Aiming at the problems of machining redundancy and rough process intersection caused by the existing single-process machining CNC programming method, a CNC programming technology based on process fusion is proposed after analyzing the polygon clipping algorithm for machining path optimization. Firstly, the geometric characteristics of the process are analyzed, and the actual machining problem is transformed into a polygon clipping problem, thus establishing a mathematical model to solve it. Secondly, a new data structure and polygon clipping algorithm are designed to speed up problem solving. Finally, the process sequence is fused to generate a more efficient and reliable process execution flow. Through simulation experiments, the CNC programming technology based on process fusion is compared with the traditional CNC programming technology, and has significant advantages in improving machining efficiency and quality. © 2023 IEEE.

With the rapid development of face forgery techniques, a large number of face synthesis videos are widely spread on the Internet, which threatens the security and trustworthiness of digital content online. It is necessary to develop face forgery detection methods. Many existing methods use only 2D CNNs to detect video frames. There are few 3D networks designed for face forgery detection. In this work, we propose to use 3D CNN for video-level face forgery detection and add a lightweight attention module to construct a 3D attention network. The network extracts both spatial and temporal features. The attention maps generated by the attention module focus on several forged regions of the fake face. To avoid the discrepancy of different regions affecting the detection results, a global attention pool is designed to replace the global average pool. The experiments implemented on FaceForensics++ show that our model achieves great accuracy and exceeds most existing methods. Cross-dataset evaluation implemented on Celeb-DF verifies that our model has strong transferability and generalization ability. © 2023 IEEE.

Virtual reality (VR) technology has emerged as a transformative tool in healthcare, revolutionizing the way we monitor, manage, and enhance patient well-being. This abstract provides an overview of the potential and significance of using VR in health monitoring and its impact on advanced healthcare solutions for the patients. Through Bibliometric analysis, the last 10 years of data has been analyzed in this paper which depicts that the use of VR in healthcare and health monitoring has been consistently growing in the field of medical. The positive and negative effects of VR on user health have been discussed in this paper. The finding of this study shedding light on the use of virtual reality in the medical practice. © 2023 IEEE.

In the recent development of computer graphics and avatar generation, the synthesis of attractive faces and bodies has gained interest. In cognitive psychology, it is known that the attractiveness of the whole face and facial parts changes with the duration of exposure. Also, facial expressions influence the attractiveness of the whole face and facial parts. In the present study, we investigated how attractiveness judgments for whole faces and parts with facial expressions would change with exposure time. Participants rated the attractiveness of whole faces and facial parts. The faces and face parts expressed either smiling, angry, or neutral expressions. The face stimuli were presented for either 20 ms or 1000 ms. The results showed that the attractiveness ratings of the eyes, mouth, and whole face were higher with the shorter exposure duration. However, the nose became more attractive with the longer exposure. Smiling faces tended to be rated as more attractive and angry faces as less attractive. However, this pattern did not always hold for facial parts. The present results have implications not only for understanding attractiveness judgments in humans, but also for computer graphics and avatar generation in the fields of artificial intelligence and computer vision. © 2023 IEEE.

Parametric spline curves offer flexibility, smoothness and ability to represent complex shapes in various fields of computer graphics and other related fields. These mathematical curves are popularly used for interpolation or approximation purposes only. This paper claims that parametric spline curve representation can be modelled to be used for cryptographic operations or hash function protocols as it satisfies all four desirable properties of a hash function. Traditional hash function algorithms rely on the mathematical properties of certain groups, such as prime fields or elliptic curves, to securely exchange keys between parties. They are difficult to implement and require high computational power. In contrast parametric spline curve-based hash functions are easy to implement and the level of security offered by them can be scaled up or down by manipulating curve parameters. © 2023 IEEE.

This article reviews the issues and challenges of digital video composition to identify the problem in educational video production. The review of related literature discussed four components that lead to the issues and challenges. The discussed components are the insufficient Teaching and Learning (T&L) quality approach in educational videos, recommendation of visual aesthetics application, the video length proxy, and the scant publications on innovative self-directed learning tools, experimental investigation, and engagement measurement which contribute to the issues and challenges in the research study. Therefore, from the review of issues and challenges literature, the paper identifies four problems in educational video production such as the importance of T&L instruments in production value for an educational video, the absence of curiosity on tools and methodological aspects in video production, the pedagogy approach may not be the right concept embedded in an educational video, and the need to provide more control on how learners obtain the information. Hence the paper summarized the application of interactivity as one of the elements in digital video compositing that may create a new perspective on the educational video. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Digital video is more prevalent nowadays because of more usage of video data among users. The short and catchy videos among social media attract the attention of people. On the same time, the lengthy videos are found to be left without being fully watched. So, video captioning overcomes this issue by automatically generating captions for a video. The process of generating meaningful natural language sentences for the corresponding scenes in the video is called video captioning. Video captioning involves two steps, namely, feature extraction and caption generation. Here, the pre-trained CNN such as InceptionV3 and VGG16 were used for extracting the features from the video. The caption generation is done through LSTM with the help of extracted features. The relevant captions are achieved using LSTM with the help of word embeddings. © 2023 IEEE.
