Study on driving safety of vehicle-bridge interaction system based on ultra-high-dimensional point-selected extremum methods

The driving safety indexes involve the geometric nonlinear contact relationship of the wheel and rail and the high-frequency vibration of the wheel-set. The calculation of their probability characteristic parameters requires very precise selection of random excitation samples. Track irregularity is an essential external excitation force in the vehicle-bridge interaction system (VBIS). Besides, many random phase angles must be considered when using the harmonic superposition method to simulate VBIS, leading to the ultra-high-dimensional random variables problem. Thus, this paper proposes a square power point method and a pseudo-random sequence (Sobol sequence) based on a number theoretic approach to model ultra-high dimensional random variables accurately. This strategy reduces the deviation between the representative track irregularity samples (TIS) and can be applied to fields of strongly nonlinear and high-frequency vibration. Then, by increasing the number of representative TIS, the deviation between response samples caused by non-linear factors can be significantly reduced. Finally, this paper proposes a threshold method for driving safety indexes that determines the service life of bridges, which can quickly obtain the threshold of its extreme value distribution through the cumulative distribution function, and establish the relationship between the threshold and the number of trains travelled. The above theories are verified by calculation examples, and some engineering suggestions are obtained.

Malnutrition substantially contributes to adverse clinical outcomes. However, no national survey has been conducted to characterize its epidemiology in hospital settings in china. We conducted the china Nutrition Fundamental Data 2020 project among a multistage stratified cluster sample of adult inpatients from 291 study sites across 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities(except for Hong Kong,Macao, Taiwan Province, and the Xizang Autonomous Region, please see MATERIALS AND METHODS for details of the causes) of china to generate reliable data on the prevalence of malnutrition and explore the associated risk factors. We collected information on participants' sociodemographic characteristics, physical examinations, and laboratory test results. Malnutrition was defined according to the Global Leadership Initiative on Malnutrition(GLIM) criteria. The standardized prevalence of malnutrition was calculated, and factors associated with malnutrition were examined using logistic regression analyses. We included 54,652 individuals with seven systemic diseases who completed all the survey documents in the final analysis. The overall prevalence of malnutrition was 12.5%, representing 7.6 million adult inpatients in china. The prevalence of malnutrition was higher in men, individuals aged ≥60 years, residents of central and western regions, people from lower economic areas, and those with lower education levels than in women, individuals aged <60 years, residents of eastern regions, individuals from higher economic areas, and those with higher education levels. Patients with higher disease severity scores, infectious diseases, and neoplasms had a higher tendency for malnutrition than those without such conditions. UMPA: Unified multi-modal prompt with adapter for vision-language models

Large-scale multi-modal pretraining model, such as CLIP, has shown remarkable generalization in vision-language tasks. However, the transfer of large models to downstream tasks requires large-scale computing resources, so adapter is proposed to realize fine-tuning for downstream tasks. As input text, prompt can guide CLIP learn the correspondence between images and texts when performing specific tasks. The selection of prompt template is very sensitive. In this paper, we propose Unified Multi-modal Prompt with Adapter For vision-language models (UMPA) based on CLIP, for parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT). Learnable prompt design can improve the adaption ability of model. Adapter can realize lightweight model fine-tuning. With applying learnable prompt and adapter both on vision and language branches while the entire pre-trained parameters freeze, the model improve alignment between the vision and language representations. The model can learn separate visual representations across different stages to extract stage-wise feature relationships progressively, achieve comprehensive learning of rich visual information. Considering the additional learning modules, we apply image attention masking to prevent overfitting in downstream tasks. Experiments and extensive ablation studies on various visual classification tasks demonstrate the effectiveness and strong few-shot generalization ability of our approach.

