This paper presents an original algorithm for the simulation of seismic waves in models containing geological formations with complex properties such as anisotropy, attenuation, and small-scale inhomogeneities. Each of these structures requires special treatment: either small grid steps or computationally intense models and algorithms. These formations typically take as little as 25% of the model; thus computationally expensive approaches are only used locally, while more efficient algorithms are applied elsewhere. The designed hybrid algorithm is heterogeneous; the main focus of this research is the development of an efficient parallel implementation via domain decomposition.

An off the grid direction-of-arrival estimation of the signals originating from quasi static targets is suggested in this paper using compressive sensing based sparse reconstruction of multiple time snapshot MFOCUSS algorithm. simulation outcomes show that multi-snapshot restoration of the target location gives more accurate results in terms of root-mean-square error with respect to single snapshot instance.

This paper considers multi-robot search problems where a group of robots must discover and allocate themselves to targets. To solve this problem, we embed the robot with an algorithm called the Neighborhood with the Guaranteed Convergence Particle Swarm Optimization (N-GCPSO). This study considers the problem in a simulation environment. To reduce collision between robots, we integrate the N-GCPSO algorithm with a spatial particle extension algorithm. simulation results show that the integration of N-GCPSO with a spatial partial extension algorithm increases the effectiveness of N-GCPSO by reducing the number of collisions between robots without reducing its performance in discovering and allocating targets.

In heterogeneous network, it is likely that many mobile users send access requests at the same time. To avoid network congestion and provide users with good service experience, a novel joint group call admission control (JGCAC) algorithm is proposed. This algorithm includes two procedures: Firstly, the number of users allocated to each network is determined according to load balancing policy. Secondly, based on the evaluation values about network conditions and user requests, suitable users are admitted to each network by extended Hungary algorithm. simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm can maintain load balancing among networks, reduce dropping rate and achieve a better user satisfaction.

Although static sensor nodes have low computation and communication capabilities,they have specific properties,and can acquire stable neighboring nodes' information,which can be used for detection of anomalies in networking and behaviors of the neighbor nodes,thus providing security for Wireless sensor *** many attacks against sensor networks,the first step for an attacker is to impersonate itself as a legitimate node within the *** make a sensor node capable of detecting an intruder,a simple dynamic statistical model of the neighboring nodes is needed to build,together with a low-complexity detection algorithm to monitor received packet power levels.A detection algorithm based on security scheme for Wireless sensor networks is introduced in this paper.

This paper presents a real-time performance evaluation of Neyman-Pearson (NP) criteria based energy detection algorithm for spectrum sensing in cognitive radio. We have implemented the energy detection algorithm on a Wireless Open-Access Research Platform (WARP). The algorithm is validated using bursts of QPSK signal. Each burst has four frames with 1024 samples. For validation, in each burst, only one frame is occupied with the signal. We have compared the implementation results with algorithm simulation results. The experimental results reveal that the algorithm can detect signal up to SNR of -4dB, and -7dB in real time and simulation respectively with the probability of detection and probability of false alarm as 0.9 and 0.1 respectively. The detection time for performing the sensing operation in WARP board is evaluated as 4.7μSec.

This paper presents a novel algorithm for two-dimensional (2-D) direction finding based on L-shaped arrays. Firstly, by using the array geometries, four covariance matrices are obtained. Secondly, a particular big matrix constructed by the four covariance matrices is used to estimate the signal subspace. Finally, the direction of arriving angles can be achieved by 2-D ESPRIT algorithm. simulation results confirm that the proposed method, compared with the conventional methods, has higher estimation accuracy, low computation cost.

This article presents a fully distributed energy management solution for grid-connected prosumers having photovoltaic (PV) system and distributed generators (DG). The prosumers try to supply their energy demands with the locally available resources while excess energy is shared with the utility grid. Moreover, the prosumers buy the electric power from the grid in case of deficiency. The optimization problem is modeled as a social welfare maximization scheme based on consensus protocol. The proposed approach is fully distributed and requires only information about local power mismatch and incremental cost from the adjacent neighborhood. To validate the proposed algorithm simulation is performed on a network of five prosumers for 24 hours of data of forecasted load and PV energy. Furthermore, a convergence speed analysis and scalability test of the proposed algorithm is also performed to justify its effectiveness for practical systems.

In order to apply kaleidoscope patterns into textiles or garments, several methods are studied in this paper. Based on Java language, fractal algorithms, M set algorithm and Julia set algorithm are used to simulate kaleidoscope patterns. The simulation results show that the kaleidoscope patterns programed can be used in textile and clothing. It provides users with more choice.
