随着电子信息技术的不断发展,人们对于家庭生活中电子信息产品的品质要求也不断提升,智能家居已逐步成为人们普遍渴望与追逐的产品,但由于其标准不一,设计理念不同,导致其普及率不高。智能家居的核心部件是其控制系统,如何使其功能更加多样化,更加易于更新是该领域研究的热点问题之一。本文设计并实现了一套智能家居控制系统。论文首先介绍了智能家居的国内外现状和发展趋势,对智能家居控制系统进行概括性的阐述,论述了当前“智能家居”领域未来研究的方向。其次,通过对市场需求的论证分析,设计了一套基于arduino due智能家居控制系统的总体方案。根据方案将该系统的硬件子系统划分为主控制模块、远程监控模块、安防模块、自动浇水模块、智能光控模块共五个模块,通过对光照强度、温度、湿度、CO浓度、烟雾浓度等多种物理量的检测控制,实现了对室内各项环境变量和家电设备的整体智能控制。在此硬件子系统的基础之上,通过arduino Ide编程环境编程实现了数据采集、数据传输与处理、指令控制等功能,并对相应软件进行了系统开发,从而完成软件子系统的设计实现。最后,对系统进行了整体的调试与测试。测试结果明：该系统实现了对家居系统的智能控制,达到了预期的设计目标。本设计相比目前市场上的同类产品具有易扩展、低成本、安防性突出等优势。

An Enhanced Solar Battery Charger Using a DC-DC Single-Ended Primary-Inductor Converter and Fuzzy Logic-Based Control for Off-Grid Photovoltaic Applications

Battery charging systems are crucial for energy storage in off-grid photovoltaic (PV) installations. Since the power generated by a PV panel is conditioned by climatic conditions and load characteristics, a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique is required to maximize PV power and accelerate battery charging. On the other hand, a battery must be carefully charged, ensuring that its charging current and voltage limits are not exceeded, thereby preventing premature degradation. However, the voltage generated by the PV panel during MPPT operation fluctuates, which can harm the battery, particularly during periods of intense radiation when overvoltages are likely to occur. To address these issues, the design and construction of an enhanced solar battery charger utilizing a single-ended primary-inductor converter (SEPIC) and soft computing (SC)-based control is presented. A control strategy is employed that integrates voltage stabilization and MPPT functions through two dedicated fuzzy logic controllers (FLCs), which manage battery charging using a three-mode scheme: MPPT, Absorption, and Float. This approach optimizes available PV power while guaranteeing fast and safe battery charging. The developed charger leverages the SEPIC's notable features for PV applications, including a wide input voltage range, minimal input current ripple, and an easy-to-drive switch. Moreover, unlike most PV charger control strategies in the literature that combine improved traditional MPPT methods with classical proportional integral (PI)-based control loops, the proposed control adopts a fully SC-based strategy, effectively addressing common drawbacks of conventional methods, such as slowness and inaccuracy during sudden atmospheric fluctuations. Simulations in MATLAB/Simulink compared the FLCs' performance with conventional methods (P&O, IncCond, and PID). Automatic multicommuted flow-batch setup for photometric determination of mercury in drinking water at ppb level

Herein, a multicommuted flow-batch setup and a photometric procedure for the determination of mercury at the ppb level in aqueous samples are described. The setup was designed to implement a versatile solvent extraction and pre-concentration strategy by combining flow-batch and multicommuted flow analysis approaches. The photometric method was based on Hg(II) reaction with dithizone in a chloroform medium, which was also used as the extracting organic solvent. The flow analysis system was composed of a homemade syringe pump module, a set of solenoid valves, two Aquarius mini-pumps, and a flow-batch chamber. The homemade photometer was comprised of a light emitting diode (LED), photodiode, and homemade flow cell (50 mm length). The flow system and photometer were controlled using an arduino due board, running custom-written software. After optimizing the operational conditions, the effectiveness of the developed system was evaluated for the de-termination of the mercury concentration in drinking water. For accuracy assessment, samples were analyzed using a spiking methodology and an independent method, yielding a recovery ranging from 92% to 108%. Other important characteristics of the proposed method were found as follows: linear response range, 0.5-10.0 mu g L-1 (r = 0.9984);limit of detection 0.38 mu g L-1 Hg(II);consumption of dithizone and chloroform, 1.85 mu g L-1 and 0.8 mL per analysis, respectively;coefficient of variation, 2% (n = 10);sampling throughput, 20 determinations per h.