The aim of the study is to compare the agronomic characteristics, crop quality, water use efficiency (WUE), and fertilizer use efficiency (FUE) of tomato (Lycopersicon esculintum Mill.) between drip fertigation (DI) and negative-pressure fertigation (NPI). Four treatments were evaluated in a greenhouse plot experiment for their effects on soil moisture and soil available nitrogen and plant photosynthetic, nitrogen uptake, fruit quality, yield, irrigation water use efficiency (WUEi), and FUE: (1) NPI fertigation with no nitrogen fertilization (NPI-F-0.00);(2) NPI fertigation with 75% conventional fertilization (NPI-F-0.75);(3) DI fertigation with no nitrogen fertilization (DI-F-0.00);and (4) DI fertigation with 100% conventional fertilization (DI-F-1.00). Compared with those under NPI fertigation, the sugar-acid ratio (30%), vitamin C content (34%), soluble solids content (20%), and nitrate concentration (34%) of tomato fruits under DI fertigation decreased. In addition, the WUE across treatments significantly decreased in the order of NPI-F-0.75 > NPI-F-0.00 > DI-F-1.00 > DI-F-0.00;notably, compared with NPI, water consumption increased twofold-fold, and WUE decreased by 47% under DI. The apparent recovery efficiency of applied nitrogen, partial factor productivity from applied nitrogen, and agronomic efficiency of applied nitrogen under NPI-F-0.75 were greater than those under DI-F-1.00. Both DI and NPI were able to maintain a relatively high tomato yield, but NPI performed slightly better. The yield percentage increase from the soil fertility contribution under NPI and DI was greater than 90%. Compared with DI fertigation, NPI fertigation reduced the amount of fertilizer needed without reducing yield or fruit quality and improved WUE and FUE, resulting in better overall use of soil nutrients by tomato plants.

Catalytic Aqueous Phase Conversion of Cellulose to Ethanol over Multifunctional Pt/WO X /SiO2 Catalysts

Cellulosic ethanol is a pivotal biofuel, and its chemocatalytic production from lignocellulosic biomass is crucial for addressing global energy challenges. In this study, a series of Pt-loaded catalysts were developed by sequentially loading varying weight percentages (wt %) of Pt and W onto SiO2 carriers using the impregnation method. The catalysts were comprehensively characterized through X-ray diffraction (XRD), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and Raman spectroscopy to analyze the metal dispersion and active oxidation states on the SiO2 support. Under hydrothermal conditions (240 degrees C and 4 MPa H2), cellulose was directly converted to ethanol in the aqueous phase, achieving an ethanol yield of 37.5 C%. The catalysts demonstrated excellent stability, maintaining high activity over at least five consecutive reaction cycles. Notably, the WO3 component played a key role in facilitating C-C bond cleavage and hydrolyzing cellulose into glucose and ethanal intermediates. These intermediates were swiftly transferred to the Pt active sites, further promoting the formation of ethylene glycol. Among the catalysts, 3%Pt-15%WO3/SiO2 exhibited optimal performance due to its well-balanced ratios of Pt0 and Pt2+, which enabled selective C-O bond activation and significantly enhanced ethanol production.

Study on the Evolution Mechanism of the Butterfly-Shaped Plastic Zone in Surrounding Rocks of an Underlying Roadway

The mining of the working face has a pronounced influence on the floor roadway, resulting in the intensification of deformation of the surrounding rock of the roadway and posing a threat to production safety. To clarify the failure mechanism of the surrounding rock of the dynamic pressure roadway and to understand the development pattern of the plastic zone shape, in this paper, by integrating the stress distribution law of the floor during the mining process of the working face, a mechanical model of the surrounding rock of the floor dynamic pressure roadway is established. An analytical solution for the plastic zone shape of the surrounding rock of the dynamic pressure roadway is proposed and verified through a comparison between analytical calculations and numerical simulation (using FLAC(3D) 7.0 software). The results indicate the following: (1) when the horizontal distance between the working face and the roadway exceeds 35 m, no obvious changes are observed in the development pattern of the plastic zone of the surrounding rock of the roadway;(2) when the horizontal distance is less than 35 m, the rate of change in the maximum value of f increases from 0.02 MPa/m to 0.205 MPa/m as the vertical distance decreases, and the beta value increases from 0.09 degrees/m to 0.79 degrees/m. The maximum development depth increases, the butterfly leaf of the plastic zone deflects towards the working face direction, and the shape gradually transforms from a "circular" shape to a "butterfly" shape. (3) The morphological characteristics of the plastic zone obtained by the analytical algorithm are highly consistent with those obtained by the numerical simulation method, suggesting that the analytical algorithm possesses certain validity. (4) There exist certain errors between the analytical method and the numerical simulation results, and they increase with the increase in the vertical distance (the error range is 19.4%similar to 54.9%), but they can be disregarded within the r
