In order to improve the communication rate of the cyber-physical fusion system, and at the same time guarantee the quality of system demand of each user, a CPS (Cyber-Physical Systems) communication resource allocation algorithm based on cooperative game was first proposed. The resource allocation process of the orthogonal frequency division multiple access network downlink in CPS is modeled as a cooperative game among multiple users, and the Pareto optimality among users is achieved by solving the Nash bargaining solution. Secondly, this paper studies the cooperative task assignment of communication resources for actuators in CPS execution network, and proposes a feasible task assignment method of communication resources based on K-M algorithm. Simulation experiments show that the task allocation result obtained by this method is better than that of auction method, and the algorithm running time can also meet the limit of actual demand. Finally, in consideration of the control center's need for fine control of the actuator, this paper studies the wireless resource allocation problem between a control center and the actuator, and maximizes the control effect of the actuator as the daily standard, and proposes a dynamic Joint allocation scheme of subchannels and power. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can maintain a high level of control effect even when the transmission power of the control center is small, which effectively saves the energy consumption of the control center.

This paper presents an algorithm for the allocation of on-chip FPGA Block RAMs for the implementation of Real-Time Video Processing Systems. The effectiveness of the algorithm is shown through the implementation of realistic image processing systems. The algorithm, which is based on a heuristic, seeks the most cost-effective way of allocating memory objects to the FPGA Block RAMs. The experimental results obtained, show that this algorithm generates results which are close to the theoretical optimum for most design cases.

Most developing countries are severely constrained by the size of their foreign exchange reserve necessary for the purchase on the international market of certain key items to be employed in their industries, including the export sectors that are responsible for generating the foreign exchange in the first place. The scarcity of this foreign exchange creates enormous problems for these countries. To cope with this dilemma, certain countries resort to all kinds of gambles and approaches that may not be defensible. A rational basis for the allocation of this scarce resource is described in this article. It consists primarily of two components. The first part deals with an optimal strategy for the identification of key items through a criticality assignment routine. The second relates to the algorithm for allocating foreign exchange to a pool of critical items to maximize the returns from such an allocation. The case study is Guyana, a developing country in South America.

A credible spatially explicit historical cropland dataset is the basis for accurately evaluating the impacts of anthropogenic land cover change on global changes. The credibility of the historical cropland datasets relies on both the reconstructed regional cropland area and the allocation algorithm. In the case of adopting the more reliable reconstructed historical cropland area in a given region, the credibility of the gridded cropland cover data mainly depends on the allocation algorithm, which makes a major contribution to the uncertainties of the spatial distribution of the cropland cover. In this study, a new land suitability-based gridded allocation algorithm for historical cropland cover was used to allocate the provincial cropland area into 5' x 5 ' grids in China around 1850 C.E. The algorithm was constructed using the dominant physiogeographic factors that vary from region to region, and these factors were assessed by the modern cropland cover. The main conclusions are described as follows: (1) the cultivation intensity under a 5' x 5 ' cell can be effectively indicated by the physiogeographic factors in a 0.5 degrees x 0.5 degrees unit, although the degrees of correlation showed a diverse variety with positive, negative correlation or irrelevance relationships in different regions. (2) The land suitability calculated from dominant regional physiogeographic factors could appropriately represent the cultivation intensity. The proportion of positive correlations above 0.7 between the modern cropland fraction and land suitability in China is more than 93%. (3) Employing the newly developed allocation algorithm, the 5' x 5 ' cropland fraction data in China around 1850 C.E. was generated from the reconstructed provincial cropland area. Energy community ex-post electricity allocation algorithm based on participants? preferences

