Dealing with the evolution of operating systems is challenging for developers of mobile apps, who have to deal with frequent upgrades that often include backward incompatible changes of the underlying API framework. As a consequence of framework upgrades, apps may show misbehaviours and unexpected crashes once executed within an evolved environment. Identifying the portion of the app that must be modified to correctly execute on a newly released operating system can be challenging. Although incompatibilities are visibile at the level of the interactions between the app and its execution environment, the actual methods to be changed are often located in classes that do not directly interact with any external element. To facilitate debugging activities for problems introduced by backward incompatible upgrades of the operating system, this paper presents FILO, a technique that can recommend the method that must be changed to implement the fix from the analysis of a single failing execution. FILO can also select key symptomatic anomalous events that can help the developer understanding the reason of the failure and facilitate the implementation of the fix. Our evaluation with multiple known compatibility problems introduced by Android upgrades shows that FILO can effectively and efficiently identify the faulty methods in the apps.

Designing a light stair-climbing mobile carrier through using a tank is the main objective of the paper. Many add-ons are integrated into the tank to make it feasible to transport light luggage/grocery (up to 25 Kg) without having to worry about uneven steps/stairs. The tank is made controllable by WIFI using the Blynk application (APP) and by IR remote as an alternative. The added storage box is designed based on the international standards and the project constraints, which is intended to hold and store luggage/groceries, while a cooling system is integrated into the box. In addition, three ultrasonic sensors are implemented to protect the box from obstacles, especially the box has a width and height greater than the tank. Furthermore, a live stream camera and Bluetooth speaker are added to control the tank and communicate with people from a long distance. The studied idea has shown its applicability and could help old/disabled people in transporting objects from one floor to the other in a multiple-floor house and because it is quite big in scope; the tank concept has a lot of potentials and can be enhanced with several improvements or additions to coop different sizes of stairs.

The application of Machine Learning for microorganism, especially bacteria and yeast, recognition becomes attractive because it can reduce the analyzing time of microorganism classification and eliminates human error compare to the classic biological techniques. Therefore, the recognition of microorganism based on Deep Learning increases the efficiency and accuracy of diagnostic process of infected patient. This research studies the possibility to use image classification and deep learning method to recognize bacteria and yeast with the comparison of cell image data-quality between our standard-resolution dataset and high-resolution dataset. We purpose this implementation method of microorganism recognition system using Python programming and the Keras API with Tensorflow Machine Learning framework. The experimental results have shown that bacteria and yeast cell images from microscope are able to be recognized. From the experimental results compare the deep learning methodology of different quality image dataset, our standard resolution dataset could be applied for obtaining more than 80% accuracy of prediction bacteria and yeast.

Internet of Things (IoT) is changing our life for the better. IoT covers various heterogeneous devices which are sensing the environment and/or monitoring a special event in the network. These devices are mostly mobile and are wirelessly connected either to each other or to the Internet. Additionally, IoT devices run many different applications and services which provide the consumers with data and information. This paper focuses on the design and implementation of an application programming Interface (API) for IoT services using the Named Data Networking (NDN). NDN provides an efficient and intelligent communication paradigm for constrained devices like in IoT and uses named content to transmit data in the network. We extend the IoT-NDN architecture and add a new layer for IoT services which will effectively improve the performance of communication between the heterogeneous devices and the services integrated in IoT-NDN. Furthermore, we show the usage of our API and give a small example of network time synchronisation on IoT devices. This illustrates how flexible and lightweight is our approach for several services implemented on heterogeneous devices in IoT.

Information about the condition of the plant is certainly useful to do actions for plants to maintain the quality of these plants. The Internet of Things can help to inform the condition of the plant so that if there are circumstances that require further action such as watering can be informed immediately. In this study the tools used are wemos ESP8266 micro-controller that can be connected to Wi-Fi connected to the internet so that the data state from the sensor can be sent immediately via the internet. Sensors that are attached to plants are temperature, soil moisture, air humidity and light, the data sent to the web application uses the REST API service. The Web application sends the data to the mobile application and Line Chatbot. Natural Language Processing method in chatbot applications as message processing to approach Indonesian language. The result is the user's response in asking about the condition of the plant can be answered and notification of the condition of the plant can be sent. Data delivery must be received as fast as possible for the user to test it for how many seconds the sensor data is sent to the user, from 40 data samples there are delay about 1-3 seconds to be accepted by the user. For further research, sensors are needed which are more varied with the number and type of different plants and testing with sensor data compression.

Efficient utilization of multi-core computers with shared memory depends on many factors. In this article efficiency of multi-core computers with shared memory is investigated. All computer cores execute either parallel streams of a single program, developed in accordance with the OpenMP API, or independent programs. There are no interactions between streams and independent programs. Both parallel and non-parallel (single stream) applications share memory where conflicts may occur. Models for determining the acceleration coefficients of a multi-core computer, analytical expressions which reflect the dependence of the acceleration coefficients on the number of cores, the properties performed the programs, cores and shared memory parameters and formulas for determine recommended numbers of cores for parallel applications in accordance with the OpenMP API are suggested. The main reason for the decrease in performance of multi-core computers with shared memory when parallelizing applications in accordance with the OpenMP API is the overload of shared memory.

Virtual Interface Architecture (VIA) is a light-weight protocol for protected user-level zero-copy communication. In spite of the high performance of VIA, the previous MPI implementation for GigaNet's cLAN revealed low communication performance. The main sources of the low performance are the discrepancy of communication model between MPI and VIA and multi-threading overhead. We propose a novel implementation of the Bulk Synchronous Parallel (BSP) programming library for VIA called xBSP for overcoming such problems. To the best of our knowledge, xBSP is the first implementation of the BSP library for VIA. xBSP demonstrates that selecting a proper library is important to exploit the features of light-weight protocols. The intensive use of RDMA operation leads to high performance, close to the native VIA performance with respect to round trip delay and bandwidth. Based on the study of the effects of multithreading, memory registration, and completion policy on performance, we could obtain an efficient BSP implementation for cLAN, which is confirmed by experimental results.

With the development of the Internet, a large number of computer applications have emerged, and the quantity is still growing rapidly. These applications contain a lot of useful data and functions, however, as most of them are not available and couldn't interact with each other, so the data and functions are difficult to shared and reused, resulting in a huge waste of resources. In order to solve this problem, secondary development is needed on the basis of the source system. For example, it is necessary to collect data from client applications or integrate their functions. Therefore, a framework of automatic encapsulation API based on the client system is proposed in this paper. Firstly, using a design pattern to reconstruct the runtime software architecture. Secondly, an algorithm is proposed for parameter matching to automatically construct API template. Thirdly, a framework is implemented to support design patterns and matching algorithms. In conclusion, we experimented with a real client system, and the results show that in most cases our method can effectively encapsulate and reduce the execution time of the functions.

This paper proposes a voice control system based on artificial intelligence (AI) assistant. The AI assistant system using Google Assistant, a representative service of open API artificial intelligence, and the conditional auto-run system, IFTTT(IF This, Then That) was designed. It cost-effectively implemented the system using Raspberry Pi, voice recognition module, and open software. The proposed system is expected to be applied to various control systems based on voice recognition.
