate（ADP）-induced platelet aggregation, and compounds 1, 5, 6 and 8 showed moderate activities. Compound 6 exhibitedmoderate antiplatelet aggregation activity induced by arachidonic acid（AA）.

A study on genotype x environment interactions for the multiple traits of maize hybrids in China

The correct interpretation of the adaptability and stability of maize (Zea mays L.) hybrids in different ecological environments is very important for plant breeders. Additive main effect and multiplicative interaction model and genotype main effects and genotype x environment interaction biplot are the two most popular methods in the analysis of genotype x environment interaction in multienvironment trials. We conducted an experiment designed to examine and evaluate the adaptability and stability of four agronomic traits of 19 tested maize genotypes in two consecutive growth cycles across seven provinces including 37 locations using a randomized completely block design with three replicates. The combined ANOVA for all traits showed that the effect of genotype, environment, and genotype x environment interaction were significant at 0.1% probability levels. In order to evaluate multiple agronomic traits more accurately, multitrait stability index (MTSI) as an emerging selection method based on mean performance and stability was adopted. Agronomic trait grain yield (GY) was positively correlated with grain weight per ear and growth period. In addition, it was also found that GY and bar tip length showed obvious negative correlation. The MTSI is very helpful for breeders who hope to select mean performance and stability based on a variety of agronomic traits because it provides a convenient selection process while taking into account the relevant results of the traits.

Dynamic design method of digital twin process model driven by knowledge-evolution machining features

Machining plan is the core of guiding manufacturing production and is regarded as one of the keys to ensure the quality of product processing. Existing process design methods are inefficient to quickly handle the machining plan changed induced by the unpredictable events in real-time production. It inevitably causes time and economic losses for the enterprise. In order to express the evolutionary characteristics of product processing, the construction method of digital twin process model (DTPM) is proposed based on the knowledge-evolution machining features. Three key technologies include correlation structure of process knowledge, expression method of the evolution geometric features and the association mechanism between two are solved. On this basis, the construction framework of DTPM is illustrated. Then, the organisation and management mechanism of multi-source heterogeneous data is discussed in detail. At last, a case study of the complex machined part is researched, the results show that the processing time reduced by about 7% and the processing stability improved by 40%. Meanwhile, the implementation scheme, application process and effect of this case are described in detail to provide reference for enterprises.

Sensitive determination of three aconitum alkaloids and their metabolites in human plasma by matrix solid-phase dispersion with vortex-assisted dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction and HPLC with diode array detection

A simple and sensitive method for determination of three aconitum alkaloids and their metabolites in human plasma was developed using matrix solid-phase dispersion combined with vortex-assisted dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction and high-performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection. The plasma sample was directly purified by matrix solid-phase dispersion and the eluate obtained was concentrated and further clarified by vortex-assisted dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction. Some important parameters affecting the extraction efficiency, such as type and amount of dispersing sorbent, type and volume of elution solvent, type and volume of extraction solvent, salt concentration as well as sample solution pH, were investigated in detail. Under optimal conditions, the proposed method has good repeatability and reproducibility with intraday and interday relative standard deviations lower than 5.44 and 5.75%, respectively. The recoveries of the aconitum alkaloids ranged from 73.81 to 101.82%, and the detection limits were achieved within the range of 1.6-2.1 ng/mL. The proposed method offered the advantages of good applicability, sensitivity, simplicity, and feasibility, which makes it suitable for the determination of trace amounts of aconitum alkaloids in human plasma samples.
