Due to periodic occlusion caused by rotating vehicles, the antenna cannot continuously receive GNSS signal. At the same time, the Doppler frequency shift caused by rotation also brings additional influence on GNSS signal tracking by the vehicles. This paper proposes a GNSS signal tracking algorithm based on dual antennas. The algorithm realizes the continuous and stable tracking of GNSS signal by signal preprocessing of symmetric dual antenna and joint calculation. Simulation results show that the algorithm can effectively reduce the influence of rotation on GNSS tracking PLL and improve the stability of tracking process. © 2022 ACM.

Development and validation of a predictive model for metabolic syndrome in a large cohort of people living with HIV

BackgroundThe global prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MetS) in people living with HIV (PLWH) is on the rise in the post era of antiretroviral therapy (ART). Nevertheless, there are no validated predictive models available for assessing the risk of MetS in this specific *** study included PLWH who participated in annual follow-ups at Southern Medical University Nanfang Hospital from September 2022 to November 2023. Participants enrolled in this study were divided into the training set and validation set based on the follow-up duration. We employed both multivariate logistic regression and lasso regression to develop three distinct prediction models. Subsequently, the optimal model was determined through comprehensive analyses, including receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis, calibration curve, and decision curve analysis (DCA). Ultimately, we generated a nomogram for the optimal model and analyzed the correlation between the model score and the components of *** total of 1017 participants were included in this study, with 814 in the training set and 203 in the validation set. The ultimate prediction model of MetS risk in PLWH incorporated five factors: age, CD8 + T cell counts, controlled attenuation parameter (CAP), gamma-glutamyl transferase (gamma-GT) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH). The area under the ROC curve (AUC) of the model in the training set and validation set was 0.849 and 0.834, respectively. Furthermore, we revealed a significant correlation between the model score and the MetS components. Additionally, the model score revealed significant group differences in MetS and related metabolic *** study established a potential model for predicting MetS in PLWH.

Optimising maize threshing process with temporal proximity soft actor-critic deep reinforcement learning algorithm

Maize threshing is a crucial process in grain production, and optimising it is essential for reducing post-harvest losses. This study proposes a model-based temporal proximity soft actor-critic (TP-SAC) algorithm to optimise the maize threshing process in the threshing drum. The proposed approach employs an LSTM model as a real-time predictor of threshing quality, achieving an R2 of 97.17% and 98.43% for damage and unthreshed rates on the validation set. In actual threshing experiments, the LSTM model demonstrates an average error of 5.45% and 3.83% for damage and unthreshed rates. The LSTM model is integrated with the TP-SAC algorithm, acting as the environment with which the TP-SAC interacts, enabling efficient training with limited real-world data. The TPSAC algorithm addresses the temporal correlation in the threshing process by incorporating temporal proximity sampling into the SAC algorithm's experience replay mechanism. TP-SAC outperforms the standard SAC algorithm in the simulated environment, demonstrating better sample efficiency and faster convergence. When deployed in actual threshing operations, the TP-SAC algorithm reduces the damage rate by an average of 0.91% across different feed rates compared to constant control. The proposed TP-SAC algorithm offers a novel and practical approach to optimising the maize threshing process, enhancing threshing quality.

Ru(II)-base d aggregation-induce d emission (AIE) agents with efficient 1 O2 generation, photo-catalytic NADH oxidation and anticancer activity

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has received much attention in recent years. However, traditional photosensitizers (PSs) applied in PDT usually suffer from aggregation-caused quenching (ACQ) effect in H2 O, single and inefficient photochemical mechanism of action (MoA), poor cancer targeting ability, etc . In this work, two novel Ru(II)-based aggregation-induced emission (AIE) agents (Ru1 and Ru2) were developed. Both complexes exhibited long triplet excited lifetimes and nearly 100 % singlet oxygen quantum yields in H2 O. In addition, Ru1 and Ru2 displayed potent photo-catalytic reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) oxidation activity with turnover frequency (TOF) values of about 1779 and 20 0 0 h-1 , respectively. Therefore, both Ru1 and Ru2 showed efficient PDT activity towards a series of cancer cells. Moreover, Ru2 was further loaded in bovine serum albumin (BSA) to enhance the tumor targeting ability in vivo , and the obtained Ru2@BSA could selectively accumulate in tumor tissues and effectively inhibit tumor growth on a 4T1 tumor-bearing mouse model. So far as we know, this work represents the first report about Ru(II) AIE agents that possess high singlet oxygen quantum yields and also potent photocatalytic NADH oxidation activity, and may provide new ideas for rational design of novel PSs with efficient PDT activity. Estimated Pulse Wave Velocity as a Novel Non-Invasive Biomarker for Metabolic Syndrome Among People Living with HIV

