In this paper, we present a method to speed up video encoding of GPU rendered3d scenes, which is particularly suited for the efficient and low-delay encoding of 3d game output as a video stream. The main idea of our approach is to calculate motion vectors directly from the 3d scene information usedduring rendering of the scene. This allows the omission of the computationally expensive motion estimation search algorithms found in most of today's video encoders. The presented method intercepts the graphics commands during runtime of 3dcomputer games to capture the required projection information without requiring any modification of the game executable. We demonstrate that this approach is applicable to games based on Linux/OpenGL as well as Windows/directX. In experimental results we show an acceleration of video encoding performance of approximately 25% with almost no degradation in image quality.

They can simply use the Web in their own home to learn about this information virtually. This paper proposes a method of interactive virtual camera control in 3d character animation authoring. This method allows a novice user to interactively create a 3d character animation by recommending appropriate distance and orientation for a virtual camera based on the Grammar of the Film Language. We conducted an experimental evaluation in which 18 university students created3d character animations using the digital Movie director (dMd) system with this method. The results showed improvement in the efficiency of setting the virtual camera, as well as in overall creation efficiency. Time spent writing dialogue increased, suggesting more time was available for creative thinking. The value of recall and precision were 0.77 and 0.84, respectively, for users who employed virtual camera settings covered by the method. Moreover, the ratio of shots that violated the Grammar decreased.

Virtual reality technology has a varied number of purposes ranging from entertainment purposes to training simulations for safety critical operations. despite the increasing popularity in virtual reality, several limitations still exist that limit the potentials of the technology to achieve sustainable user immersion. This paper discusses the problems facing the virtual reality medium, and ways in which they can be solved. Two major cases of industry-level uses of the technology are highlighted in order to better demonstrate the themes presented from this paper's research. This paper emphasizes the problems facing simulation environments in virtual reality experiences today, and concludes by explaining how they can be treated in the future.
