Rickshaw is a three-wheel low-cost vehicle. It runs only with the help of muscular strength of a person to carry other persons and loads but does not have a particular fare system. In this research work, a new idea of rickshaw fare measurement system is proposed. The objective of this work is to design an automated fare system for rickshaws in low cost to eradicate bargaining and reduce sufferings of the rickshaw puller as well as the passengers. The system is micro-controller based and designed using arduino uno, IR sensor, Accelerometer, Load sensor and Humidity sensor. The fare system calculates fare considering the distance, steepness of the road, weight of carrying loads, weather, travelling time and then displays the fare on the LCD screen. In addition, the rickshaw puller can agree or disagree with the fare, the decision is accounted for maintaining a fair rate. The prototype is implemented with satisfactory result in a test-based environment.

Science and technology have been improving day by day. Smart technology is augmenting the living standard of the human. Smart wheelchair is a paradigm of smart technology. The main ambition behind the titled project is to introduce a smart wheelchair which will be navigated with different head gestures of the user. The proposed wheelchair has been associated with exclusive features to make the movement more comfortable and convenient. Accelerometer sensor has been used to move the wheelchair in five different directions according to different head gestures. Two DC motors have been incorporated to move the wheels in different position. arduino LINO controls the direction of the wheelchair using Relay as the motor driver. The wheelchair has been powered by solar panel thus providing emphasize on the use of green energy. LDR has been used as light detection sensor which would help the user to move when there is inadequate light. Seat belt sensor has been used as a switch to provide secure movement. Ultrasonic sensor has been used as the obstacle detector for making the movement safer. At last, the operation of the entire system has been observed and commendable outcomes have been achieved to make the smart wheelchair efficient and effective for the user.

This paper is an attempt to recognize and test the intelligent and smart irrigation system. Water requirement for outdoor plants in commercial agriculture domain calls for optimum usage of water due to the monstrous worldwide water crisis. For domestic applications in urban localities, often people who have plants face a problem of watering them when they are out on vacation or on duty. The proposed method uses a smartphone to check the atmospheric temperature, relative humidity and soil moisture of the potted plants. The owner thus has the option to put ON or OFF a water pump using a Mobile Application based on the monitored parameters. It is a cost effective, user controlled precision irrigation service. The readings of the sensors are recorded twice a day and the results of the experimental set up shows that a typical Periwinkle (Catharanthus roseus) plant consumes approximately 250 ml of water per day in a Tropical region.

The growth of internet has introduced different types of services which includes actuators and sensors proving remarkable and outstanding performances. It is found that the greatest current issue in IoT field is to obtain an easy and a safe access control scheme for the large amount of data. So there is a need to discover some solutions of security. This study discusses about the open API service which is a web service called as the IoT Thingspeak platform. It plays as a host for a different numbers of sensors for sensing and monitoring patients heart rate and temperature data at cloud level and further the data is being ported to MATLAB R2017a with the help of a channel ID. In MATLAB R2017a security is being applied to the patients data using GUI login details. The proposed technique is used for retrieving data securely at the end user. This work makes use of hardware components such as arduino uno board, ESP8266 Wi-Fi Module, Pulse sensor, LM35 Temperature sensor for processing and transferring the sensed information to the Thingspeak cloud.

The demand for parking has been part of society as the number of vehicles increases as time goes by. The problems in today's parking system such as car theft and inconvenience for drivers are common to all of us. Different strategies in parking management system have been developed to solve these kinds of problems. As observe the existing parking system in today's society to make a new system to improve and solve problems in the current parking system. This study presents a solution by making new automated parking system. With the integration of QR code technologies to make a new design of parking system that is capable of providing security and convenience for everyone who will be using it. The system based on findings proves that the concept of study is reliable on its aim in providing security in today's parking system.

This paper aims to put in evidence the functional principle of a solar tracker in an easy to understand manner for students. It will start from presenting the concept of green energy, the principle of how a photovoltaic cell is made, how to increase the efficiency of a solar panel by orientation after its movement and what algorithms can be used in order to increase the overall efficiency. It will also study the implementation of a practical solution using a solar panel on two freedom axes with two servomotors and four photoresistors which are controlled by an arduino uno unit so the direct exposure time of the panel in the Sun can be increased.

