Recent SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and environmental disasters have emphasized the importance of rapid and efficient sensing platforms. Scientists have focused on developing portable sensing platforms to avoid using bulky and high-cost analytical equipment. Smartphones are the most accessible gadgets with integrated sensors to perform analytical analysis. However, the constant advances and competition in smartphones result in upgrades to smartphones, including their sensors, every year. Moreover, differences in smartphones' sensor and image processing algorithms that vary from model to model complicate the standardization of readers. arduino microcontroller-based readers have been investigated as an alternative to the smartphone data reader. Although arduino-based sensors are not as portable as smartphones and cannot perform other tasks than they are developed and programmed for, they are usually built from a limited number of components, thus simplifying their standardization. In this review, we outline the different approaches used to develop smartphone-based analytical sensors and the development of arduino-based sensors. These approaches will mainly focus on developing novel sensing platforms, the choice of smartphone sensors, and data processing methods. We also discuss the application of smartphone- and arduino-based sensors for biochemical and environmental monitoring.

Robots are extensively used in industries for their precision work and amount of work that one can obtain without any defects. In this paper we are using a gantry robot for as it does not occupy the floor space therefore reducing the distance for reachability of the parts and hence reducing unnecessary material for guide way. Robots work in strictly defined path and there is no or very little change in such systems in order to overcome this we are using a vision based control system to make the system dynamic in nature the images are picked by using a USB camera processed images of the object is transmitted via serial communication to the arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller and processed using pythons open source computer vision (Open CV) image to process the image captured by the USB camera to find the exact colour and to pick the object and sort it. Traffic congestion has significantly worsened in our country during the past few years, disrupting the everyday routine of modern cities and their environments. Cities grow in size as a result of rising population, which also causes a huge increase in the number of vehicles using the roadways. Numerous difficulties, including squandered fuel, air pollution, and delays in transportation, exist. Therefore, the largest challenge facing traffic management authorities is monitoring and controlling traffic. We create and implement real-time traffic monitoring systems utilizing sensor technologies and the Internet of Things (IoT) platform. The volume of vehicle traffic at the lanes is monitored by this system using ultrasonic sensors;the controller receives the information and sends it to the web server through a Wi-Fi module. The server processes and saves the tracked data. A strategy for managing traffic signals that is based on analyzing traffic density at the lanes is used in this instance to control traffic. When there is a lot of traffic in a lane, passing cars have precedence. To send and receive data, RF transceivers employ messages about traffic from the priority system to the main system. This technology, which is dependable, easy to use, and inexpensive, is provided at the intersection of lanes. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

arduino-Based Novel Hardware Design for Liquid Helium Level Measurement

Liquid helium (LHe) is used as a cryogen in a variety of applications involving superconductivity and is routinely monitored for conducting low-temperature experiments. Thermoacoustic oscillations, which are inevitably present inside closed LHe containers, are utilized for level detection by sensing the vibrations at the warm end of a thin capillary tube inserted into the Dewar. The position of the capillary tube at which a sudden change occurs in these oscillations is manually sensed to identify the liquid level. The present work proposes a novel hardware design to identify the thermoacoustic oscillations in a reliable way using an accelerometer driven by an arduino microcontroller. Further, an automated approach has been devised to quantify the rate of change of these helium oscillations to measure the LHe level. The proposed method has been tested during several trials on a 120 L and 100 L capacity Dewar using the proposed hardware, and the mean error in measuring the LHe level was calculated to be less than 1 cm in comparison with the gold standard niobium-titanium level sensor. The results encourage the use of the proposed method to evolve as a cost-effective alternative to the widely used superconducting level sensors in measuring LHe level.

The study of chaotic systems with special properties addresses one of the ongoing research topics. In this paper, we introduce a new class of third-order chaotic systems possessing a cyclic symmetry obeying unidirectional or mutual coupling. These new models are built by considering nonlinearities with three, four, or five segments and are distinguished from each other by the topological structure of the associated chaotic attractor. The projection of the novel chaotic attractors on certain planes reveals their multiscroll or multiwing character. For illustration, one of these models is studied in detail using analytical and numerical methods. The mechanism giving rise to the establishment of the chaotic regime starting from the state of equilibrium under the variation of a parameter is described using bifurcation diagrams, phase portraits, basins of attraction as well as the maximum Lyapunov exponent. Several zones of parameters are identified where the model experiences two or more attractors (i.e. multistability). In order to demonstrate the practical feasibility of the proposed circulant models, a series of experimental measurements are carried out using a physical implementation with an arduino microcontroller.

This paper presents the design and development of electronics armor shirt for the shooting clash training practices using arduino microcontroller board. Normally, DSI's training shooting clash practice will have a cost a lot of money for each practice. The training practice of clashing cannot be able to real ammunition because of a dangerous during clash training practice. The challenge of this research is the accuracy and reliability of training equipment, also the low price and high-performance system by using the arduino board. The reason is we making this. Because we want the goal to be mention for DSI organization requested this system. The reason is we making this. Because we want the goal to be mentioned for DSI organization requested this system and it does this mean it was tested with the DSI practices already. Therefore, my research team developed a prototype of a collision-based shooting practice device between law enforcement and the opponent using a real gun loaded with practice ammunition. Which will be score counted for shot the target to laser sensors on armor, the key organs of the shooting practice partner, such as "dead point", coma point and the score data will be sent to the coach's smartphone via Android Packet Kit (.apk) file in real-time so that he can be observed. This system has the advantage of reducing the budget for each training session. They are also able to search for electronic devices for easy, cheap construction and high reliability. If this research can be put into production, it will be very useful for government agencies because of the advantage of this research is resulting in budget savings in training and the limitation is the amount of Bluetooth per shirt only.

In the work, a software model based on the graph-based SLAM methodology is developed using the LIDAR technology, which allows direct and automatic control of the mobile robot in real-time. The architecture of the developed software and the main algorithms on which the work of the system is based is described. The technical support provided by the arduino microcontroller is developed. Examples of application of built-in software are given.

Over the past few decades, considerable attention has been given to structural control systems to mitigate structural vibration under natural hazards such as earthquakes and extreme weather conditions. Traditional wired structural control systems often employ a large amount of cables for communication among sensors, controllers and actuators. In such systems, implementation of wired sensors is usually quite complicated and expensive, especially on large scale structures such as bridges and buildings. To reduce the laborious installation and maintenance cost, wireless control systems (WCSs) are considered as a novel approach for structural vibration control. In this work, a WCS is developed based on the open source arduino platform. Low cost, low power wireless sensing and communication components are built on the arduino platform. Structural control algorithms are embedded within the wireless sensor board for feedback control. The developed WCS is first validated through a series of tests. Next, numerical simulations are performed simulating wireless control of a 3-story shear structure equipped with a semi-active control device (MR damper). Finally, experimental studies are carried out implementing the WCS on the 3-story shear structure in the Intelligent Infrastructure Systems Lab (IISL). A hydraulic shake table is used to generate seismic ground motions. The control performance is evaluated with the impact of modeling uncertainties, measurement noises as well as time delay and data loss induced by the wireless network. The developed WCS is shown to be effective in controlling structural vibrations under several historical earthquake ground motions.
