Flexible and lightweight supercapacitors with satisfactory energy density and long-term stability are urgently required to provide power for flexible, foldable, and wearable electronic devices. Herein, reedlike carbon nanofibers (RCNFs) with hierarchical macropores in the core and micropores and honeycomb mesopores in the shell are designed by electrospinning, carbonization, and etching, leading to high electronic conductivity and satisfactory mechanical flexibility and foldability. Subsequently, flowerlike Ni-Co-S nanoarrays are grown in situ on RCNFs by electrodeposition, and fern leaf-like Fe2O3-C core-shell nanoneedles, in which porous Fe2O3 are coated with ultrathin carbon layers, are decorated on RCNFs via hydrothermal synthesis, polydopamine modification, and thermal annealing. Because of unique core-shell structures and synergistic effects of these active components, the RCNF@ Ni-Co-S cathode and the RCNF@Fe2O3-C anode exhibit high specific capacitances of 1728 and 221.5 F g(-1) at 1 A g(-1), respectively. With a poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/potassium hydroxide (KOH) solid gel as both an electrolyte and a separator, the assembled flexible quasi-solid-state asymmetric supercapacitor achieves a high energy density of 44.9 W h kg(-1) at 1549.7 W kg(-1), and the capacitance remains at 94% after bending the asymmetric supercapacitor to 180 degrees. The flexible electrodes with excellent electrochemical performances are highly promising for high-performance wearable energy storage devices.

Tangentially viewing hard X-ray imaging system and its measurement simulation on the HL-2M tokamak

A tangentially viewing Hard X-ray Real-Time Imaging (HXR-RTI) system and its measurement simulation on the HL-2M tokamak are presented. The HXR-RTI system mainly consists of a CsI:Tl scintillator crystal, a pinhole mechanism and a high-speed camera. When the CsI:Tl crystal is struck by the X-ray photons, certain wavelengths of visible or near-visible photons will be scintillated, which could be collected by the lens and imaged by the high-speed camera. This system can measure HXR with energy up to 300 keV, spatial resolution of less than 10 mm, and temporal resolution of several tens of microseconds. To understand the emission profile, we have developed a Geant4 model. The simulation results confirm that the spatial asymmetry will eventually lead to radiation asymmetry distribution. This system is designed for real-time exhibition of hard X-ray radiations from fast electron forward bremsstrahlung and will be used to study the dynamics of fast electrons.

Development of hard X-ray spectrometer with full digital data acquisition for runaway electron studies at HL-2M

The development of hard X-ray (HXR) spectrometers with full digital data acquisition for runaway electron studies on the HL-2M tokamak is presented. Consisting of large-sized NaI:Tl detectors and high-performance multichannel analyzers, this system can realize the measurement of HXR with energies ranging from 0.5 to 10 MeV, and spectrum temporal resolution of 1 ms. An average energy resolution of 56 keV at 662 keV has been achieved at counts rates of about 100 kcps. The spectra data is acquired by a digital-based data acquisition system with fast digitization and software signal processing technology. The energy calibrations are performed by using several radioisotope gamma-ray sources, and the detection efficiencies are simulated by MCNP code. First experimental results from HL-2M Ohmic discharges are presented in this paper.

Imaging detection of composite plates is presented based on reconstruction algorithm for the probabilistic inspection of damage (RAPID) and double-turn coil omnidirectional shear-horizontal wave magnetostrictive patch transducer (OSH-MPT) array. The lowest shear-horizontal mode (SH0) can propagate in the composite plate through bonding double-turn coil OSH-MPT. RAPID can realize using the direct wave of SH0 mode to extract the damage information. It is beneficial to detect composite plate in the case that the velocity of direct waves varies with the propagation direction. A small mass which is circular cylinder is bonded to simulate damage. Imaging results are achieved after using modified methods for eliminating the influence of the uneven probability distribution of the array (UPDA) in RAPID. Threshold is selected based on the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve for improving RAPID-based imaging accuracy. © 2017 International Committee on Composite Materials. Multiple pre-harvest applications of antagonist Pseudomonas fluorescens ZX induce resistance against blue and green molds in postharvest citrus fruit

The pre-harvest applications of antagonists are promising strategies to minimize various postharvest diseases. Given this, we sought to evaluate the capability of Pseudomonas fluorescens ZX in inducing resistance of postharvest citrus fruit against blue and green molds, caused by Penicillium italicum and Penicillium digitatum, respectively. Results showed that pre-treatment with P. fluorescens ZX significantly inhibited blue and green molds, generally providing stronger protection with increasing number of sprays. More specifically, three applications of the antagonist reduced disease incidence by about 47% and 41%, reduced lesion diameter by around 40% and 28%, and reduced disease index by approximately 69% and 57%, when exposed to blue and green molds, respectively. Mechanistically, these protective effects might be linked to the increased activities of superoxide dismutase, ascorbate peroxidase, peroxidase, and polyphenoloxidase, along with substantial response of phenolic acids (syringic, p-coumaric, ferulic, and sinapinic acids) and flavonoids (rutin, neohesperidin, hesperetin, sinensetin and tangeretin). P. fluorescens ZX survived well on fruit surface, and more importantly, pretreatments exhibited no negative effects on fruit quality;on the contrary, it partly improved fruit quality during postharvest storage. Collectively, these results indicated that multiple pre-harvest applications of P. fluorescens ZX are useful for control of postharvest diseases.