Global trade is growing steadily and the management of the transport and logistics fields is facing many challenges day after day. Container shipping is one of those areas whose management has become a crucial task because of its major role in ensuring the quality of freight transport service. In this paper, we present and describe a real-time monitoring and management system dedicated to the automatization of the maritime terminal containers management. Our proposed solution is based on using both Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data technologies in order to build a system that provides advanced features to cover different aspects of container logistics management. As the implementation of the proposed system implies using various tools and technologies, we conducted a comparative study on several technologies and tools related to IoT and Big Data in order to choose the appropriate ones. We also adopted a multi-layer architecture for the proposed system and through this paper, we will present the scope, role and tools set for every tier.

Internet of Things (IoT) consists of devices that connect to the internet and communicate with each other. It enables these devices to collect and exchange data with a consumer. This paper presents an IoT-based Smart Garden with Weather Station system, which can be used to monitor the growth of plant every day and predict the probability for raining. Why this IoT-based device is been created? Many people are interested in growing the plants are always forget on watering the plants. Hence, in this study, the device is equipped with a water pump, where it can be monitored and controlled by using a smartphone. In addition, the devices also consist of four main sensors, which are Barometric Pressure, DHT11 Temperature, and Humidity Sensor, Soil Moisture Sensor and Light intensity module sensor. The Soil and Light Intensity sensor used to measure the value by percentages. Besides, two actuators, which are the water pump and LED light can be used remotely or by using a button on the devices. The LED is purposely to replicate the sunlight and make the plant grow faster. This IoT-based Smart Garden with Weather Station System can record the data and send the result to user through the smartphone application named as Blynk apps. This research is beneficial, and the system can be easily managed by all users such as researcher or farmer, and children.

World Health Organization (WHO) 2018 report says that 31% of global deaths are due to cardiovascular diseases. If no initiative is taken to check this most predictable and preventable among all chronic diseases, the world will have to suffer from billions of heart patients. India has the highest incidence of heart related diseases in the world and also it has one doctor for every 10,189 people though WHO suggests one doctor for 600 people [11]. The main aim of this work is to enable the doctors for early detection of cardiac disorder and save the life of heart patients. This work may be suitable for Tele-Cardiology application of Tele-Medicine which has a unique capacity to improve the health care service to millions of rural people. Cardiac arrhythmias classification has become an active research area over the last two decades. Further, from a literature survey, it is identified that finding an efficient feature scheme is a major challenge to enhance classification accuracy of cardiac disorders. Existing feature extraction methods may not be sufficient to detect the possibility of cardiac disorders as ECG is a quasi-periodic, nonlinear and non-stationary signal. Hence, in this paper, it is proposed to use a wavelet transform technique to extract ECG features. These features are used to classify seven types of cardiac arrhythmias (Cardiac Ischemia, Ventricular Tachycardia, Supra Ventricular Tachycardia, Ventricular Fibrillation, Atrial Fibrillation, Sudden Cardiac Arrest including Normal Sinus Rhythm). Multi-Layer Perceptron neural network classifier is proposed for this classification. Neural networks are strongly capable of learning and prediction which makes them an efficient tool to deal with nonlinear problems depending on their training data set size. With this proposed work, the classification accuracy is obtained as 98.8% and the medical statistics are obtained as Sensitivity (S) 97.6%, Positive Predictivity (Pp)-98.7% and Specificity (Sp)-99.7%. With the rapid advancement of digital processors, filters have been commonly implemented using microcomputers. In this study, a low-cost and compact arduino uno development board was used to realize digital lead and lag compensators. arduino boards are very affordable. Consequently, they were investigated to see if they were capable of preserving the frequency response of continuous-time compensators. The experiments required a set of equipment including a function generator, an arduino uno development board, a PC-based oscilloscope, and a laptop. The signal frequency was varied from 0 to 500 Hz. Two discretization methods were employed, namely bilinear transformation and matched pole-zero mapping. The results showed that an arduino uno board can be utilized to implement lead and lag compensators to some extent. The discrete-time compensator preserved the capability of filtering out certain frequencies. The change in DC gain was negligible, however, there was a significant difference in the cut-off frequency and transient slope. For both discretization methods, the frequency responses at high frequency experienced a rippling profile.
