In our society, the trashcans are placed at public places in the cities and it is overflowing due to tremendous growth of the waste production every day. It leads to spreading of some diseases and proliferating human ailment, to avoid such situation we have designed "Intelligent Bin Management System for Smart City using Mobile Application". The main objective of our paper is to monitor and manage the waste materials and create awareness about the current system of management activities. The conventional way of manually monitoring the waste in waste bins is extremely sluggish process and utilizes more human efforts and time which can easily be avoided with present technologies. This paper practically demonstrates how internet of things (IOT) Integration with data access networks and electronics engineering can contribute to enhance cities management systems. We have presented a waste collection solution based on providing intelligence to trashcans, by using an Internet of things (IOT) prototype embedded with sensors, which can read, collect and transmit trash volume data over the GSM network.

The system proposed in this paper consists of a single unit, which will monitor the environment in various hazardous conditions and provide live video feedback. Basics of robotics like sensors and actuators, gives an overview on robotic construction. The proposed system is also able to capture real-time videos which are useful for surveillance for a specific person or area. Controlling of Robot is done using a Raspberry Pi3 processor. This robot is more comfortable for military applications such as surveillance of interested area. It will provide tactical advantage during hostage situations or in hostile grounds. It is capable of walking on any surface and providing monitoring over an area. With the help of high quality video transmission the surveillance become more effective. Video quality is improvised in the proposed system. These will prove important in applications like robots for civil use and military robots.

The advancement of wireless technology is becoming more apparent in industrial sectors with the advent of standards such as WirelessHART. The benefits associated with WirelessHART includes elimination of costly and cumbersome cabling, reduced maintenance cost and reduced deployment, redeployment in the network. However, the current WirelessHART is lack of low cost adapter for monitoring and control application in process industries. In this work, a low cost WirelessHART adapter is developed using a mote and microcontroller (arduino mega 2560) for process monitoring application. Experimental results with temperature transmitter shows that the developed adapter is successfully interfaced and the temperature data is monitored continuously at a satisfactory delay.

This article is dedicated to the realization of a GPS cycle computer, of which modules is composed and connected. The first section devoted to realization of GPS cycle computer basing on arduino mega 250 microcontroller. In the second section, it deals with the description of program functions which will test and compare with selected parameters of a GPS computer. In the third section, the article describes creation of a bicycle wheel model, the parts of which is built and how these parts work. Finally, it describes the design of the bicycle wheel model and the testing and comparison of the parameters. At the end, the test parameters are compared. It was found that the measured parameters between the stepper motor and the magnetic sensor were identical, but there was a difference between the engine and the GPS cycle engine.

Internet of Things (IoT) is an interconnection among devices or "things" that exchange data between them. A man-in-the-middle can be performed when two IoT devices are communicating, therefore secure data transmission between IoT devices has emerged as a challenging task. There are numbers of existing cryptography algorithms that offers protection. However, their utilization in IoT is questionable since the hardware is not suitable for inexpensive yet efficient encryption process. This paper proposed implementation of Grain as the winner for eSTREAM project and compare all version of Grain, i.e Grain v0, Grain v1 and Grain 128 in arduino mega 2560 as it used as a single board computer for IoT. The result shows that there is no significant difference in encryption-decryption processing time. While, in generating keystream, Grain 128 will take more time when implemented in arduino mega 2560.

This article presents the development of a low-cost microcontroller-based interface for a microbioreactor operation. An arduino mega 2560 board with 54 digital input/outputs, including 15 pulse-width-modulation outputs, has been chosen to perform the acquisition and control of the microbioreactor. The microbioreactor (volume = 800 mu L) was made of poly(dimethylsiloxane) and poly(methylmethacrylate) polymers. The reactor was built to be equipped with sensors and actuators for the control of reactor temperature and the mixing speed. The article discusses the circuit of the microcontroller-based platform, describes the signal conditioning steps, and evaluates the capacity of the proposed low-cost microcontroller-based interface in terms of control accuracy and system responses. It is demonstrated that the proposed microcontroller-based platform is able to operate parallel microbioreactor operation with satisfactory performances. Control accuracy at a deviation less than 5% of the set-point values and responses in the range of few seconds have been recorded.

The development of a semi-autonomous intimation system to parents about the presence of their child in school or college campus is the objective of this Project. If a student bunked his/her class or abducted from school or college, their parents might know that after 6pm only. Here we proposed a new solution to send quick intimation to their parents about the presence of students through school or college bus at 9.30am. By this we can track the children and save them early if any mischief is happening. For this we are using an RFID reader, GPS tracker and GSM module along with an arduino mega 2560 and its software. RFID readers can read the RFID tags of the students. GSM system is used to send their presence to their parents through SMS. To achieve this, a passive or active tracking device with GPS is used. Passive devices store GPS location, speed and time. Once the vehicle returns to a predestined point, the device is removed and the data downloaded to a computer for evaluation. By this we can get arrival and departure locations of the students. Active devices also collect the same information, but usually transmit the data in near-real-time via cellular or satellite networks to a computer or data center for evaluation. It is used to track the location of a vehicle from organizing itself. 随着信息化、智能化设备的普及,现在人们也希望在家居环境中添加各种智能化的设备,能将家电设备、家居环境因数通过无处不在的网络联系起来,这也是智能家居系统的原始构想。智能家居系统是一种网络化、信息化、智能化的系统,在合适的硬件和软件的组合下,将家居环境中的设备通过网络实现物物相连的功能,同时也将家居环境中的各种环境因素也添加到网络中,满足了人们通过网络控制家电设备了解家居环境因素的要求,进而可以满足人们对家居环境更高级需求,而这些要求是传统家居无法完成的。智能家居系统中最重要的是核心控制器,它是连接家居家电设备、家居环境以及终端控制设备的桥梁,目前国内外对智能家居研究中,一般都选择单片机与ARM作为核心控制器。本文选择arduino mega 2560作为核心控制器,就稳定而言,arduino mega 2560比单片机、ARM更加稳定实用,而且arduino无论是硬件还是软件都是开源的,这就意味着可以查看和下载其源码,更加方便用来设计智能家居控制系统。本论文的设计思想是将家电智能化、家居安防、家居环境监测、局域网控制以及远程控制等功能集中到一个综合管理系统上。系统选用蓝牙作为局域网控制的纽带,选用GSM网络作为远程控制的媒介,并为解决现在市场上红外家电设备难以控制的难题,设计了一种红外转发器,代替红外遥控器,免去了家居环境多遥控、使用必须在一定范围的问题,考虑到智能手机的普及,本文选用手机作为移动终端控制设备,而不在设计另外的终端控制设备,这样既方便又省去了携带的烦恼。此外,该系统还具备良好的可扩展性和对不同家居环境的适应性,可以根据不同家居的需要,进行功能的裁剪、增添和移植等。

It has researched and developed the assistive robot for the elderly and its control system. The whole unit is wheeled mobile with mechanical arms that are of triple degree of freedom structure, with its terminal actuator fixed and connected thereon. There is SMS module, SD card module, MP3 and radio broadcast module, heart rate sensor, CO sensor, temperature and moisture sensor and illumination sensor on the car in order to effectively assist the elderly. The infrared tube location and ultrasonic transducer are applied to realize obstacle avoidance. This software is based on IDE development environment, robot control algorithm, through arduino mega 2560 serial port communication to realize the control on the mechanical arm and the sensors. The reasonability and effectiveness of this design have been verified in the experimental test on its color recognition and capture by the sample machine in the lab.
