Targeting the competitive-cooperative relationships among tumor cells and various immune cells can efficiently reverse the immune-dysfunction microenvironment to boost the immunotherapies for the triple-negative breast cancer treatment. Hence, a bacterial outer membrane vesicle-based nanocomplex is designed for specifically targeting malignant cells and immune cells to reconcile the relationships based on metabolic-immune crosstalk. By uniquely utilizing the property of charge-reversal polymers to realize function separation, the nanocomplexes could synergistically regulate tumor cells and immune cells. This approach could reshape the immunosuppressive competition-cooperation pattern into one that is immune-responsive, showcasing significant potential for inducing tumor remission in TNBC models. A multimodule nanocomplex dual targeting tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) and tumor cells is devised to reconcile cooperative-competitive patterns among multiple cells through metabolic-immune regulation. BACKGROUND: Placental growth factor (PlGF), one of the biomarkers, has a certain predictive effect on hypertensive disorders in pregnancy (HDP). OBJECTIVE: To study the HDP prediction effect of different methods for variable selection and modeling for models containing PlGF. METHODS: For the model containing PlGF, the appropriate range of PlGF parameters needed to be selected. Step-logistic regression and lasso were used to compare the model effect of twice range selection. The PlGF model with good predictive effect and appropriate detecting gestational age was selected for the final prediction. RESULTS: The effect of the model containing PlGF tested at 15-16 weeks was better than the PlGF value without comprehensive screening. The sensitivity of both methods was over 92%. By comprehensive comparison, the final model of lasso method in this study was more effective. CONCLUSIONS: In this study, a variety of methods were used to screen models containing PlGF parameters. According to clinical needs and model effects, the optimal HDP prediction model with PlGF parameters in the second trimester of 15-26 weeks of pregnancy was finally selected.

Hemerocallis minoris a kind of wild plant with high ornamental value. In this study, we sequenced the complete chloroplast genome ofH. minorby using Illumina sequencing techniques. The whole chloroplast genome was 156,063 bp in size, consisting of a large single-copy (LSC) region of 84,820 bp, a small single-copy (SSC) region of 18,505 bp, and a pair of inverted repeats (IRa and IRb) regions of 26,369 bp. The chloroplast genome contained 134 genes in total, including 88 protein-coding genes, 38 tRNA genes, and eight rRNA genes. The overall GC content was 37.34%. Phylogenetic analysis showed thatH. minorwas closely related toHemerocallis citrinaof the same genus.

For the screening of novel toxic-element-free and biocompatible electrochemiluminophores, electrochemiluminescence (ECL) of multinary nanocrystals (NCs) was investigated for the first time with Zn Ag In S (ZAIS) NCs as model. Aqueous soluble ZAIS NCs could bring out efficient reductive-oxidation ECL with tri-n-propylamine as coreactant, while coating the ZAIS NCs with a ZnS shell could reduce the surface defects of ZAIS NCs, and enable 6.7-fold enhanced ECL of ZAIS/ZnS NCs as compared to ZAIS NCs. ECL of ZAIS/ZnS NCs was about 4.2-fold that of ternary CuInS2/ZnS NCs, spectrally similar to that of Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) with maximum emission around 605 nm, and favorable for less electrochemical interference with a lowered triggering potential (similar to 0.95 V) than that of Ru(bpy)(3)(2+). An ultrasensitive ECL microRNA sensor was fabricated with ZAIS/ZnS NCs as tags, which could sensitively and selectively determine microRNA-141 with a wide linearity range from 0.1 fmol/L to 20 pmol/L and a low limit of detection at 50 amol/L (S/N = 3). Multinary NCs might provide a promising alternative to the traditional binary NCs for both electrochemiluminophore screening and NC ECL modulating.
