Radio frequency identification (RFID) is rapidly come into our lives in recent years, and it is widely used in the areas of logistics, production, and transportation and so on. The technology of anti-collision is a key of RFID. Most of the anti-collision algorithms proposed before are based on TDMA. When the number of tags is very large. it can not well solve the problem. In this paper, an anti-collision algorithm based CDMA is proposed, using the m sequence as the spreading code and combined with the S-ALOHA algorithm that is known as CMS-ALOHA algorithm. This paper analyzes the throughput of CMS-ALOHA, and gives the mathematical analysis. Experimental results show that this algorithm has good performance.

The tree-based tags anti-collision algorithm is an important method in the anti-collision algorithms. In this paper, several typical tree algorithms are evaluated. The comparison of algorithms is summarized including time complexity, communication complexity and recognition, and the characteristics and disadvantages of each algorithm are pointed out. Finally, the improvement strategies of tree anticollision algorithm are proposed, and the future research directions are also prospected.

This paper analyzed and contrasted multiple tags inventory performances of the two international air Interface standards and Chinese national standard in RFID. Given the innovation of technology and design ideas of the Chinese national standard, the problems of inventory were analyzed in the three standards. Afterwards, the performance was simulated by software and hardware platforms, and the performance of Chinese national standard [1] is better than EPC (EPCglobal Class-1 Generation-2 UHF RFID Protocol) [2] or ISO 18000-6B (Information Technology-Radio Frequency Identification for Item Management-Part 6: Parameters for Air Interface Communications at 860-930 MHz) [3].

To address the serious conflict and poor reliability issues in existing radio-frequency identification (RFID) systems, a complete set of remote wireless noncontact attendance system was designed using a 2.4 GHz active RFID system as the terminal reading device for recording employee attendance information. Combined with a wireless network architecture provided by a wireless sensor network, the system wirelessly transmits attendance information to a remote computer control system, thereby effectively improving the cumbersome wiring, poor mobility, and expansibility faults of the cable-contacted attendance system used in the Rail Transportation industry. Consequently, production safety and personnel attendance management become more convenient. The client management system communicates using LabVIEW development tools with the SQL SERVER 2008 database to achieve attendance management functions. To address the electronic tag collision problem in an active RFID system, an improved framed-slotted ALOHA anti-collision algorithm was proposed by combining the original algorithm with dynamic grouping ideas, thereby improving RFID system performance and efficiency.

Distribution equipment and physical assets of a wide range, a large part of the distribution network equipment in the long-term operation in the outdoor environment, bear the role of mechanical load and power load at the same time, but also bear the natural external forces. The above factors will promote the aging of the components, corrosion and oxidation, if not timely detection and elimination of equipment components of the security risks, will affect or even endanger the safe operation of power systems. With the rapid development of wireless communication technology in recent years, RFID is more and more widely used as a radio frequency identification technology. The combination of RFID and power system asset management can greatly reduce the manual operation and improve the efficiency of material and equipment management. This paper designs an asset management system of distribution network equipment based on RFID technology, analyzes the system information security technology, adopts the lightweight security authentication protocol of two-way message mutual authentication to enhance the security performance, and finally gives an improved anti-collision algorithm for binary search to enhance the system's multi-tag recognition efficiency and accuracy.

The tag collision problem is an important issue that affects the efficiency of RFID system. A method of frame length adjustment based on dynamic detection points is proposed in this paper. The method calculates the size of the detection slot area in the frame according to the calculation of the sample size. And then it determines the location of the detection point in the frame. So, the detection point is dynamically adjusted with the length of the frame. Compared with the fixed detection point method, simulation results showed that the dynamic detection point method can adjust the frame length more accurately and improve the system throughput and speed the tag identification.

Capture-Aware Couple-Resolution Blocking Protocol in RFID Systems

In radio frequency identification systems, some applications require tags to be identified repeatedly. To achieve this, many protocols have been proposed that use information obtained from the previous tag identification process to quickly re-identify tags remaining within the communication range of the reader. However, none of these protocols consider the capture effect, and thus may not be effective in real wireless communication environments. When multiple tags simultaneously reply to a reader, the reader may consider the strongest signal to be a successful transmission rather than a collision and ignore all other replies. In this paper, we propose a new capture-aware anticollision protocol based on the couple-resolution blocking (CRB) protocol that efficiently identifies tags repeatedly. We demonstrate that the CRB protocol suffers from the capture effect in which some tags may not be identified in practical environments. To solve this problem of the capture effect, we modify the CRB protocol by adopting the state-of-the-art capture-aware anti-collision protocol known as the multi-round collision tree (MRCT) protocol. Through computer simulation, we show that the proposed protocol with MRCT can reduce the number of slots required by approximately 50% in a random topology where most tags remain in the communication range of the reader.

RFID technology is one of four basic technologies in the Internet of Things. In order to realize its intensive and large-scale uses, the key point is to increase the identification speed of tags. The conventional algorithm only uses integral Q which decreases the efficiency dramatically. In order to decrease the convergence time and rise the slot efficiency, this article proposes a novel anti-collision algorithm based on non integral Q-a key parameter determining the frame length. By turning the rounding Q in the conventional Q-algorithm into rounding 2(Q), the frame length can get closer to its optimal value. Monte-Carlo simulation result shows that the improved algorithm can keep the throughout rate in a relatively high level (about 0.31) and decrease the total number of time-slots by about 30%.

In this paper, an improved Q-algorithm based on Dynamic Framed Slotted Aloha (DFSA) used in EPC Class 1 Generation 2 (C1G2) protocol is proposed. In the proposed anti-collision algorithm, the total number of frames and the unnecessary sending of QueryAdjust commands are reduced in the recognition process by calculating the optimal threshold for adjusting Q. Besides, the identification efficiency and speed are improved by utilizing the Binary Selection (B-S) with collision Processing Threshold (CPT) strategy and Prediction Bit (PB), respectively. Simulation results show that the improved Q-algorithm costs less time slots and the system throughput fluctuates around 47% which is at least 20% higher than EPC C1G2.
