The control of high-speed rocking vibration of steering wheel is very important for vehicle comfort performance. Among vibration control methods, the reasonable design of wheel alignment parameters is the most effective method. At present, the alignment parameters are obtained through quasi-static test. However, under high-speed driving conditions, the wheel alignment parameters change dynamically, which intensifies the vibration of the steering wheel. Therefore, it is more meaningful to study and control the dynamic characteristics of wheel alignment parameters. In order to analyze the dynamic characteristics of wheel alignment parameters and the problem of high-speed rocking vibration of steering wheel, the method of dynamic identification and dynamic control of alignment parameters is presented in the paper. By controlling the wheel dynamic unbalance and lateral force variations, the dynamic variation of the toe angle is significantly reduced, which reduces the vibration of the steering wheel.

The front-wheel alignment parameters of vehicle are generally decided based on some dynamic performances of suspension system or some empirical equations, however these approaches have some shortage to obtain an excellent overall vehicle performance. A design approach of front-wheel alignment parameters of mining truck is proposed based on vehicle handling and braking stability. The design variables include inclination angle, caster, camber and toe-in. The optimization objective of the minimum braking sideslip and the swing front-wheel angle is solved applying a multi-island genetic algorithm. The optimization results show that the proposed approach of front-wheel alignment parameters synchronously ensures the braking and handling stability.

PurposeTo (1) investigate the hypothesis that there is high variability in the reported methods to derive axes and joint orientations from three-dimensional (3D) bone models to (a) perform 3D knee-related leg alignment analysis and (b) define coordinate systems for the femur, tibia and leg and (2) identify underlying principles that might lead to agreement on a universal 3D leg alignment analysis *** systematic review of the literature between January 2006 and June 2024 was performed. Articles explicitly reporting methods to derive axes and joint orientations from CT-based 3D bone models for alignment parameters and/or coordinate systems of the femur, tibia and leg were included. Study characteristics and reported methods were extracted and presented as a qualitative *** total of 93 studies were included. There was high variability in the reported methods to derive axes and joint orientations from 3D bone models. Nevertheless, the reported methods could be categorized into four groups, and several underlying principles of the four groups could be identified. Furthermore, the definitions of femoral and tibial coordinate systems were most frequently based on the mechanical axis (femoral, 13/19 [68%];tibial, 13/26 [50%]) and a central medial-lateral axis (femoral, 16/19 [84%];tibial, 12/26 [46%]);no leg coordinate system was reported. Interestingly, of the included studies that reported on leg alignment parameters (76/93, 82%), only a minority reported expressing these in a complete coordinate system (25/76, 33%).ConclusionThere is high variability in 3D knee-related leg alignment analysis. Therefore, universal 3D reference values for alignment parameters cannot yet be defined, and comparison of alignment parameter values between different studies is impossible. PurposeTo reach consensus among international experts on a structured framework for standardized 3D leg alignment analysis based on 3D bone models, ensuring consistency and improving clinical *** Delphi study was performed in four rounds. Rounds 1 and 2 involved a steering and rating group that developed statements based on principles preserving the 3D complexity of anatomical structures, identified through a systematic review. These statements encompassed approaches for deriving joint centres and joint orientations, and defining coordinate systems using 3D bone models. In Rounds 3 and 4, a panel of 35 international experts, including clinicians (54%) and engineers (46%), with participants from Europe (80%), Oceania (9%), Asia (6%), and the Americas (6%), evaluated these statements. Consensus was defined as >= 80% *** 1 and 2 resulted in 31 statements to be included in the survey. Of these, 26 achieved consensus in Round 3, with the five remaining statements refined and reaching consensus in Round 4. Experts agreed on utilising all available relevant surface data to define joint centres, joint orientations, and individual femoral and tibial coordinate systems alongside a combined leg coordinate system, and adopting central 3D axes for femoral version and tibial *** international Delphi consensus study provides a structured framework for a standardized 3D leg alignment analysis based on 3D bone models. This framework aims to enhance clinical applicability for preoperative planning and execution of uni- and multiplanar correction osteotomies around the knee, reduce the methodological variability in 3D leg alignment analysis literature, and improve cross-study *** of EvidenceLevel V.

Study Design: Retrospective cohort study. Objectives: The interactions between hip osteoarthritis (OA) and spinal malalignment are poorly understood. The purpose of this study was to assess the influence of total hip arthroplasty (THA) on standing spinopelvic alignment. Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, patients undergoing THA for OA with pre-and postoperative full-body radiographs were included. Standing spinopelvic parameters were measured. Contralateral hip was graded on the Kellgren-Lawrence scale. Pre-and postoperative alignment parameters were compared by paired t-test. The severity of preoperative thoracolumbar deformity was measured using TPA. Linear regression was performed to assess the impact of preoperative TPA and changes in spinal alignment. Patients were separated into low and high TPA (<20 or >/=20 deg) and change in parameters were compared between groups by t-test. Similarly, the influence of K-L grade, age, and PI were also tested. Results: 95 patients were included (mean age 58.6 yrs, BMI 28.7 kg/m2, 48.2% F). Follow-up radiographs were performed at mean 220 days. Overall, the following significant changes were found from pre-to postoperative: SPT (14.2 vs. 16.1, P = 0.021), CL (-8.9 vs. -5.3, P = .001), TS-CL (18.2 vs. 20.5, P = .037) and SVA (42.6 vs. 32.1, P = .004). Preoperative TPA was significantly associated with the change in PI-LL, SVA, and TPA. High TPA patients significantly decreased SVA more than low TPA patients. There was no significant impact of contralateral hip OA, PI, or age on change in alignment parameters. Conclusion: Spinopelvic alignment changes after THA, evident by a reduction in SVA. Preoperative spinal sagittal deformity impacts this change. Level of evidence: III.

