The rapid growth of technology has been applied to different areas of a person's daily routine. One of the areas is the automation system that is being applied to our spaces. This study uses the Kalman filtering and Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) algorithm for the motion detection of the system connected to the main controller, which is the arduino uno, wherein the electric load state and time of the day will be programmed. The researchers tested the system in a room, measuring the accuracy of the motion algorithm, the time set for the scheduling feature, and the energy consumed with and without the prototype. In summary, the automated system of the study with the MATLAB algorithm, Kalman filtering, and GMM with time scheduling through arduino can indeed be a cost-effective, energy-saving, and helpful tool that can apply to office spaces.

The purpose of this research is the design of the water clarity monitoring system in the aquarium can detect the level of clarity/turbidity of water at a certain level, using arduino uno Microcontroller as a controlling center, and LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) as a sensor. The quality of water relating to the status of clarity during the water, increasingly clear water and the quality of the water is right. Design methodology created using a closed control system. The design results show that the tool designed to control the clarity of the water in the aquarium.

With the continuous growth in urbanization and industrialization, there is a rapid increase in the quantity of waste being produced every day. We are dumping the waste generated every day in landfills all over. If we adopt proper segregation procedure for the generated waste, it is possible to utilize and recycle the waste effectively. In this paper, a cost-effective Automated Waste Segregator system for the segregation of waste at the household level is implemented. The proposed segregator system segregates the waste into three types, viz., metallic, wet and dry, and in addition, separating dry waste further into paper and plastic. Here, arduino uno board is used as the main controller and various sensors are used to detect each type of waste, which is segregated and thrown into the respective bins. Using this automatic waste segregator system, the separated wastes can be sent directly for recycling.

The current electricity needs is very primary, all objects including electronics require power, it encourages people not to be able to save electricity so the theft of electric power would be done. The use of ACS712 current sensor as the sensor with arduino uno would find out the power consumption continuously and prevent the theft of electricity because of the use of electricity which has been determined by PLN and the people fetl that it is not enough for every house, so the author made a tool for prevention of theft of electric power by using the arduino uno, buzzer, ACS712 current sensor, lcd, and relay then the power usage can be controlled according to the use to prevent the occurrence of theft of electricity so the use can be seen directly on the lcd 16x2and GSM modem to give information to employees of PLN so that it can reduceelectrical theft by the public.

The design, virtual prototyping and hardware implementation of a DC-DC converter targeted for converting 12 V from the lead acid battery to 5 V for feeding all the DC loads in a residential system is discussed in this paper. The increase of residential DC loads, especially at 5 V level, demands efficient power conversion system. The conventional residential distribution system, in the presence of battery for power backup, contains an inverter that converts the 12 V DC into 230 V, 50 Hz AC which is distributed to all the sockets in the residence. For charging or operating the 5 V DC appliances, an AC-DC converter converts the 230 V AC into 5 V DC. It could be clearly seen that two AC-DC conversions take place where a single DC-DC conversion could do the job more efficiently. The apt selection of such a converter for this application is discussed followed by its design. Also, the virtual prototyping for this converter is implemented in MATLAB to mimic the digital controller's function. Another highlight of this paper is owed to the use of arduino uno for this purpose which gave rise to promising results when implemented in the hardware.

Autonomous dam and drainage system is a system which does not require to operate by hand. Nowadays water logging due to tide has become a great problem. In this paper, an automatic dam gate system has been proposed to automatically control dam gate without human effort. An autonomous dam gate system has been developed which can be used to protect the low-lying area from the tidal water as well as it can also he used in an irrigation canal, power plant, factories etc. The system is capable of sensing drain water and tidal water. By sensing drain water, it controls a pump to irrigate excessive water. DC motors are used to control the movement of dam gates. arduino uno is used as the processor. A control box is provided to control and observe the condition of the whole system.

Internet-of-Things (IoT) technology addresses the issues of water loss by efficiently monitoring the water levels, spotting leaks, and refill tanks when needed Notably, this technology can also supply end users and other expert's real real-time feedback through a smartphone or webpage. Review articles on smart water monitoring, including water quality, supply pipe water pipes, and recycling water waste, and freely on hand in the literature. One of the most prevalent issues worldwide is water leaks in the pipes. The local water distribution authorities typically have trouble in finding the fault's location. Numerous things, like the pipeline's aging or ongoing construction in cities, can result in leaks. This research study intends to create an Internet of Things (IoT)-based leak detection system using the arduino IDA open source software. To measure water flow, we designed a prototype with two sensors at the destination and the origin. If leakage appears, a message will be sent to the user's mobile phone. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, both developed and developing nations, including India, have become extremely interested in the concept of smart cities. With the advancement of electronics and communication technologies like the Internet of Things, the idea of a 'smart city' now seems to be feasible (10 T). loT research is actively being conducted to improve the dependability and efficiency of urban infrastructure. loT is employed to deal with issues like traffic jams, a lack of parking spaces, and road safety. This objective of this research is to is to make efficient use ofparking spaces especially in metropolitan cities like Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore. Using an arduino uno and various types of sensors, the smart car parking system has been designed and developed in this paper. The suggested smart parking system uses an on-site loT module to detect and find the availability of parking place via mobile applications. The loT module that is deployed on-site as part of the proposed smart parking system is used to track and signal the availability of parking space via mobile applications. Here, keep track of open parking spaces and assign those to users. If one is available near the user's location, it displays it. It eases traffic congestion on roadways, in shopping malls, and in multi-store buildings because parking places are few. Users of Mobile Telnet can also check the availability of parking spaces and reserve a spot in accordance. © 2022 IEEE.

This work includes the design and development of a real time web system for the generation of urban environmental maps from the capture of data of environmental parameters through low cost meteorological mini-stations assembled with arduino technology and environmental quality sensors (Internet of things), this in order to obtain reports about the environmental status of the urban area of the district of Punchana. This work arises as an alternative to the problem of the scarce data for the study of the climatic change and the natural phenomena associated to these, that come giving along the time in Peru, besides being a system of low cost that allows its production in mass with regard to the traditional meteorological stations that are used at the present time by diverse institutions of the environment. For the purpose of the study, six environmental parameters were considered, suggested by SENAMHI experts. Thus, it was defined to study the levels of Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG), Smoke, Environmental Temperature (degrees C), Relative Humidity and Ultraviolet Radiation. This work allowed checking the efficiency of data capture through low-cost meteorological mini-stations and the generation of environmental maps where the environmental status of the urban area of Punchana, Loreto, Peru, can be seen reflected, besides being a base work for later works involving environmental monitoring services.

This work intends to create a model that will be used to clean rivers. The designed model can effectively clean the solid waste that is floating in the river. The main societal purpose of this system is to clean rivers, lakes, ponds, etc. When rivers needed to be cleaned manually, people would board boats and dump their waste near the river's edge. Nevertheless, these methods are costly, time-consuming, and hazardous to people. A river cleaning system that uses Bluetooth has been created with the aforementioned requirements in mind to eliminate the drawbacks listed above. The main objective of the project is to decrease the time and labour required for the machine to clean the river, hence increasing its effectiveness. In this suggested job, we were able to remotely control the river cleaning process with the help of Bluetooth and a motor. © 2023 IEEE.
