One of the most important places in any house is the kitchen. Many safety measures has to be taken into account while using the kitchen. The reasons that leads to unexpected explosions are an uncontrolled fire, excessive rise in temperature, the presence of leakage gas etc., The explosions has to be immediately recognized and cleared. The main purpose of the paper is that to identify, address the safety of kitchen. This smart and safety monitoring system is modeled by these types of sensors namely, DTH11 sensor monitors temperature and humidity of the kitchen, IR flame sensor detects the existence of fire in the surroundings of kitchen and the leakage of gas in the kitchen is detected by using MQ-3 sensor. The interfacing of these sensors is done by using arduino UNO and the controlling of this safety system is done by relay. The different colored LED's indicates different situations that are occurred in the kitchen. In increase in leakage in gas and temperature in the kitchen will be reduced by the performance of the relay. The buzzer will be in ON condition when there is the presence of fire. The monitoring and controlling of this system is done by every 15 seconds. By using the Wi-Fi module the data about kitchen will be transmitted to user.

basically the concept of designing "Smart Cabin" is been developed and modified from the concept of "Smart Cabs" which are implemented in cities in large numbers in order to develop smart and secure service to the people. People found implementing all these concepts for real time purposes are much more effective rather than just keeping the concept and prototype of the system in papers, because so much of development took place after the implementation of smart cabs in the cities where people living there started feeling much more secure than that of the days when the system was not implemented, especially for women. As the current scenario is very much advanced in case of gender discrimination but then still in some places, the areas aren't that safe for women at night times. Especially for those areas the system of smart cabs was been designed, meaning fully eliminating of abusing female gender. These system has highly advanced devices used like sound sensors, fire flame sensors, and even some systems have live monitoring devices too that sends the information(signal) of exact situation of the cab or in an around the cab and which is directly connected with several security control rooms even to police stations. If any kind of information signal is received the security control backup is 24(star)7 available for the action at any point of time. Similarly the concept of this paper is also based on the above discussed applications with modifications and improvisations of few devices, as it is designed for a particular room(cabin).

In our daily life, owing to a strenuous schedule, it is not always feasible to nurture a plant in the proper manner. The task of understanding the specific requirements of individual plants and maintaining them is entirely labor-intensive as well as time consuming. In this project, a method to technologically handle the process of . fostering the desideratum of all plants have been proposed which focuses on making the job of monitoring a plants requirements easier. The proposed technology comprises of four modules namely, Moisture Detection and Rehydration Module, Temperature and Humidity Detection Module and Light Detection Module. Each module checks the specific parameters and consequently initiates the appropriate action. Firstly, the moisture detection module examines the moisture level of the soil at all times and on the basis of the data obtained it rehydrates the plant when required. Secondly, we have the temperature and humidity detection module which keeps track of the mentioned physical parameters and a Piezo buzzer connected to it indicates the prerequisite action to be taken if the parameters fluctuate. Then, we have the Light Detection Module which monitors the optimal light which is required for the sustainable growth and development of the plants. arduino Uno is connected to Cayenne for fulfilling the above mentioned operations without the presence of any manual-labor. The proposed technology can be utilized as a home gardening solution, can be used for very sensitive plants which requires utmost care and lastly, provides a solution to meet the required moisture levels automatically.

This project is created to fulfil only one purpose that is to create an authentication system based on biometrics, the most common type of biometrics is fingerprint. It is designed to reduce and prevent the theft of two wheelers. This also provides the user a keyless interface increasing its accessibility. The ignition system is replaced with fingerprint start system. The fingerprints are identified and stored in templates of binary codes which are acquired on the basis of special features of fingerprint. The project consists of the AVR microcontroller arduino uno r3, the fingerprint module R307, and the GSM Module sim800L. The fingerprint Module R307 can store up to 127 fingerprints. once the fingerprints are stored the r307 interacts with the arduino and process that information if the fingerprint matches with the user, then the arduino controller sends signal to relay module to start the ignition system. f the fingerprint does not matches the arduino sends a message to the user as "someone has tried to access your bike" via GSM module. The proposed model mimics the self-start of bike with a DC motor. Additionally, access to the two-wheeler is available via a keypad, which has a four-digit password, allowing users' family or relatives to access the model other than the user.

As the usage of vehicles is increasing drastically in Sri Lanka, the rate of road accidents is also increased today, especially two-wheelers. Low and middle-income countries like Sri Lanka are the most affected because road traffic crashes and injuries are linked not only to the number of vehicles, road conditions, and drivers' behavior but also to the country's level of economic and social development. The main causes for these mishaps are due to the fault of driver/rider like, high-speed, drunk and drive, diversion of minds by stress or electronic gadgets as well as faults of authorities such as poor road infrastructure, inappropriate mixing of vehicle types, inadequate traffic law enforcement and delayed implementation of road safety policies, etc. Even some mild injuries may cause severe problems to a victim without prompt medical health. The physical condition of the victim who met with an accident is not always going to be good enough to seek medical help. Sometimes the victim may be in an unconscious stage or maybe fainted away. This paper deals with automatic accident detection and also introduces automated accidents alerting when the accident occurs to the vehicle. Once the accident occurs to a certain vehicle, the proposed system will detect it and send an alert containing the required information to a certain registered number instantly.

