Contrary to cloud computing, edge computing shifts some of the computational loads to the edge device to accommodate real-time and complex processing. Multicore processors are commonly employed to accommodate the high computational requirements. Meanwhile, skills required to build such a complex program is still uncommon due to the limited exposure to multicore environment in embedded system. There is a need for platform that facilitates learning and development of multicore processor in embedded system, while keeping the learning curve relatively easy. arduino ide is a widely used and user-friendly platform, but officially only supports single core processors. This work proposes a design of multicore ide for embedded system based on modification on the arduino ide. Implementation of the design is not discussed to keep the proposed design general and reusable.

In biomedical Applications, Network plays a vital role to transmit the health-related information from patient to doctors which helps to save the human lives. During the data transmission, there is the possibility of data loss, delayed delivery, malicious attack and that leads to huge loss in human lives. To overcome this issue, a new technique Smart & secure Flying Adhoc Networks (FANET) architecture was proposed for the Quality-of-Service (QoS) improvement in biomedical applications. This research work helps society to save human lives during any emergency. With the integration of optimization and clustering techniques, the design configuration of the proposed architecture includes mobility management and secure transmission. The first phase includes sensing the patient's information by using arduino ide hardware. The sensed data will be transmitted through different types of networks including mobile ad-hoc networks, vehicular adhoc networks and flying ad-hoc networks. The routing protocol concentrates on clustering formation, mobility management, secure transmission and optimization. When compared to other type of networks, the proposed Smart & secure Flying Adhoc Networks (FANET) improves the network performance. The quality-of-service was achieved using the parameters such as network throughput, latency, delivery rate, routing overhead and control overhead.

Design and experimentation of a solar-powered robot for cleaning the greenhouse roofs

Greenhouse technology is crucial for combating climate change and enhancing off-season produce and crop yield. Dust build-up on greenhouse roofs remains a significant problem, significantly reducing light transmission and affecting plant growth. Therefore, this study aims to classify dust build-up on greenhouse roofs and to address it by designing, manufacturing, operating, and evaluating a solar-powered cleaning robot system. Water and cement removal agent (CRA) with different mixing ratios were selected to clean the greenhouse roof. The initial findings demonstrate the greenhouse cover's ability to allow light to pass through can differentiate between different levels of dust accumulation. This study reveals that 88 %-93 % of transmittance levels indicate a clean roof, 82 %-87 % reveal minor dust accumulation, 81 %-75 % denote moderate dust accumulation, and below 75 % signify major dust accumulation. This increased the efficiency of the light intensity for minor dust roofs from 39,285 to 41,731 lux ((CRA) 1:3 water), moderate dust roofs from 36,777 to 39,383 lux ((CRA) 1:1 water), and major dust roofs from 30,585 to 35,525 lux (CRA). The results show a substantial improvement in light transmittance from 88 % to 93 % for clean roofs, compared to much lower levels for dust-accumulated roofs.

An intelligent technique is used to control a novel design solar air cooler, where, a solar air cooler has two sections, one is the solar photovoltaic system and the second is an air cooler. A photovoltaic system has non-linear characteristics of active power versus voltage graph that depends on solar irradiation (Watt/Area). Thus, here, an intelligent technique is developed using arduino IED to extract maximum power from the solar panel. At maximum power buck converter is pulsed to charge the 12V battery. Whereas a second section has a novel approach to circulate unpleasant humid air to pleasant cool air and it completes its duty in three stages. In the first stage, hot or humid air comes from the atmosphere and enters into the tank where 20 W DC pump circulates water inside the evaporator which is made of circular copper coils. The circular coil maintains the cool temperature, whenever, hot air comes into contact with the cool copper coils. In the second stage, a DC fan 60W is installed in between the coils which takes cool less humid air and exhaust through the narrow gap and in the third stage, air takes another path to circulate pleasant air. These approaches reduce 10% of relative humidity and maintain 26 0 C temperature inside the 12ft-by-12ft room. Moreover, relative humidity and temperature are fully controlled under the hybrid condition of the proposed air cooler. Hybrid condition is the condition when the proposed air cooler runs with a split -phase air conditioner.

