Despite the many technological advances that the information industry has witnessed over the past decades, barriers to the full use of information remain. Part of this problem is due to the volume of content and data that is available today. But the information silos created by proprietary system interfaces and the resultant lack of open use of content are far more serious factors inhibiting the full use of information and ultimately the generation of new ideas. This paper will take a look at the current situation and offer some solutions to the current problem.

Dismisses the possibility that any part of the `Acts of Paul' or its so-called `Acts of Thecla' supplements the canonical New Testament with historically accurate sources of information about the apostolic age. References to historical figures of the first century and to events and controversies of the apostolic age indicate that the author of the `Acts of Paul' had little understanding of the historical or intellectual context experienced by first-century Christians.

Informative identifiers are crucial for the comprehensibility and maintainability of programs. Exploring properties of identifiers and investigating their impact on software artifacts have been an important research focus. However, to enable such capabilities, fundamentally we need to have comprehensive understanding on the main characteristics of identifiers at the first place, which is unfortunately not sufficiently studied. For example, it remained unclear what Part of Speech (POS) tags that developers commonly use to define identifiers. To answer such open issues, we conducted a large-scale empirical study on the naturalness of identifiers, based on 5,000 open source Java and Android projects, concerning five dimensions of identifiers: distributions, compositions, POS tags, lengths, and initializations of identifiers. Results of the empirical study contain five key findings for identifiers in programs, including, e.g., the observation that the three POS tags (i.e., nouns, verbs, and adjectives) are the most commonly used ones when developers define identifiers. Furthermore, based on our findings, we provide implications and insights for developers, researchers, and Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) in the context that identifier-related activities are performed or functionalities are enabled.

Lysippos's Kairos (the "only creator of beauty") appears not to be a purely rhetorical work as some have thought, but a personal manifesto in bronze, his own view of his achievement personified. From a passage in Plutarch it seems that καιρός in Polykleitan aesthetics is the ideal canon, exactly the right choice among the various συμμετρίαι and ἁρμονίαι available in each particular case; Lysippos appears to have interpreted this as a challenge, and his Kairos is both a polemical statement of his own ideas on the role of καιρός in sculpture and an acknowledgment of his debt to Polykleitos, known from other sources. In the field of proportion (συμμετρία) he eschews the "square" canon of his predecessors for a new system that strives for elegance while seemingly conforming to everyday appearance; in that of composition (ῥυθμός), he gently chides them for their failure to evolve a satisfactory solution to the problem of movement, and proffers his own: a combination of two successive movements in a single statue (vide the Apoxyomenos), exactly balanced so as to give the impression of movement—a solution rediscovered only in the nineteenth century by Rodin. The imagery of the Kairos is to be seen as an extended metaphor for this artistic credo, and the statue itself as an embodiment of what Lysippos saw as the final solution to two of the three great problems of sculpture: proportion (συμμετρία) and movement (ῥυθμός); its contribution to the third (ἀκρίβεια) goes without saying.

Some 33 lamps were recorded from the excavations of the Egypt Exploration Society at North Saqqara (1964-76). They were found in the Baboon, the Falcon and the Mother of Apis Catacombs, in the the associated temple site and in the monastic establishment eventually built above the latter. Several lamps were contemporary with the primary usage of the temple and the catacombs, and are of Ptolemaic and perhaps of early Roman Imperial date. Late Roman lamps come only from the monastery and its cemetery area, except one found in the entrance of the Mother of Apis Catacomb. The monastery was doubtless deserted before Fatimid times and the several lamps recovered of that and subsequent periods were left behind in the three catacombs by medieval explorers.
