Lack of practical development platforms and specific methods of application programming delays extensive real-life deployment of smart spaces. Virtual shared workspace is a reasonable scenario for evaluation of the smart spaces paradigm maturity. In this paper we consider SmartRoom system, which is Smart-M3 based open source implementation of virtual shared workspaces. Such collaboration activity as conference or meeting is performed in a room equipped with computing and presentational devices as well as accessing Internet services. Personal mobile devices are primary tools for users. Although the Smart-M3 platform is still a research prototype we show that its existing capability is sufficient for developing certain services for practical use. Functionality of SmartRoom services is not finely tuned and not strictly limited by activity domain. Advanced service construction with context awareness, personalization, and augmentation is possible. We illustrate these properties by introducing e-Tourism services for use in SmartRoom collaborative activity.

TTS, namely text-to-speech, is a kind of technology who can convert text information into sound signal according to information Speech processing rules. TTS, as the synthetic technology of the pronunciation, is the key technology in the current development of computer technology, and one of the most forward technical in its voice service, telephone banking, and information home appliances, mobile PDA fields. TTS has its extensive applications. In this paper, TTS is applied to electronic speech reader, which changes traditional way to read e-book, and both listening to and novels and learning English. This article introduces a method about how to make use of TTS technology, and how to achieve an electronic Speech reader of programming based on Visual Studio C# 2008 environment bring API and Microsoft SAPI interface.

The system for business automation (SBA) is a system within which application experts—nonprogrammers—can describe and execute their applications on a computer. The user of SBA views his application as manipulation of information in two-dimensional pictures of tables, business forms, and reports on a display terminal. He can gradually automate this application by giving “examples” to the system of how he manually manipulates the information. The Query-by-Example database language is a subset of the SBA programming language. © 1977, ACM. All rights reserved.

We describe the design of a comparable corpus that spans all of the world's languages and facilitates large-scale cross-linguistic processing. This Universal Corpus consists of text collections aligned at the document and sentence level, multilingual wordlists, and a small set of morphological, lexical, and syntactic annotations. The design encompasses submission, storage, and access. Submission preserves the integrity of the work, allows asynchronous updates, and facilitates scholarly citation. Storage employs a cloud-hosted filestore containing normalized source data together with a database of texts and annotations. Access is permitted to the filestore, the database, and an application programming interface. All aspects of the Universal Corpus are open, and we invite community participation in its design and implementation, and in supplying and using its data.
