This paper presents the performance of a Chinese-English cross-language information retrieval (CLIR) system, which is equipped with topic-based pseudo relevance feedback. The web-based workflow simulates the real multilingual retrieval environment, and the feedback mechanism improves retrieval results automatically without putting excessive burden on users.

Classify the sports events by the maximal oxygen uptake (MaxO_2) and the maximal muscular voluntary contraction (MVC). Collect the radial pulse wave of different sports events and discuss the pulse waveform and characteristic parameters. Radial pulse waveform on 304 subjects was collected, by using PowerLab and its bundled software LabChart 7,developed by ADInstrument. Normalize each radial pulse waveform and let the waveform cycle and amplitude distribute in the range of 0-100. Analyze the relative time of the maximum point Tm, the abscissa X and ordinate Y of dicrotic notch, the pulse waveform area K and the pulse wave age index SDPTG. The pulse waveform changing trend of MVC (<50%) group and MVC (>50%) group are different while the sports have the same Max02. And the pulse waveform changing trend of MaxO_2 (<40%) group, MaxO_2 (40%-70%) group and MaxO_2 (>70%) group are as well as different while the sports have the same MVC.

In this work, a novel method based on ultrasonic-assisted nebulization extraction coupled with solid phase extraction (UANE-SPE) and determined by high performance liquid chromatography was developed for the determination of triterpenoids in root of Euphorbia pekinensis Rupr. The experimental conditions for the UANE-SPE, such as type of extraction solvent, sample amount, type and amount of sorbent, extraction time and volume of the elution solvent, were examined and optimized. The method was successfully applied to determine euphol and tirucallol in the dried root of E. pekinensis Rupr. The recoveries of the analytes were in the range of 89.1-102.0 %. The limits of detection were 12 mu g g(-1) for tirucallol and 10 mu g g(-1) for euphol. The extraction yields obtained by the proposed method are higher than those obtained by the conventional extraction methods, such as reflux and ultrasonic-assisted extraction. Compared with the traditional methods, the proposed method can reduce the consumption of the labor, shorten the sample preparation time and increase the efficiencies in the extraction of active constituents from plant materials.

Electronic image stabilization (EIS) technology is an important research area of video processing and computer vision. This paper presented a set of fast and parallel EIS algorithms. Firstly, this paper proposed a fast local motion vector (LMV) estimation algorithm based on the FAST feature to solve the problem that the traditional algorithm is too complex. Secondly, a parallel global motion vector (GMV) algorithm based on image division is designed, which computes every LMV simultaneously, and then estimates the GMV by all LMVs. Finally, based on the proposed algorithm, an EIS systems based on BF609 dual-core DSP processor is designed and implemented. Experiment results show that the algorithm and system presented in this thesis can effectively stabilize jittery video and achieve high real-time performance. When dealing with PAL standard video, the total time cost is less than 40ms.

BackgroundElectrochemical oxidation has attracted wide attention in wastewater treatment because of its strong oxidation performance and ease of control. This work investigated the feasibility of electrochemical treatment using a Ti/RuO2-IrO2 anode as an advanced treatment of coking wastewater. The influential operating factors including current density (9.6-108.2mAcm(-2)) and electrode gap (0.5-2.5cm) were evaluated. ResultsThe current density and electrodes gap had significant effects on COD and NH4+-N removal and the energy consumption. The degradation of COD and NH4+-N followed pseudo-first-order kinetics. In most experiments, high levels of NH4+-N removal (NH4+-N removal ratio>95%) was achieved along with moderate mineralization (COD removal ratio: 60-80%). COD (178.0-285.0mgL(-1)) and NH4+-N (55.0-76.0mgL(-1)) were degraded by 62% and 96%, respectively, at the optimum conditions (electrode gap: 0.5cm, current density: 15.6mAcm(-2)) after 60min treatment. Under this optimal condition, the corresponding energy consumption was 8.60 kWh m(-3) for effluent meeting the discharge standards. Furthermore, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis indicated that this technique could be employed to eliminate bio-refractory and toxic compounds such as phenanthrene, indole, quinoline and pyrimidine in coking wastewater. ConclusionTi/RuO2-IrO2 anode systems were confirmed to be effective in advanced treatment of biologically pretreated coking wastewater. (c) 2012 Society of Chemical Industry