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the relationship between estimated pulse wave velocity (ePWV) and metabolic syndrome (MetS) in people living with HIV (PLWH), proposing a novel and convenient predictor for early detection of MetS in PLWH. Patients and Methods: A total of 485 PLWH were enrolled. These participants were categorized into two groups based on the estimated pulse wave velocity (ePWV) level. Demographic and clinical data were collected to investigate the correlation between ePWV and MetS. Results: The cohort of 485 PLWH was categorized into high-ePWV and low-ePWV groups based on ePWV cutoff value of 10 m/s. We observed significant differences in components of MetS including triglycerides (TG, P < 0.05), HDL cholesterol (HDL-C, P < 0.01), systolic blood pressure (SBP, P < 0.001), diastolic blood pressure (DBP, P < 0.05), and fasting plasma glucose (FPG, P < 0.001) between the two groups. Furthermore, we employed receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves to demonstrate the effectiveness of ePWV as a predictive indicator for MetS in PLWH (AUC = 0.739, P < 0.001). According to the ROC curve, the optimal cut-off value of ePWV was 7.4 m/s, and its sensitivity and specificity in diagnosing MetS in PLWH were 79.03% and 64.07%, respectively. Although the 7.4 m/s cutoff increased the false positive rate compared to the traditional cutoff, it significantly reduced the rate of missed diagnoses, effectively identifying 79.03% of PLWH with MetS. Conclusion: ePWV is a non-invasive and convenient novel biomarker with predictive capabilities for MetS in PLWH.

Fatty Infiltration of Multifidus Muscles: An Easily Overlooked Risk Factor for the Severity of Osteoporotic Vertebral Fractures

ObjectivesOsteoporotic vertebral fractures (OVFs) are a critical public health concern requiring urgent attention, and severe OVFs impose substantial health and economic burdens on patients and society. Analysis of the risk factors for severe OVF is imperative to actively prevent the occurrence of this degenerative disorder. This study aimed to investigate the risk factors associated with the severity of OVF, with a specific focus on changes in the paraspinal *** total of 281 patients with a first-time single-level acute OVF between January 2016 and January 2023 were enrolled in the study. Clinical and radiological data were collected and analyzed. The cross-sectional area (CSA) and degree of fatty infiltration (FI) of the paraspinal muscles, including the multifidus muscles (MFMs), erector spinae muscles (ESMs), and psoas major muscles (PSMs), were measured by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the L4/5 intervertebral discs. According to the classification system of osteoporotic fractures (OF classification) and recommended treatment plan, OVFs were divided into a low-grade OF group and a high-grade OF group. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyse s were performed to identify risk factors associated with the severity of ***-eight patients were included in the low-grade OF group, and 183 patients were included in the high-grade OF group. Univariate analysis revealed a significantly higher incidence of a high degree of FI of MFMs (OR = 1.71, p = 0.002) and ESMs (OR = 1.56, p = 0.021) in the high-grade OF group. Further multivariate logistic regression analysis demonstrated that a high degree of FI of the MFMs (OR = 1.71, p = 0.002) is an independent risk factor for the severity of *** high degree of FI of the MFMs was identified as an independent risk factor for the severity of OVF. THE SECOND ORDER 2D BEHAVIORS OF A 3D BOSE GASES IN THE GROSS-PITAEVSKII REGIME

We consider a system of N bosons interacting in a three-dimensional box endowed with periodic boundary condition that is strongly confined in one direction such that the normalized thickness of the box d 1. We assume particles to interact through a repulsive, radially symmetric and short-range interaction potential with scattering length scale a d. We present a comprehensive study of such system in the Gross-Pitaevskii regime, up to the second order ground state energy, starting from proving optimal Bose-Einstein condensation results which were not previously available. The fine interplay between the parameters N, a and d generates three regions. Our result in one region on the one hand, is compatible with the classical three-dimensional Lee-Huang-Yang formula. On the other hand, it reveals a new mechanism exhibiting how the second order correction compensates and modifies the first order energy, which was previously thought of as containing a jump, and thus explains how a three-dimensional Bose gas system smoothly transits into two-dimensional system. Moreover, delving into the analysis of this new mechanism exclusive to the second order, we discover a dimensional coupling correlation effect, deeply buried away from the expected 3D and quasi-2D renormalizations, and calculate a new second order correction to the ground state energy. We prove the 2nd order ground state energy approximation corresponding to the Huang-Yang formula. The thermodynamic limit case shares a similar logic, and could be dealt with in a separate paper. Prediction of Subsequent Vertebral Fracture After Acute Osteoporotic Fractures from Clinical and Paraspinal Muscle Features

To construct a nomogram based on clinical factors and paraspinal muscle features to predict vertebral fractures occurring after acute osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture (OVCF). We retrospectively enrolled 307 patients with acute OVCF between January 2013 and August 2022, and performed magnetic resonance imaging of the L3/4 and L4/5 intervertebral discs (IVDs) to estimate the cross-sectional area (CSA) and degree of fatty infiltration (FI) of the paraspinal muscles. We also collected clinical and radiographic data. We used univariable and multivariable Cox proportional hazards models to identify factors that should be included in the predictive nomogram. Post-OVCF vertebral fracture occurred within 3, 12, and 24 months in 33, 69, and 98 out of the 307 patients (10.8%, 22.5%, and 31.9%, respectively). Multivariate analysis revealed that this event was associated with percutaneous vertebroplasty treatment, higher FI at the L3/4 IVD levels of the psoas muscle, and lower relative CSA of functional muscle at the L4/5 IVD levels of the multifidus muscle. Area under the curve values for subsequent vertebral fracture at 3, 12, and 24 months were 0.711, 0.724, and 0.737, respectively, indicating remarkable accuracy of the nomogram. We developed a model for predicting post-OVCF vertebral fracture from diagnostic information about prescribed treatment, FI at the L3/4 IVD levels of the psoas muscle, and relative CSA of functional muscle at the L4/5 IVD levels of the multifidus muscle. This model could facilitate personalized predictions and preventive strategies.