Earthquake effects are strongly related with the properties of the local geology, amplifying the ground motion, especially in soft soils. This amplification is connected with the resonant frequency, which can be estimated applying the horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio (1-1/V) method on seismic noise measurements. In this work, a low-cost user-friendly data acquisition system (Geophonino-3D) has been designed for three-component seismic noise recording. The developed system consists of the signal conditioning circuit and the arduino due with an SD Shield for data storage. The suitability of the equipment for the application of the H/V method has been first assessed in the laboratory, according to the experimental sensitivity, the internal noise stability and the channel consistency. Subsequently, experimental verification has been carried out by recording seismic noise at eight different sites along the province of Alicante (southeast Spain), with different soil characteristics. The performance of the developed acquisition system has been evaluated in terms of the power spectral density and the H/V peaks by comparison with the results obtained through a commercial seismic recorder. The obtained results show the applicability of the developed acquisition system to record seismic noise and to apply the H/V method. Geophonino-3D is an open source and open hardware system and the price of its components is much lower than any other commercial equipment, which becomes a significant advance especially for small research groups with reduced economic support. Development and programming of Geophonino: A low cost arduino-based seismic recorder for vertical geophones

The commercial data acquisition systems used for seismic exploration are usually expensive equipment. In this work, a low cost data acquisition system (Geophonino) has been developed for recording seismic signals from a vertical geophone. The signal goes first through an instrumentation amplifier, INA155, which is suitable for low amplitude signals like the seismic noise, and an anti-aliasing filter based on the MAX7404 switched-capacitor filter. After that, the amplified and filtered signal is digitized and processed by arduino due and registered in an SD memory card. Geophonino is configured for continuous registering, where the sampling frequency, the amplitude gain and the registering time are user-defined. The complete prototype is an open source and open hardware system. It has been tested by comparing the registered signals with the ones obtained through different commercial data recording systems and different kind of geophones. The obtained results show good correlation between the tested measurements, presenting Geophonino as a low-cost alternative system for seismic data recording. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. A Light-Weight Rapid Control Prototyping System Based on Open Source Hardware

In this paper, we propose a light-weight rapid control prototyping (RCP) system based on off-the-shelf open source hardware to achieve high performance computing, cost effectiveness, portability, and easy accessiblity. The proposed RCP system consists of a PC-based computer-aided control system design (CACSD) tool for computing control action and tiny palm-sized open source hardware for input and output (I/O) operation and data transfer through a built-in high-speed USB interface. The popular-priced and portable open source hardware is used as a bridge between CACSD tools and real plants to deliver the control and sensor data at the sampling time points. Ten I/O function blocks written in C code are developed based on the CACSD tool employed for the proposed light-weight RCP system in order to handle I/O operation in a simple way. In addition, we suggest two practical strategies, a batch transfer strategy and a variable sampling period method, to increase the sampling rate of the control system. It is shown through experiment that the proposed light-weight RCP system works well up to a sampling rate of 2 kHz without adopting expensive hardware and C code generators. It is expected that the proposed RCP system will be considered as affordable and readily available to schools for mass education.

A new sensitive photometric procedure for the determination of sulfate in fuel ethanol without sample preparation exploiting a flow-batch strategy

A simple, accurate, and fast flow-batch procedure employing photometric detection for the determination of sulfate in fuel ethanol was developed. After the formation of soluble barium sulfate in alcoholic medium, the remaining barium forms a product with dimethylsulfonazo III (DMS), the absorbance of which was monitored at 655 nm directly in the reaction chamber. The proposed procedure does not require any sample treatment such as dilution. Under the optimized conditions, the technique offers the advantages of low waste generation (< 5 mL), sampling throughput of 35 h(-1), linear response from 0.1-1.5 mg L-1 sulfate, and a limit of detection (95%) and coefficient of variation (n = 6) of 48 mu g L-1 and 1%, respectively. The accuracy was assessed by comparison of results with those obtained by ion-chromatography;no significant difference was observed at the 95% confidence level.

This paper deals with implementation of a single-phase three level converter system under low voltage condition. The frequency of the switches is made constant and involves change in ton and toff duration. For this condition the pulse width modulation control scheme for a single phase three level rectifier is developed to improve the power quality. The hysteresis current control technique is adopted to bring forth three-level PWM on the dc side of the bridge rectifier and to achieve high power factor and low harmonic distortion. Based on the proposed control scheme, the line current is driven to follow the sinusoidal current command which is in phase with the supply voltage. By using three-level voltage pattern the blocking voltage of each power device is clamped to half of the dc link voltage. The simulation and experimental results of 20W converter under low input voltage condition are shown to verify the circuit performance. Open loop simulation and hardware tests are implemented by applying a low voltage of 15 V(rms) on the input side.

An efficacious implementation of Internet of Things (IoTs) based omnipresent sensing and monitoring system for domestic as well as non-domestic environments. The structure of the sensing-monitoring system is established on the combination of ubiquitous sensing units, controlling system for data acquisition, manipulation and aggregation and internet based platform for setting an efficient monitoring. The proposed model consists of sensing units which perceives the environmental value (such as Humidity, temperature, heat index, gas, etc), voltage and current parameters of the various household appliances for monitoring the amount of power consumed. Which is further calibrated by the controlling system to yields the aggregated data and finally collected on the Internet based platform. The framework of connecting the smart sensor to the internet is achieved by an IoT platform called Xively, which provides channel utility to deploy the prototype into an integrated product.

In this paper, designing and fabricating a mechatronic system for analyzing exerted forces by human gait has been described. Force sensitive resistors (FSRs) sensors as well as arduino due (Microcontroller) have been utilized in the system which is mounted on a shoe insole. Furthermore, the applied Interrupt Service Routine (ISR) programming technique in microcontroller and signal conditioning circuit design has been explained. The mechatronic system has been tuned and calibrated through the experimental tests and some of the important results have been presented and discussed.
