The global population is increasing in an unexpected rate;its direct impact is the pressure on the agricultural sector. In other words, the demand for food is growing day by day, so innovation in the agricultural sector is one of the most important duties of the Engineers today. In this project, an arduino based Automatic Irrigation System backed up by cloud/server has been developed that serves two major purposes. Firstly, it reduces the manpower needed in the fields as the water supply will be automatic. This also indicates one farmer can now take care of one or more crop, which ultimately leads to an increase in yield. Secondly, with the automation of water supply, crops get the exact amount of water needed considering all the factors like its breed, the season, moisture retentivity and various other factors. We expect an increase in the crop quality with the advent of this technology.

Currently, there is a significant increase in incidents of drunk driving and road accidents, primarily caused by drivers who lack control over their vehicles. Approximately 31% of traffic crash fatalities in the United States are attributed to drivers who were under the influence of alcohol. The number of fatalities resulting from these avoidable collisions in 2021 amounted to 13,384 individuals. Over a span of 10 years, the average number of fatalities amounted to 10,850 individuals. Implementing an engine locking system that incorporates alcohol detection can effectively mitigate the occurrence of accidents caused by intoxicated driving. An engine locking system that incorporates alcohol detection technology can prove highly beneficial for law enforcement agencies. It offers an automated safety solution for automobiles and other vehicles. While it is not possible for a person to expedite their sobriety, there are several methods that can enhance their alertness and give the appearance of being more sober. One such solution is the implementation of alcohol detection and engine locking system. When a dri ver attempts to operate the vehicle while heavily intoxicated, the MQ3/BAC sensor detects the presence of alcohol. If the alcohol concentration exceeds a certain threshold, a signal is transmitted to the arduino uno. Based on this signal, the engine will be deactivated. This measure has the potential to decrease the occurrence of accidents caused by driving under the influence of alcohol, hence minimizing the risk of fatalities and property damage resulting from drunk driving. In this article a comprehensive study is carried out on various alcohol detection and engine locking systems using arduino. The various components used in each of the systems are analyzed.

Automation is one of the considerable developments in the new innovations. It is best technique to execute in the fields of medical i.e. observing the patient condition. In this paper oxygen levels are controlled precisely by utilizing fuzzy logic. Here the beat rate and the ECG qualities are chosen the pressure variation of the oxygen. To quantify the Heart beat and blood oxygen levels we used Pulse Sensor Amped. The ECG signs can be caught by utilizing the AD8232 ECG sensor. The Heartbeat, SPO2 levels, and ECG sensors are associated with the arduino uno hoard. The Bin-data from the sensors, which is associated with arduino uno, is given to the MATLAB through Serially. The fuzzy logic is utilized to control the Oxygen levels at the patients end. This kind of automated oxygen level control is much useful to the patients and the paramedical staff viably to observe the patient condition.

With the world moving towards modernized technologies, use of carbon fuels, such as Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is in reach within users;domestically and industrially. Even in some developing countries, such as countries within the South East Asian belt, natural gas is supplied at a fixed rate with unrestrained amount for usage. With that being said, this increases the probability of wastage;and hence from this kind of wastage of this invisible and odorless gas, comes the chance of accidents. LPG and natural gas is highly combustible and can burn even at some distance from the source of outflow. Most flame related mishaps occur due to the spillage of gas. The project in this paper aims to help LPG user by notifying on any unnoticed gas emission or leakage accident through alarming them as well as creating opportunities for them to take critical and immediate actions;so that the damages to loves and wealth can be avoided or minimized. The proposed gas leakage detection system will detect gas within a certain area using a MQ2 sensor and any moment a gas leakage due to a vital mistake or pipe crack is sensed, it will immediately turn on a ventilation system for the leaked gas to pass out. The system includes a GSM module, which makes the user or owner of the place observant by sending a text message on their phones. In addition to that, in order to maximize the range of the people notified, a buzzer and LCD module is employed so that the residents next door can also be made aware of this mishap.

In this paper, the arduino based Intruder Detection System employing Rochelle Salt and Pyro-electric or Passive infrared (PIR) Sensor has been proposed. The proposed system employs Rochelle salt based sensor and PIR sensor supervised simultaneously by arduino uno. The Rochelle salt (Potassium Sodium Tartrate) exhibits piezoelectric properties in response to applied mechanical stress. The PIR sensor responds to Infrared (IR) radiating objects moving in its viewing range. The PIR detection is done by creating temporary electric potential whenever a change in IR radiations occurs within the viewing range of the sensor. The Rochelle salt and PIR sensor work independent of each other. The novelty of the system lies in its utilization of the Rochelle salt as sensing element for security purposes. The 20 grams of powder Rochelle salt is capable enough to generate 290mV. When the intruder enters the restricted area, the sensors sense the intruder and an alarm is triggered. In case, if one of the sensors stops working, it doesn't affect the working of the other sensor. The time variation of the buzzer helps in recognizing how far the intruder is from the restricted area.