Natural gas hydrate(NGH) is considered as one of the new clean energy sources of the 21st century with the highest potential. The environmental issues of NGH production have attracted the close attention of scientists in various countries. In 2017 and 2020, China Geological Survey successfully organized two rounds of NGH production test in the South China Sea, which set a number of world records, marking a significant leap from "exploratory test production" to "experimental test production", and also indicating an important breakthrough in environmental safety of NGH production test. China Geological survey attaches great importance to the environmental impact of NGH research work. Since 2011, we have research methane leakage, underwater landslides, subsidence, and marine ecological change may cause by NGH exploration. And the marine environment baseline characteristics before the production test in Shenhu sea area have been clarified. In addition, environmental security has also been effectively guaranteed via a comprehensive environmental monitoring system built during the NGH production test. The monitoring system considered methane leakage, seabed subsidence, marine environment and sea surface atmosphere environment. The whole process was monitored via multiple means, in multiple layers, in all domains, and in real time. After the production test, the marine environment tracking survey have been carried out in time to effectively discuss and verify the environmental impact of NGH production test. The results of the two rounds of NGH production test showed that the content of dissolved methane in seawater and the seabed environment characteristics is consistent with the background values, indicating that the two rounds of production test did not cause seabed landslide, methane leakage and other environmental problems, and make no difference on the marine environment basically.

Binding affinity and dissociation pathway predictions for a series of USP7 inhibitors with pyrimidinone scaffold by multiple computational methods

Ubiquitin specific protease 7 (USP7) has attracted increasing attention because of its multifaceted roles in different tumor types. The crystal structures of USP7-inhibitor complexes resolved recently provide reliable models for computational structure-based drug design (SBDD) towards USP7. How to accurately estimate USP7-ligand binding affinity is quite critical to guarantee the reliability of SBDD. In this study, we assessed the reliability of multiple computational methods to the binding affinity prediction for a series of USP7 inhibitors with the pyrimidinone scaffold, including molecular docking scoring, MM/PB(GB)SA, and umbrella sampling (US). It was found that the accuracy of the evaluated computational methods for binding affinity prediction follows the order: US-based method > MM/PB(GB)SA > Glide XP scoring. The calculation results demonstrate that incorporating protein flexibility through induced-fit docking or ensemble docking cannot improve the performance of the Glide scoring based on rigid-receptor docking. For the MM/PB(GB)SA methods, the choice of the protein structure and the calculation procedure has a marked impact on the predictions. More importantly, we discovered for the first time that there are significant differences in the dissociation pathways of strong-binding inhibitors and weak-binding inhibitors of USP7, which may be used as a new criterion to judge whether an inhibitor is a strong binder or not. It is expected that our work can provide valuable guidance on the design and discovery of potent USP7 inhibitors.

Delamination detection in composite plates by synthesizing time-reversed Lamb waves and a modified damage imaging algorithm based on RAPID

Combined with the modified damage imaging algorithm based on Reconstruction Algorithm for the Probabilistic Inspection of Damage (RAPID), a baseline-free detection method of the Lamb waves based on time reversal method is developed to detect the delamination in the composite plate. Through the analysis of the focus position of time reversal signal, a new calculation method of Damage Index (DI) values is proposed. The modified damage imaging algorithm based on RAPID is integrated with two image fusion methods: full summation method and full multiplication method. According to the analysis of limitations of the modified damage imaging algorithm, the transducer array is adopted, and the problem of the uneven probability distribution caused by the uneven density of sensing network is discussed. Modified methods are proposed to eliminate the influence of the uneven probability distribution and improve the accuracy and reliability of the detection results. The parameter significantly affects the effective detection range of each sensing path in the modified damage imaging algorithm. The value of parameter was experimentally determined and reasonably applied to detect the delamination. Based on the calculation of the DI of individual sensing path and the imaging results of delamination, the identification and localization of delamination were experimentally achieved. The imaging results demonstrated the problem of the uneven probability distribution and the validity of modified methods. Copyright (c) 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

针对武汉地铁地下车站的抗浮问题,根据盲沟排水降压抗浮的原理,设计了盲沟排水降压的试验模型。选取武汉地区长江三级阶地的黏土和砂土2种介质,按照我国现行规范的规定对试验用土的含水率、干密度和渗透系数等参数进行测定。采用有限元法模拟武汉地区长江三级阶地的地质情况,对设计试验模型的筒底盲沟1和侧壁盲沟2在3种组合工况下盲沟泄水降压试验的总水头、压力水头和盲沟渗流量进行模拟计算,分析不同工况下土层中孔隙水压力的分布规律,获得不同工况下盲沟泄水降压中各点总水头、压力水头和盲沟渗流量的计算结果,为盲沟泄水降压抗浮的试验研究提供理论依据和技术支持。