The Internet of Things (IoT) system proposed in this paper is an advanced solution for monitoring the temperature at different points of location in a data centre, making this temperature data visible over internet through cloud based dashboard and sending SMS and email alerts to predefined recipients when temperature rises above the safe operating zone and reaches certain high values. This helps the datacenter management team to take immediate action to rectify this temperature deviation. Also this can be monitored from anywhere anytime over online dashboard by the senior level professionals who are not present in the data centre at any point in time. This Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) based monitoring system consists of temperature sensors, ESP8266 and Wi-Fi router. ESP8266 is a low power, highly integrated Wi-Fi solution from Espressif. The ESP8266 here, in this prototype, connects to 'Ubidots' cloud through its API for posting temperature data to the cloud dashboard on real time and the cloud event management system generates alerts whenever the high temperature alert event is fired. Cloud events need to be configured for different alerts beforehand through the user friendly user interface of the platform. It's to be noted that the sensor used here can be leveraged to monitor the relative humidity of the data center environment as well along with the temperature of the data center. But for this prototype solution focus is kept entirely on the temperature monitoring.

Monitoring electricity consumption has a key role in reducing energy consumption. This monitoring can be frequent (several times per week) or continuous. Recent studies showed that such monitoring can reduce residential energy consumption by as much as 15%. The development of energy management systems in the monitoring systems and intelligent energy meters have been going for a while. In this paper, we will present a new electricity monitoring device called "E-ring". E-ring is a non-invasive tool mainly made from a current transformer clamp meter that clamps to the main electricity cables of the user's home and measures the electrical consumption and sends the measured data to an online server and then makes it accessible from the user's mobile phone using a specially-developed mobile application. It has many advantages such as low data rate, low price, and real-time access to the consumption data and simultaneously calculate the estimated price for the household/industrial electricity bill with a tolerance of around 2%.

In the paper, the model and prototype of the AC stabilizer have been developed based on the AVR ATmega328P microcontroller. The block diagram of the device, the electronic circuit and the algorithms of the system operation have been developed. In particular, the algorithm includes software in C in the arduino ide. The AC voltage stabilizer is designed using the modular principle, which makes it possible to quickly upgrade. The AC voltage stabilizer makes it possible to maintain the supply voltage on the load within acceptable limits with significant deviations, has the ability to adjust the voltage range of the network to operate the stabilizer, manual adjustment potentiometers.

Nowadays we can see nearly everything which was once controlled by human being are being automated using machines and electronics circuits. In this paper, we are mainly concentrating on the use of a cell phone to run a remote controlled robotic arm. We have designed the robotic arm with base rotation, elbow and wrist motion with a functional gripper to pick and place as well as to hold objects. Like the bones in your body, the individual segments are connected together with joints. The decision to pick and place the object will be taken by operator by pressing the cell phone key. By pressing different keys of cell phone the robotic arm can be moves in desire direction such as left, right, up and down. We have used the ATmega328P microprocessor, DTMF and GSM modules for the purpose of remote controlling by cell phone. Proteus 8 for the hardware simulation and arduino ide for control part programming as well. This remote controlled robotic arm can be used to reach the places where humans cannot reach such as small tunnels, etc. This solution demonstrates the use of cell phone as a control unit without use of computer.

The objective of this project is to create a smart flat patrolling robot with a variety of accessories, including an ESP controller, DC gear motor, motor driver, LCD, buzzer, rechargeable batteries, high-definition night vision 360 degrees rotation smart camera, IoT cloud app and wheels. This robot's purpose is to improve security and monitoring within an apartment building by independently patrolling predetermined regions and delivering real-time monitoring via a cloud-based Internet of Things application. The ESP controller, which acts as the robot's central processing unit, and the DC gear motor with a motor driver, which enables mobility, make up the robot's essential parts. The ESP controller, which takes instructions from the IoT cloud app, manages the robot's movement and navigation. The app enables users to monitor live camera feed, remotely control the robot, and get notifications for any questionable activity. The robot can take clear video footage even in low light thanks to the high-definition night vision 360 degrees rotation smart camera, which can also spin 360 degrees to cover a large area of vision. This camera is essential for keeping an eye on and documenting any unexpected activity while patrolling. The design and development of a flexible, intelligent apartment patrolling robot that combines several components to improve security and surveillance is shown in this project. This robot is a useful addition to apartment complex security systems thanks to the ESP controller, DC gear motor, high-definition video, IoT cloud app, and other characteristics.