Garbage classification has become a concern in our country and even in the world. Although in recent years, Chinese governments at all levels have issued relevant laws and regulations to regulate residents' garbage classification, but because people do not realize the significance of garbage classification and lack of knowledge of garbage classification, the implementation effect of garbage classification is not ideal. Therefore, how to improve residents' garbage classification knowledge and enthusiasm is particularly important. In this paper, an interactive device for garbage classification is designed and produced based on the open source platform Processing and arduino. The device includes two parts: hardware interaction and software game interaction. If the player chooses the correct garbage category in the hardware interaction part, the game interface part will get the corresponding score and make the mountains, tree and river in the game gradually turn green and blue. The device can not only make the players master the knowledge of garbage classification, but also make the players intuitively feel that the correct garbage classification is the practical significance of environmental protection, which integrates knowledge and interest, and has certain application value.

This paper introduces an underground fault location model of cable using arduino and GSM (Global system for mobile communication) module, used for remote indication to diminish power outages and heavy loss of profit by sending SMS to main control room so the field engineer can resolve the issue of an exact fault location. In underground system, occurrence of fault is rare and is difficult to locate the exact position of fault to overcome this problem, we came up with the idea presented in paper. The main aim is to diagnose the open circuit and three phase short circuit faults distance from base-station in kilometers. This prototype is congregated with a set of resistors showing length of cable in kilometers and a set of switches are used to create fault at every known kilometer to determine the exactness and results regarding fault readings, is displayed on a LCD connected with the arduino uno board. Further NI Multisim software is used to simulate the fault. This project is beneficial in reducing the cost, production losses by saving the time and efforts for sectionalization of faults and improving the power availability to consumers through an enhancement of overall efficiency of power nets.

The presented fire suppression mechanism is a self-monitoring system that detects the existence of fire between a specific range of wavelength and suppresses the fire by spreading water flowing via multiple sprinkler-heads. The controlling unit used to manipulate the fire suppression mechanism is an arduino uno. The major advantage of this system is its capability to detect fire fast and run water through dedicated pipes using solenoid valve. Fire is an undesirable event that could cause a great loss of social wealth, human life, and confidential amenities. To prevent these losses, various extinguishing systems have already been developed, such as sprinkler heads with temperature sensitive valve and temperature sensor based systems. These systems come with a high chance of delayed sensing and human error that can mislead the sensing and hence the whole system in general. Our fire suppression system, on the other hand, is extremely well thought out;it has no chance of human error as it is fully self-sufficient. The room or the area will have dedicated overhead sprinklers connected to the water supply through its dedicated solenoid valve which controls the flow of water in the pipelines. The triggering devices of this system are the flame sensors, when they detect fire an alarm will go off. The Algorithm set in the arduino will come into work and an optimal voltage will be provided to the solenoid valve through a relay, hence water will rush out the sprinklers to extinguish the fire in no time. The sensors used are highly sensitive[ 5], thus it will detect fire even before it reaches a point of concern. Unlike other systems, the components we used are readily available and reasonable in price. Also, the system has been tested to extinguish fire in real-world scale. Our automated fire suppression system can be used both for commercial and residential purposes.

Mosquitoes and other insects are harmful for humans as they can cause many diseases which are harmful for human health. In order to avoid the mosquitoes, people use chemical repellents which affect the environment adversely or mosquito repeller skin creams can create skin problems. This paper proposes the smart ultrasonic insect repelling system driven by harvesting energy from solar panels. The ultrasonic waves have frequencies more than 20,000 Hz which are inaudible to humans but when insects come in the contact with ultrasonic waves, they sense the waves from special hair or sensilla present on the antennae of mosquitoes which will create stress on the nervous system and jam their own ultrasonic frequency and force them to leave that area. The frequency ranges of 38-44 kHz can be used effectively to repel the mosquitoes and flies. The system employs solar panel as energy source to charge the rechargeable 12V battery which is used to drive the arduino uno to turn on and turn off the mosquito repeller system. The proposed smart mosquito repeller system can be used to repel mosquitos from within the area of 125 square meters.

In this communication, several modules are presented to carry out practices with a microcontroller, initially with the PIC16F88, which was later conditioned to be used by the ATMeg328 on the arduino uno platform. Finally, a new module is presented with the ATMega328, but on the arduino NANO platform. The practice modules consist of a printed circuit board where the necessary components are incorporated to carry out the practices planned with this device in the Digital Electronics subject. In this way, time is saved in assembly and security is gained in operation, so that the student can focus on the programming and operation of the device. These boards have been used for several years with numerous students and have worked perfectly.