Introduction: Patellofemoral pain (PFP) is suggested as a precursor of patellofemoral osteoarthritis (PFOA) later in life. This hypothesis is based on shared risk factors for both diseases, such as deviating alignment parameters. In patients with PFOA, certain 2D alignment parameters and 3D shape variations are associated with the progression of PFOA. The relationship among alignment, shape, and PFP persistence remains unclear to date. Objective: To investigate the association between 2D alignment parameters, 3D bone shape variations, and PFP persistence. Methods: Questionnaire and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data from 64 patients between 14 and 40 years of age with PFP were selected from a case-control study. Participants who completed follow-up questionnaires at one or two years of follow-up were included. PFP persistence, measured using a 7-point Likert scale, was dichotomized. Structural abnormalities were scored using the MRI Osteoarthritis Knee Score (MOAKS), and alignment parameters were determined following standardized methods. The patellae were segmented from the MRI using a semi-automatic segmentation algorithm, and a 3D statistical shape model was created. Shape modes explaining at least 1% of total population variation were included. Regression analyses were performed to determine the association among baseline function (anterior knee pain scale (AKPS)), MOAKS features, alignment parameters, 3D patellar shape modes, and PFP persistence. Results: Fifty-five participants completed follow-up questionnaires and were included in the current analyses. Participants had a mean (standard deviation) age of 23.2 (6.8), and 58.2% were female. AKPS increased statistically significantly from 65.7 (10.6) at baseline to 75.9 (14.9) at follow-up. Nineteen patellar shape modes were included in the analyses, of which four showed a P-value <0.05;however, they were not statistically significant after applying Bonferroni correction. No associations were found among MOAK

In this paper, the kinematic characteristic analysis and optimization design of a minivan MacPherson-strut suspension system are performed. Design requirements of a minivan suspension system are described first, and then the design process is presented. A typical MacPherson suspension model of the minivan is conducted. Through the established model, the simulation of parallel wheel travel of the suspension system of the minivan is carried out and analyzed. After initial analysis, wheel alignment parameters especially the toe angle and camber angles need to be optimized to meet the requirements of the desired design value. The characteristic curves of wheel alignment parameters are drawn and the corresponding non-ideal characteristics are found. The optimization objective is to reduce the variation of the unreasonable alignment parameters, and the design variables are given through the sensitivity analysis. The design parameters are reasonably grouped according to different kinematic characteristics, thus, a unified objective function is established by direct weighing combination method. Finally, the established objective function is optimized and designed with neighborhood cultivation genetic algorithm. By comparing the original and optimized results, the better wheel alignment parameters are obtained and the system performances of suspension are further improved.

Compared to the thoracolumbar spine, the literature on cervical spine alignment is scarce. While a consistent number of articles have been published, few analyze the ideal surgical approaches for each type of deformity and the optimal amount of correction to achieve. This paper provides a comprehensive review of current literature on cervical spinal deformities (with or without myelopathy) and their surgical management;it is our goal to create a framework on which surgical planning can be made. A general assessment of the actually utilized parameters and correlation between the cervical and thoracolumbar spine alignment is presented. Moreover, we provide an analysis of cervical surgical approaches (anterior, posterior, or combined), techniques (laminoplasty, laminectomy and fusion, anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, corpectomy), and their indications. Finally, a complete evaluation of outcomes and postoperative health-related quality of life (HRQOL) measures based on questionnaires (NDI, VAS, SF-36, mJOA) is discussed. Several prospective studies would be useful in understanding how cervical alignment may be important in the assessment and treatment of cervical deformities with or without myelopathy. In particular, future works should concentrate on the correlation between cervical alignment parameters, disability scores, and myelopathy outcomes. We propose, via comprehensive literature review, a guide of practical key points on surgical techniques, cervical alignment, and symptom improvement goals surgeons should aim to achieve for each patient.

This paper studied the way to measure the vehicle four-wheel alignment parameters according to the theory of machine vision.A new method of obtaining the direction vector of wheel axle was proposed,and the datum pane was established to optimize the mathematical model of four-wheel alignment parameters *** experiments show that this system can gives good performance with sharp image acquisition,high ellipse detection accuracy,and high speed of alignment parameter calculation.