In this chapter, an introduction of navigate a vehicle autonomously, the control action of the system must know at least two things, its own current position and direction of movement. Location can be find by either from an outside system source with technology such as the Global Positioning System (GPS), or by calculation of mathematical equation a followed path from a known source point with the use of electronic compasses, inclinometers, and rotational counters. However, under any scheme, the outcome is to somehow generate the positional information of the vehicle so that the vehicle could be guided to follow a path and reach the target. In addition of this, the direction sensing devices are also used for getting the values of current heading of vehicle so that it could be steered to move towards target location. GPS has advantage over other position detection mechanism that it also provides an estimate of vehicle's current heading based on the previous two positional coordinates. While the current heading provided by GPS is not accurate enough under some conditions, it is envisaged to accommodate GPS as the only sensor for guiding the autonomous vehicle to follow the trajectory in outdoor applications. The use of WiFi is now a part of each human life. Airports, railways, bus-stand, home, markets everywhere now people uses WiFi because its reliability and low-cost. WiFi is also applicable in future tech of IoT (Internet of Things). In this work we used two NodeMCU (ESP8266 WiFi module) which is a easily programmable. NodeMCU which acts itself as a sensor node can be used as Access Point (AP) or as a STAtion (STA). We used one node as a AP and another as a STA. To locate a device distance measurement one of most important issue. There are lots of technique to find out the distance between two nodes (e.g. Time of Arrival (TOA), Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) or Received Signal Strength (RSS) algorithms etc). In this work we use RSSI technique to determine the distance. First, we take around 300 sample data (RSSI values) and find the the standard deviation to calculate how much the RSSI values are spread out and use curve fitting technique to find suitable equation for estimate distance. Then, we compared the estimated distance with actual distance to find the error level in percentage. We are success to reduce the average error level up to 8.32%.

In this paper, authors have focused on controlling of hybrid energy system using IOT. There is various combination of energy and all of them are alternative to each other like solar energy, wind energy, bio fuel, fuel cell, etc. But the need of controlling of hybrid energy system arises when it is installed for domestic or commercial purpose. At this point IOT plays an important role in controlling system. The main criteria being switching between the two sources of energy i.e. solar and wind energy without any inconvenience through a website using ESP8266 Wi-Fi module. The data is transmitted wirelessly through website to ESP8266 module which controls the sources of energy. The transmitted data is controlled remotely using IOT. This enables user to have flexible control mechanism remotely through a secured internet web connection. This system helps the user to control the sources of energy, manually and remotely using smart phone or personal computer. This system is very efficient, cheaper and flexible in operation.

The agricultural productivity of India is gradually declining due to destruction of crops by various natural calamities and the crop rotation process being affected by irregular climate patterns. Also, the interest and efforts put by farmers lessen as they grow old which forces them to sell their agricultural lands, which automatically affects the production of agricultural crops and dairy products. This paper mainly focuses on the ways by which we can protect the crops during an unavoidable natural disaster and implement technology induced smart agro-environment, which can help the farmer manage large fields with less effort. Three common issues faced during agricultural practice are shearing furrows in case of excess rain or flood, manual watering of plants and security against animal grazing. This paper provides a solution for these problems by helping farmer monitor and control various activities through his mobile via GSM and DTMF technology in which data is transmitted from various sensors placed in the agricultural field to the controller and the status of the agricultural parameters are notified to the farmer using which he can take decisions accordingly. The main advantage of this system is that it is semi-automated i.e. the decision is made by the farmer instead of fully automated decision that results in precision agriculture. It also overcomes the existing traditional practices that require high money investment, energy, labour and time.

In Bangladesh with this immense problem of traffic the most compatible among all vehicles is bicycle. Though it is very user friendly, it requires massive amount of mechanical energy for pedaling for which the concept of incorporating electricity in bicycle came in mid-20th century. With the development of technology, the paper is focusing on developing an electric bike with recent technologies and to make it budget friendly for Bangladesh. For hardware implementation, PROTEUS simulator is used to design the BLDC controller by using arduino ide microcontroller. A Hub motor which is very sleek in design and very light in weigh, is considered for the electric bicycle. Lithium ion batteries was added for power backup because of its high energy density, low self-discharge rate and low maintenance. The mobility of the power supply was one of the main objectives so that it can be charged whenever it is needed.
