In this paper, Visual Basic development platform to implement the general professional image software can only be used to complete the image filter processing, the main application the power of Windows API functions, on the one hand improve the ability of VB's advanced application programming, the other hand, image processing also a new understanding of the field. In fact, the Visual Basic program development environment through the use of API Viewer is simple and convenient way to call the API function, not only provides a completely different programming approach in the Windows environment, but also the user into the core of operating system for advanced programming a way, it shows the VB language specific features and attributes of other programming language can not be completed. The design is based on API functions Get Pixel and Set Pixel features and functions, first introduced the general principles of VB interface design, and the image filter interface design in detail of the VB form, then combined Get Pixel and Set Pixel API functions are introduced in detail statement and call the method, then introduces the VB method in the basic color settings, and preparation of the corresponding event procedure code to implement a variety of monochrome images and mixed color filter processing, the system user-friendly, readable, concise efficient, the last run result is correct, to achieve design goals, VB platform allows users to experience the powerful function of Windows API programming skills and capability.

As Internet of Things (IoT) technology becomes more widespread and commonplace in homes, the efficiency of these devices using available bandwidth is becoming more of a concern, as the number of connected devices in a home increase drastically. If each device is controlled using a separate application programming Interface (API), the strain on a network will be much worse than it would if all these devices are controlled from a single point. This single point could handle all commands to and from the devices, thereby decreasing the network load. The framework of a testbed presented in this paper will allow developers to build an API around the devices included in the testbed. Then test their algorithms and other research methods from a remote location.

The application of Machine Learning for microorganism, especially bacteria and yeast, recognition becomes attractive because it can reduce the analyzing time of microorganism classification and eliminates human error compare to the classic biological techniques. Therefore, the recognition of microorganism based on Deep Learning increases the efficiency and accuracy of diagnostic process of infected patient. This research studies the possibility to use image classification and deep learning method to recognize bacteria and yeast with the comparison of cell image data-quality between our standard-resolution dataset and high-resolution dataset. We purpose this implementation method of microorganism recognition system using Python programming and the Keras API with Tensorflow Machine Learning framework. The experimental results have shown that bacteria and yeast cell images from microscope are able to be recognized. From the experimental results compare the deep learning methodology of different quality image dataset, our standard resolution dataset could be applied for obtaining more than 80% accuracy of prediction bacteria and yeast.

The primary focus of this paper is to outline the evolution of mobile technologies and the adoption of these technologies in the IT industry. The paper explores how mobile is used and how it impacts our daily lives. Mobile technology has evolved over a decade, and with smart devices, its applicability and usage has increased drastically, for both personal and business use. Mobile provides increasingly fast access to back-end data sources. The Cloud Computing Environment (CCE) enhances the capabilities of mobile environments, while promoting innovation for next generation mobile technologies. CCE also provides analytics, elastic and scalable environments, secure composable mobile services, rapid application development, and deployment with reduced resources and lower operational costs. With these advanced capabilities, stakeholders are looking for mobile applications that are born on the Cloud. In addition, this paper also describes the challenges a data center could face when implementing a secure mobile infrastructure in a CCE, with lessons learned from actual case studies.

Creating mobile applications often requires both client and server- side code development, each requiring vastly differentskills. Recently, cloud providers like Amazon and Google introduced "server-less" programming models that abstract away many infrastructure concerns and allow developers to focus on their application logic. In this demonstration, we introduce OpenWhisk, our system for constructing cloud native actions, within the context of mobile application development process. We demonstrate how OpenWhisk is used in mobile application development, allows cloud API customizations for mobile, and simplifies mobile application architectures.

Social innovation focuses on the creative ability to solve problems in the community reality. On the other hand, mobile applications empower citizens by creating interaction channels with various industries. Challenge based learning is a collaborative methodology that enables the development of mobile applications, whose main focus is on accepting and solving challenges, performing actions, sharing experiences, and entering into a global discussion on important issues. To exemplify the use of CBL, the process of developing the SciHub application is described, which is a project network, where users can create, follow and receive notifications about them.

Context-aware applications demand for a distributed middleware that can collect, aggregate and deliver contextual data for applications. This paper presents one of the main components, Context-Sources Abstraction (CSA), in a middleware for building context-aware applications. The CSA component includes a set of query interfaces and an event notification mechanism to applications. In this way, the access to the hardware are encapsulated by the middleware and virtualized to the end-point applications. The architecture of the CSA and the common functions of CSA are discussed.

There are several programming languages that can be used to develop Android application, such as C++, Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, and many more. Each programming language certainly has some advantages and disadvantages in the development of Android application. Therefore, a comparison to see the values of those programming languages is needed. This research compared two popular programming languages for Android application development, namely Java and Kotlin. The testing was done by building two applications using Java and Kotlin that access data in a remote server. Our comparison includes source code evaluation, testing on the performance of the app performed on two devices, and testing on the data usage. From the test results, it was proved that Kotlin is superior in terms of more concise lines of code and less data usage which will reduce bugs substantially therefore will lead to faster development time. On the other hand, Java is superior in its compiling time (for first time build but on par with Kotlin for incremental build) and APK size albeit not significant. We also compare ecosystem and programming language constructs for both programming languages. Overall, for Android mobile application development, Java should be used if mobile application development priority is the APK size and compilation / build time while Kotlin should be used if mobile application development priority is lesser bugs, concise code, and faster development time.

There is a wide range of different approaches and tool for cross-platform mobile application development. We studied the performance characteristic of the mobile applications developed with a number of common approaches and tools for mobile application development, including the native SDK's of Google Android and Apple iOS, and cross-platform tools of Apache Cordova, Microsoft Xamarin, and Appcelerator Titanium. The data reveal insights to the designs and trade-offs of different approaches and offer guidance in selecting the appropriate approaches based on their respective performance characteristics.

This paper explores the feasibility of using the Emotiv Cortex application programming Interface (API) service to obtain raw sensor signals from the Emotiv Insight NeuroHeadset for the control of a robotic arm. A data acquisition software based on Python was developed to use the service through data streaming in a Websocket. Raw EEG and motion sensor signals from the headset were processed for event detection. Detected events were then used to trigger control signals to a robotic arm controlled by a Raspberry Pi 3 using the IoT MQTT protocol. The results obtained indicate that the proposed approach and the algorithms developed were adequate translated into valid commands for effective development of a Head-Computer Interface that enables complete interaction with a robotic arm.
