Bicycle crushes with automobile vehicles in roads mostly in curved roads and kills thousands of bicyclist with great injuries in every year. This fact indicates the importance of advancement in conventional vehicle systems. This paper presents a prototype model of smart bicycle safety system using arduino Mega 2560 and arduino uno Rev3. The system consists of hand gesture and push button to show turn direction of rider, send messages along with location if rider is in trouble and indicates if it is safe to take a turn or not. The system is very cost efficient and provides safety and security for riders of bicycle and other low-end vehicles.

This paper presents an embedded arduino uno driven thermoelectric energy harvesting system which yields hot water as an output. In the proposed system, a mirrored offset feed parabolic dish has been employed which is capable of reflecting the light radiations, and collecting them atthe focal point of parabolic dish where the hot surface of the thermoelectric modulecomprising of an array of 12 thermoelectric generators has been installed. Thesun ray's collected at the focal point heat up the TEG's surface facing towards the dish whereas the opposite side of the TEG's surface is cooled by the cold water. The temperature gradient developed between the two sides of TEG module generates electrical output voltage by principle of Seebeck effect. The fluctuating electrical output voltage obtained from the TEG module has been smoothened/filtered and employed to drive arduino uno microcontroller which drives/rotates the mirrored parabolic dish at a step angle of 6.25degrees after every 30 minutes by employing geared dc motor to track the sun. The proposed system employs timing/clocking method to rotate the dish and track the sun instead of sensor based tracking method because sensor based tracking system generally fails in poor weather or cloudy conditions to track the sun. The water gets heated by the convective propagation of heat from hot side to the cold side which results in the heating of water on the cold side of TEG module. The proposed system has been experimentally tested and validated for the satisfactory performance. The performance of proposed system has also been tested by employing static parabolic dish for harvesting the electrical output voltage and it has been found that the dynamic system is 6.99 percent more efficient than the static system.

The main goal of this project is to design a very precise solar tracker. The project is divided into two parts;hardware and software. Hardware part generally composed of solar panel, two-DC motors with gearbox, LDR sensor module and electronic circuit. Software part represents the thinking behavior of the system, that is how the system acting under several weather conditions. In this work sensing of the sun position carried out in two stages primary and secondary. Primary stage or indirect sensing performed via sun-earth relationship as a coarse adjustment and second stage or direct sensing performed via set of LDR sensors as output tuning to trims the azimuth and altitude angles. If the weather is cloudy or dusty, the tracking system uses primary stage or sun-earth geometrical relationships only to identify the location of the sun;so the system tracks the position of the sun regardless the weather condition. The energy extracted from photovoltaic (PV) or any solar collector depends on solar irradiance. For maximum extraction of energy from the sun, the solar collector panel should always be normal to the incident radiation Solar trackers moves the solar collector to follow the sun path and keeps the orientation of the solar collector at an optimal tilt angle. Solar tracking system improves substantially the energy efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) panel. In this paper, an automatic dual axis solar tracking system is designed and developed using Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) and DC motors on a mechanical structure with gear arrangement. Two-axis solar tracking (azimuth angle as well as altitude angle) is implemented through arduino uno controller based on Sun-Earth Geometry. The results indicated that the automatic solar tracking system is more reliable and efficient than fixed one.

Nowadays most institutions follow a cumbersome method to monitor the attendance of the students manually. The manual method of calling the students and marking the status of it on the book is prolonged and insecure. This paper, designed a new paradigm of monitoring student's attendance using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Global System for Mobile (GSM) communication technology based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The proposed model consists of both hardware and software parts based on IoT technology. The hardware part consists of components like EM-19 RFID reader, RFID tags, and GSM module. The software part consists of Application Programming Interface (API) to send information instantly to the registered mobile phone. The proposed system works effectively decimating the information of student status to their respective parents/guardian and even authenticated person with valid credentials can access the database from the server from any place and time.

This paper presents a cooking technology consisting of a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) based Electric Cooker with a feature of temperature control which can be operated by both solar panel or battery. Perturb & Observe method has been used as the algorithm of the MPPT which ensures battery charging by drawing Maximum Power from the PV Panel. Temperature control has been performed by using K-type thermocouple using relay. The hardware study has been done by using Photovoltaic (PV) Panel, MPPT, Temperature control circuit and battery. Time for cooking different food items has been observed and other necessary data have been analyzed to evaluate the performance of the electric cooker.

Line maze solving algorithm is an algorithm used to solve a maze made of lines to be traced by a mobile robot. But it is designed only for lines with right angle intersection or turn. Meanwhile in real world, there are also curved and zig-zag turn. In this work, this algorithm is tested for curved and zig-zag track by using arduino uno. It turns out that line maze solving algorithm still has some deficiencies, even for the maze without curved and zig-zag line. Moreover, for the curved and zig-zag track, algorithm improvements are needed. Therefore, some of existing functions has been modified and replaced, and one new function added. When the improvements have been done, new algorithm is obtained. Then the test is done again on the mobile robot in a line maze with curved and zig-zag track. The result has proven that the new algorithm has successfully solved the maze.

Health care is the most important aspect of any society and is fundamental need for every citizen of every country. However, most developing countries face lack of proper health care resources to cater to the needs of every citizen. In critical cases, the patients have to be continuously monitored for their bio-parameters and immediate response from doctors is essential. So, it is most essential to improve the healthcare infrastructure. The emerging trend in healthcare sector) change the existing healthcare services and change the routine medical check-ups-from hospital centric to person centric. Here, A Holistic Approach for thc Development of Real Time Patient Health Monitoring and Alerting through IOT is proposed and implemented using ThingSpeak site as the cloud. This work presents thc design and construction of a working prototype for smart health care system using Internet of Things which can provide Quality Health Care to everyone. In this system, the prototype developed uses an embedded system built using Atmega328 microcontroller and it is programmed using arduino IDE. The prototype gathers biomedical and orientation information from sensors and location information from GPS of the monitored person and convey them to healthcare cloud system utilizing IOT platfornt. The sensor data is sent to the network through Wi-Fi link. The Thingspeak channel is updated at- regular intervals and helps to maintain the medical history of the patient. The Thingspeak cloud computing handles authentication, privateness, safety, and data management and provides accessibility. The system obtains the paratneter valus and compares them with the standard values and in the case of an emergency, a local alarm is triggered and an SMS text tnessage is sent to the doctor with the details of authentication. The data from cloud plattrnm can be accessed by the concerned doctor anytime, after a proper authentication and diagnosis and decisions can be made. The data can be accessed only by

In country like India demand of energy increases with increase in population so the use of renewable and natural sources of energy like wind energy, tidal energy, solar energy etc is the need of time in country. In this paper we present development and experimental study of two axis automatic control of solar tracking system using arduino. In hardware development five light dependent resistors (LDR) has been used to sense and gather maximum solar energy. Two permanent magnet DC motors are used to move the solar dish according to the solar energy sensed by LDR. In software part we design a controller which will move the collector dish to track the sun. The controller uses LDR sensors as input and permanent magnet DC geared motors as an output. LDR are used to sense the intensity of light and generate the signals which will be further processed by ATmega328 microcontroller. Microcontroller executes the algorithm and gives control command to motor driver. This paper describes development of automatic dual axis solar tracking system for solar parabolic dish.
