A reader should identify tags quickly and accurately, so an anti-collision algorithm is an important part in a RFID system. Q-algorithm is a hot topic in anti-collision algorithms. In EPC Global Class-1 Gen-2, parameter Q is adopted to adjust the frame sizes dynamically;in ISO/IEC 18000-6 Type C, Q-algorithm with a parameter C makes reduction of equipment loss by lessening adjustments of Q, but it compromises to the system efficiency. In this paper, a Multidimensional Q-Selection with Random Tree algorithm (MQRT) is proposed. It is a hybrid method of Q-algorithm and deterministic algorithm and can lessen unnecessary adjustments of Q and raise system efficiency. The simulation results show that this algorithm can achieve some improved performances than other previous algorithms.

Tag collision is a very important issue in RFID system. In order to improve the identification efficiency of the system, this paper proposes a collision avoidance anticollision algorithm based on subset partition (CABSP). The CABSP narrows the identification range and reduces the probability of tag collision by splitting tag subsets. On this basis, the process of tag identification is divided into two phases including of tag slot reservation phase and tag reading phase, the reader eliminates the idle slots of the tag reading phase by detecting whether there is a reservation collision in the slot reservation phase, and improves the identification efficiency by selecting the tag to be recognized according to the collision avoidance mechanism. Simulation results show that the CABSP algorithm reduces the collision slots in the process of tag identification, and the system throughput can be increased to 90.4%, the performance is better than other existing algorithms in the literature in terms of the identification efficiency and communication complexity.

This paper is going to present a new algorithm called "PP" (a RFID anti-collision algorithm based on pipeline and pre-detecting mechanism) to solve the problem of collisions among the tags in RFID system. This algorithm provides a hardware architecture consisting of two antennas: a pre-detection antenna for pre-detecting and a reading antenna for tag reading, the two processes of which will work respectively and concurrently based on pipeline system. Compared with other related researches, this algorithm that avoids the waste of time in the process of pre-detecting and free from the limitation the ratio of the length of detection slot to reading slot will contribute to a non-stop reading operation. Our simulation illuminates that the proposed PP algorithm outperforms the existing ones in efficiency, stability and the leakage rate of tags.

In general, RFID system consists of a reader and number of tags (embedded in the objects to track them). During the identification process, invoked by the reader to collect the tags' information, multiple tags transmit their information (or IDs) using a shared wireless channel. If multiple tags have concurrent transmissions then the reader perceives it as a collision. The frequency of collision increases when the number of tags inside the identification zone increases, in result the performance of the system degrades heavily in terms of identification efficiency. One of the commonly adopted anti-collision algorithm is Frame slotted Aloha (FSA) which has been standardized in EPC Global G2. This algorithm attempts to adjust the frame size with estimated number of tags and shows good performance results when the number of tags to identify is small. However, due to unknown tag population, the allocation of suitable frame size becomes unreliable for large set of tags. In this paper we propose a Sector and Power based Grouping (SPG) algorithm that confines the tags within the interrogation zone in small groups. The identification process for each group is then operated sequentially. Indeed, grouping of large set of tags highly decreases the collision ratio and further allows us to allocate a reliable frame size which substantially increases the efficiency of the system.

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is an auto-identification technology which has been widely applied to many fields for its great deal of advantages, and anti-collision algorithm is one of its core technologies. Based on the deep study on the traditional and some main currently anti-collision algorithms and its deficiencies analysis, a new anti-collision model: two-time-slotted binary search algorithm is presented in this paper, which the number of times of the search command is reduced because the responds of the radio-frequency tags in the operation scope of the RFID reader are assigned to different time slot, and the anti-collision process is optimized by the simplification of requests and responses between reader and tags. Furthermore, the complete process of the above algorithm is also expounded minutely. The simulation of the new algorithm is done by the software Quartus II, and the simulation result shows that the amount of communication data is reduced greatly, the search efficiency is improved obviously, and the tag's identification becomes more accurate under the same conditions.

There are two basic approaches to solve the tag collision: deterministic collision resolution and stochastic collision resolution. These resolutions are all in the assumption that the number of the tags in the area doesn't change. This algorithm gets over this disadvantage;the tags can enter into the reader's area in the dynamic mode at any moment. According t the reader's identified result each time, the tags can modify their responsive probability in the incremental or degressive mode. This bi-directional operation considers the impartiality of identification. This algorithm adopts Markov chain, and provides the analysis of the efficiency in the situation that tags appear in different patterns.

Food safety issues are frequent in today's society, and how to accurately and accurately track food is an urgent problem to be solved. In the information age of the Internet of Things (IOT), the "connected objects" feature allows food to provide detailed information from the production to the sales process, tracking the processing flow of each link, and when the food quality and safety issues arise, it can be accurate. Quickly find the source of food and related product flows, effectively prevent problem foods from entering the market, and let consumers eat safe food. This thesis mainly studies the multi-tag recognition collision avoidance in the Internet of Things technology, and improves the multi-fork tree anti-collision algorithm. By introducing the slot idea in the ALOHA algorithm, a dual-slot dynamic search algorithm (GMT) is proposed. Simulation experiments show that the algorithm effectively reduces the time spent on RFID tags recognition, reduces the number of collisions of tags, and reduces the energy consumption of the system. It is an effective anti-collision algorithm.

In the field of RFID technology, a power efficient tag anti-collision protocol plays an important role in the entire system based on this technology. The query Tree scheme is one of the most important anti-collision protocols for RFID technology. Researchers have developed different Query algorithm with improved features, each time reducing the number of query iteration and idle slots. The EPC Gen protocol uses this anti-collision algorithm, which is popularly known and globally accepted for its secured data transmission feature but having a huge load of data itself. Low power design and implementation of the anti-collision protocol is another challenging area for cost effective RFID system. In our research work, we have implemented the protocol as low power single chip solution. Furthermore, we have included a data security scheme in this protocol for secured data transmission. VHDL code has been used for design purpose, Xilinx ISE 14.3 simulation tools to simulate the design and Kintex-7 FPGA board for implementation purpose. We have also implemented other anti-collision protocols with different bit size and a comparative study of performance evaluation has been provided.

In order to further decrease the probability of the collision and reduce communication complexity, a new low complexity anti-collision algorithm for RFID is proposed using Query Tree. The proposed algorithm can reduce the probability of collision and the traffic of data communication by tag grouping and setting rules, respectively. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme consumes fewer slots and has lower communication complexity.

This paper introduces the radio frequency identification (RFID) technology and the RFID anti-collision algorithms. The application mode of the RFID dynamic grouping anti-collision algorithm based on fuzzy c-means (FCM) clustering theory is stated. The selection of RFID tag grouping indexes is presented. The steps of the proposed anti-collision algorithm are developed. The simulation results show the algorithm can improve the stability and the reading accuracy of the RFID system.
