due to the increased knowledge of nutrients and functional ingredients for their positive effects on health, people are tending to choose healthy food products including the snacks rich in these nutrients and ingredients. Healthy meal replacement products, which are calorie-controlled, nutritionally-balanced or/and functionally-fortified "meals," are another food product that meets people's health needs. Novel processing technologies enable the production of new products meeting the expectations of consumers. Among these technologies, freeze drying based processing technologies are especially suitable for producing products containing abundant nutrients and functional ingredients due to the drying environment with lower temperature and oxygen content. In this paper, the characteristics of freeze drying and the novel processing technologies based on freeze drying applied to produce healthy snacks and meal replacement products are critically reviewed, the new freeze dried healthy snacks and meal replacement products enriched with special nutrition and function are also discussed.

Image-based spatial transcriptomic sequencing technologies have enabled the measurement of gene expression at single-cell resolution, but with a limited number of genes. Current computational approaches attempt to overcome these limitations by imputing missing genes, but face challenges regarding prediction accuracy and identification of cell populations due to the neglect of gene-gene relationships. In this context, we present stImpute, a method to impute spatial transcriptomics according to reference scrNA-seq data based on the gene network constructed from the protein language model ESM-2. Specifically, stImpute employs an autoencoder to create gene expression embeddings for both spatial transcriptomics and scrNA-seq data, which are used to identify the nearest neighboring cells between scrNA-seq and spatial transcriptomics datasets. According to the neighbored cells, the gene expressions of spatial transcriptomics cells are imputed through a graph neural network, where nodes are genes, and edges are based on cosine similarity between the ESM-2 embeddings of the gene-encoding proteins. The gene prediction uncertainty is further measured through a deep learning model. stImpute was shown to consistently outperform state-of-the-art methods across multiple datasets concerning imputation and clustering. stImpute also demonstrates robustness in producing consistent results that are insensitive to model parameters. stImpute imputes missing genes in spatial transcriptomics using scrNA-seq data and a gene network constructed from the protein language model ESM-2, achieving high accuracy androbust clustering through a graph neural network anddeep learning based uncertainty measurement.

driving is the most complex human-computer interaction for many individuals. The user experience (UX) and usability of driving are key issues in determining driving safety and user acceptance. Therefore several studies on both issues have been performed toward formulating beneficial driver-vehicle interactions and for future intelligent vehicles and autonomous environments. To provide an insight into these studies, this present study conducts bibliometric analyses to obtain information about when and where the research was conducted by whom and how mainstream content has evolved over the years. BibExcel and CiteSpace were utilized for the performance and co-word network analyses. A total of 2498 documents from 2000- 2019 in the field were filtered from the "Core Set" of Web of Science (WoS) for quantitative analysis. This study offers researchers a comprehensive understanding of UX and usability of driving studies in the last decades andresearch directions for the future.

Sorting specific cells from heterogeneous samples is important forresearch and clinical applications. In this work, a novel label-free cell sorting method is presented that integrates deep learning image recognition with microfluidic manipulation to differentiate cells based on morphology. Using an Active-Matrix digital Microfluidics (AM-dMF) platform, the YOLOv8 object detection model ensures precise droplet classification, and the Safe Interval Path Planning algorithm manages multi-target, collision-free droplet path planning. Simulations and experiments revealed that detection model precision, concentration ratios, and sorting cycles significantly affect recovery rates and purity. With HeLa cells and polystyrene beads as samples, the method achieved 98.5% sorting precision, 96.49% purity, and an 80% recovery over three cycles. After a series of experimental validations, this method can also be used to sort HeLa cells from red blood cells, cancer cells from white blood cells (represented by HeLa and Jurkat cells), anddifferentiate white blood cell subtypes (represented by HL-60 cells and Jurkat cells). Cells sorted using this method can be lyseddirectly on chip within their hosting droplets, ensuring minimal sample loss and suitability fordownstream bioanalysis. This innovative AM-dMF cell sorting technique holds significant potential to advance diagnostics, therapeutics, and fundamental research in cell biology.