With the first European Union (EU) member states enacting legislation for establishing energy communities (EC) based on the EU guidelines, the distribution system operators (DSOs) might be obliged in many countries to allocate electricity for the ECs based on a predefined distribution key. In Austria, such legislation has already become a reality. From the provided DSO data, it is only known how much electricity a participant purchased from the EC, but it is not known which participant purchased what exact amount of electricity from which peer and vice versa. To address this issue, an ex-post electricity allocation algorithm is developed based on participant preferences. Each participant can indicate a preference from which peer electricity is preferred. Knowing 'who sold how much to who' and 'who purchased how much from who' - which is the outcome of the ex-post allocation algorithm - enables applying peer-to-peer prices, empowering the ECs to increased individuality. The proposed algorithm is applied to a fictitious model EC of eight participants, four of which are equipped with a rooftop photovoltaic (PV) system. Two scenarios are investigated: one with well-distributed preferences and another with poorly distributed preferences. Based on this, the effects of differently distributed preferences on individual EC participants are assessed and discussed. It can be concluded that ex-post electricity allocation might become a powerful asset for ECs for the achievement of individual goals, despite being constrained by the original electricity allocation by the DSOs with severely limited room for individuality. This 5 year observational multicentre study conducted in the Nord Italian Transplant programme area evaluated outcomes in patients receiving kidneys from donors over 60 years allocated according to a combined clinical and histological algorithm. Low-risk donors 60–69 years without risk factors were allocated to single kidney transplant (LR-SKT) based on clinical criteria. Biopsy was performed in donors over 70 years or 60–69 years with risk factors, allocated to Single (HR-SKT) or Dual kidney transplant (HR-DKT) according to the severity of histological damage. Forty HR-DKTs, 41 HR-SKTs and 234 LR-SKTs were evaluated. Baseline differences generally reflected stratification and allocation criteria. Patient and graft (death censored) survival were 90% and 92% for HR-DKT, 85% and 89% for HR-SKT, 88% and 87% for LR-SKT. The algorithm appeared user-friendly in daily practice and was safe and efficient, as demonstrated by satisfactory outcomes in all groups at 5 years. Clinical criteria performed well in low-risk donors. The excellent outcomes observed in DKTs call for fine-tuning of cut-off scores for allocation to DKT or SKT in high-risk patients.

BACKGROUND: Despite the scarcity of donor lungs, most potential donor organs are not offered by organ lung transplantation;procurement organizations or are turned down by transplant centers because no suitable recipient is found extended criteria according to regular allocation. Although extended criteria donors (ECDs) have recently been considered by many donors;programs, the lung utilization rate remains <30% in most countries. The allocation policy of Eurotransplant for lung allocation;donor lungs that have been turned down for donor-related medical reasons by 3 centers is to attempt a rescue allocation algorithm;offer, for which centers choose the recipients themselves. At Hannover Medical School we systematically divert primary graft these organs to more stable recipients to avoid adverse transplant outcomes. We follow up on these transplants dysfunction;and compare them with those following regular allocation., outcomes METHODS: This study is an analysis of all organ offers and corresponding recipients at our center during the period from January 2010 to August 2011. RESULTS: A total of 183 lung transplantations were performed, 111 regular donor lung offers were accepted for their intended recipient, whereas a total of 72 rescue lung offers, including all extended criteria donors, were accepted for recipients selected by our center. Donor characteristics differed between the 2 groups accordingly. Median age of ECD organ donors was significantly higher than that of regular donors (46.0 [IQR 21] vs 40.0 [IQR 22] years, p = 0.02). Donor mechanical ventilation time did not differ (3.5 +/- 4.8 vs 3.0 +/- 4.0 days, p = 0.33, not statistically significant MD. Donor oxygenation ratio (PaO2:FIO2) at time of organ offer was significantly lower (398.3 +/- 110.3 vs 423.0 +/- 97.6 mm Hg, p = 0.02). Recipients of rescue allocation organs were older than regularly selected recipients (53.7 +/- 11.7 vs 46.7 +/- 15.4 years, p = 0.0003), needed a shorter time for mechanical ven

A fast bits allocation algorithm is proposed for adaptively modulated optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing multimode fiber communication system to decrease the system bit error rate caused by some orthogonal frequency division multiplexing subcarriers being located at the deep nulls in the high-frequency region of multimode fiber. Based on a lookup table scheme, the new algorithm dramatically decreases the computational complexity of the Greedy algorithm. The simulation results show that the new algorithm has the same allocation result as the Greedy algorithm, but the computational complexity is considerably lower. In addition, adaptive bits allocation can effectively reduce the system bit error rate.

This paper proposes a new allocation algorithm of indivisible goods. We consider the case when the total value of the whole goods is the same for every participant, which models allocation at divorce or inheritance. The worst participant's obtained value must be maximized. There are not good allocation algorithms for our rating scale. We show that this problem is NP-complete. Therefore we propose four types of approximation algorithms. Among the four algorithms, the raising standard algorithm has the best ratio that the algorithm outputs the optimal solution by a computer simulation.
