The Chinese sturgeon (Acipenser sinensis) is a critically endangered, large migratory fish that serves as a vital indicator of ecological status of marine andriver environments. Conservation efforts for Chinese sturgeon primarily focus on freshwaterrearing, potentially leading to smaller adult sizes and higherdisease incidence due to limited exposure to marine environments. Thus, it is imperative to study the behavioural characteristics and marine life history of artificially reared populations in seawater environments. In this study, acoustic telemetry technology was employed to investigate the behaviour of the Chinese sturgeon. We deployed an acoustic array at a nearshore-fenced marine farm on Bailong Island and conducted a one-year (december 2020-december 2021) tracking of ten acoustic-tagged fish, comprising five adults and five juveniles. We generateddistribution heat maps and analyseddisplacement during typhoons and tidal events to differentiate activity levels. Annual distribution revealed areas of distinct increaseddensity, with adults displaying a denserdistribution compared to the more scattered pattern observed in juveniles. rhythmic behaviour in response to tidal cycles was observed. during typhoon periods, individuals exhibitedreduced activity levels but increased concentration, with no significant diurnal behavioral variations. These age-specific and environmentally responsive habitat preferences provide valuable supplementary insights into the species' life history and potential conservation strategies.

The efficient use of biomass and the treatment of dye-contaminated wastewater are urgent issues. In this study, a novel mesoporous lignin-based composite aerogel (SL/CMX/AM) is synthesized via a chemical cross-linking/freeze-drying method, and its structure was characterized by SEM, FI-Tr, and BET. The results showed that the structure of aerogel was mesoporous with dimensions ranging from 10 to 50 nm. The mesoporous lignin-based composite aerogels were further applied for the adsorption of dyes. The results revealed that the optimal purifying conditions were as follows: the pH of MB solution was 11, the mass of the aerogel was 0.0100 g, the concentration was 200 mg g-1, the adsorption time was 720 min, and the adsorption temperature was 313.15 K, producing the highest adsorption capacity of 39.80 mg g-1. The adsorption mechanism was discussed. The adsorption process followed the pseudo-second-order model and was fitted to the Langmuir isotherm model. The thermodynamic parameters indicated that the adsorption of dyes onto the investigated material was an endothermic and spontaneous reaction at 293.15-313.15 K. Overall, this work guides the preparation of mesoporous lignin-based composite aerogels and their potential application in addressing dye-contaminated wastewater problems.

Spin-orbit interaction(SOI)can be introduced by the proximity effect to modulate the electronic properties of graphene-based *** this work,we stack trilayer WSe_(2) on Bernal tetralayer graphene to investigate the influence of SOI on the anomalous Hall effect(AHE).In this structurally asymmetric device,by comparing the magnitude of AHE at positive and negative displacement fields,we find that AHE is strongly enhanced by bringing electrons in proximity to the WSe_(2) ***,the enhanced AHE signal persists up to 80 K,providing important routes for topological device applications at high temperatures.

Satellite communications (SATCOM) are essential parts of future wireless networks and are moving towards standardization in 6G. Low Earth Orbit (LEO) SATCOM show significant performance gain in global wireless access services, due to their minor path loss and short propagation delay, compared with other SATCOM counterparts. A quality of service (QoS)-aware precoding design is presented in this work to enhance the performance of massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) LEO SATCOM. In particular, we set up a multi-objective optimization problem to balance the system energy efficiency (EE) and the percentage of users achieving their QoS requirements. An efficient algorithm is developed for obtaining the precoding vectors. Numerical results show that the proposed algorithm leads to a larger percentage of users achieving their QoS requirements and brings improvements in EE performance, compared with conventional approaches.
