This paper proposes a new algorithm for optimum self-healing restoration of a smartmicrogrid operating in islanded mode of operation. The objective of the proposed algorithm is to optimize the topological structure of the islanded microgrid system (IMG) via: (1) maximizing the served load after the fault isolation;and (2) minimizing the switching operation costs. The proposed algorithm takes into consideration the system operational constraints in all operating conditions. The new algorithm accounts for droop controlled IMG special operational characteristics. The problem is formulated as a multi-objective optimization problem and solved using ant colony optimization algorithm. The proposed algorithm has been implemented in MATLAB environment and several case studies have been carried to test its effectiveness.

With the progress of construction technology, the modern buildings become more and more complicated and large-sized. It is difficult to avoid sudden and catastrophic emergency events for interior buildings. Hence, it is very important to establish an evacuation model to simulate evacuation behavior of pedestrians under real condition and make a scientific and effective evacuation plan. For handling with the problems of emergency evacuation path in buildings, an improved cellular automata model based on ant colony optimization algorithm (ACO) is proposed. The proposed model considers the neighbors moving rules of cellular automata and law of export selection rule is used as heuristic information of ant colony optimization algorithm, it reflects the behavior of personnel path choice more really. Finally, the model has been applied to simulate the whole evacuation process in a classroom. By simulating the process of pedestrian evacuation with the model, the results show that the proposed model could achieve shorter evacuation time than basic ACO, it's feasible for solving evacuation planning problem.

To cope with increasingly serious three-phase disequilibrium in distribution network, a reconfiguration model is proposed for distribution network with the optimization objective of reducing three-phase disequilibrium. First by analyzing the distribution network in topology, the distribution network reconfiguration problem is converted into a problem of constructing spanning tree of the graph, which is solved by breaking-cycle-basis method. Then by selecting the first-branch randomly and canceling the heuristic value of network, an improved ant colony optimization algorithm is proposed to solve the reconfiguration problem, which can expand the search extent and avoid search stagnation. Specific examples of verification prove that the proposed algorithm can obtain the global best solution with less computation time and higher probability compared to the conventional methods.

ant colony optimization algorithm is a kind of heuristic algorithm, which has been widely applied to solve the problem such as TSP (traveling salesman problem). This paper uses the proximity to construct the optimal search library. Based on the idea, an improved ant colony optimization algorithm is put forward. We also define the new heuristic information and the improved pheromone update rules. Thus an improved ant colony optimization algorithm is put forward that provides a better solution to the combinatorial optimization of MTSP (multiple traveling salesman problem) problem with E-mail traffic constraints.

Based on the principle of intelligent antcolonyalgorithm, and in view of the antcolonyalgorithm is slow convergence speed, easy to fall into local optimal solution, the article uses adaptive pseudo random selection rules, dynamically adjusts volatilization factor, updates the optimal route of ants pheromone, so as to improve the convergence speed of path planning and the effect of algorithm to achieve the goal of the optimal route. Fuzzy neural network (FNN) has a strong self-learning and self-tuning function, but there exists the insufficiency in selecting parameters. So antcolonyoptimization (ACO) algorithm and chaos theory are introduced into the FNN in order to propose an optimized FNN (CACOFNN) model. In the proposed CACOFNN model, a switching function is designed for the connections between neurons to transform the structure and parameters of FNN into a simple function optimization problem. The fuzzy grid partition is used to determine the optimal rules and structure of FNN. Then the chaos theory is introduced into the ACO algorithm to propose a chaotic ACO (CACO) algorithm for optimizing the initial parameters of FNN. Finally, the proposed CACOFNN model is applied to optimize the parameters of PID controller of traction motor. The results show that the CACOFNN model takes on the faster approximation control objectives, more excellent performance and convergence.
