The use of various remote and virtual laboratories (R&VL) for educational and scientific purposes is becoming commonplace in the modern world, due to the continuous development of online engineering technologies. Since the fields of study are constantly expanding, the development of new laboratories is an almost continuous process. However, creating R&VL from scratch is a very complex process that requires large financial and time costs. Unfortunately, there are no uniform standards and approaches in the field of R&VL development, and developers implement their own decisions, which differ significantly. Therefore, an urgent task is to introduce methods and tools to speed up the development process of R&VL and make it more efficient. The developed framework is created to demonstrate to students the process of developing a virtual laboratory for the design of embedded systems and it allows them to gain knowledge about the design process and tools, structural and functional features of virtual labs, as well as acquire skills in using modern technologies for software development, modification and support.
