Although static sensor nodes have low computation and communication capabilities, they have specific properties, and can acquire stable neighboring nodes' information, which can be used for detection of anomalies in networking and behaviors of the neighbor nodes, thus providing security for Wireless sensor networks. In many attacks against sensor networks, the first step for an attacker is to impersonate itself as a legitimate node within the network. To make a sensor node capable of detecting an intruder, a simple dynamic statistical model of the neighboring nodes is needed to build, together with a low-complexity detection algorithm to monitor received packet power levels. This paper presents a novel algorithm for two-dimensional (2-D) direction finding based on L-shaped arrays. Firstly, by using the array geometries, four covariance matrices are obtained. Secondly, a particular big matrix constructed by the four covariance matrices is used to estimate the signal subspace. Finally, the direction of arriving angles can be achieved by 2-D ESPRIT algorithm. simulation results confirm that the proposed method, compared with the conventional methods, has higher estimation accuracy, low computation cost.

This paper deals with the closed loop system called Adaptive time delay estimation (ATDE) for estimating time delay between two signals is presented. The simulation of this algorithm accomplished by using MathCAD package are carried out. The technique that we will present this work is based on the error between two samples of the incoming signal the difference between the delayed signal and the reference signal passed through a known delay as performance index for the estimator. In this paper, we study the performance of the MUltiple SIgnal Classification (MUSIC) direction-of-arrival (DoA) estimation algorithm in a clustered channel model. We examine the effect of angular spread on the estimation accuracy of the MUSIC algorithm. simulation result shows that the performance of the MUSIC algorithm degrades as the angular spread increases. Furthermore, an experimental study is performed in an anechoic chamber to evaluate the performance of DoA estimation using a single reconfigurable antenna element known as Composite Right/Left Handed (CRLH) Leaky-Wave (LW) antenna that offers a high level of directivity with electronically controllable radiation patterns. Experimental results show that the DoA estimation technique succeeded in estimating the DoA using a single antenna element.

In this paper we present a path-based multicast routing algorithm for wormhole routed 2D mesh network. Next we present some properties and the time complexity of the new algorithm. Analysis of the algorithm shows that it significantly reduces the multicast time (by about 50% in 2D mesh) and slightly decreases (by 15% in 2D mesh) the multicast traffic over LIN's Hamiltonian path-based algorithm.

In order to further improve the overall efficiency of retrieval system, it proposes a method of inverted index based on block organizing technology. The specific studying process is as follows. Firstly, retrieval performance model of inverted index is generated based on data statistics, and then analyze the organizational strategy of inverted file block index, finally, retrieval performance model is verified through simulation experiment. The result shows that the method of inverted file block organization can get higher algorithm efficiency under the condition of less cycle numbers in the search algorithm, and also reduce the execution time of search algorithm significantly, which can verify the feasibility of inverted file block index method.

More collaborative use of visualizations is taking place in the classrooms due to the introduction of pair programming and collaborative learning as teaching and learning methods. This introduces new challenges to the visualization tools, and thus, research and theory to support the development of collaborative visualization tools is needed. We present an empirical study in which the learning outcomes of students were compared when students were learning in collaboration and using materials which contained visualizations on different, engagement levels. Results indicate that the level of engagement has an effect on students learning results although the difference is not statistically significant. Especially students without previous knowledge seem to gain more from using visualizations on higher engagement level.

In this paper, the widely used 2D-mesh as a NoC topology is studied, and the important factors influencing the performance of the system-power consumption and delay are modeled. Information fusion among multi-section sampled signals acquired by several measurements is helpful to frequency estimation, especially under the condition of low SNR and short duration of measured frequency. To improve precision of frequency estimation for multi-section sampled signals and extend applicable range of existing methods, a fusion method of multi-section equal-length signals with known frequency-shift is proposed. In the algorithm, some techniques such as parameter matrix for frequency-domain analysis, phase-difference compensating factor matrix, search frequency array and so on are provided to solve problems such as unequal measured frequencies, phase discontinuity among different section signals and so on. Four properties are given as mathematical justification of the method. Simulated experiments with different application environment parameters are carried out. They show that the algorithm is true of any type of multi-section equal-length signals with known frequency-shift. It has good noise immunity and its precision of frequency estimation is much higher than that of existing methods.

Current development status and future development trend of MEMS inertial sensors are introduced in this paper firstly. A micro Strap-down Inertial Navigation System (SINS) with 3-axis micro accelerometer and 3-axis MEMS gyro is designed, and the SINS algorithm is simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK. The simulation model of the Micro-inertial navigation system is established, and algorithm block diagram is also given, including the quaternion and flight parameter updating, the influence of the sensors' performance for the SINS accuracy is also analyzed. The input data of algorithm simulation platform would be all or partial output from the real MEMS inertial sensors or the projectile body in specific motion. The simulation results show that the algorithm is not only valid but also could be used to analyze the system function.
