This paper presents smart and optimal way of allocating power to the utility using global system for mobile communication module-based remote automatic energy meter reading system. The designed device is installed with the energy meter at consumer premises. A smart communication is established between service provider and consumer using GSM module which is capable of calculating the energy consumed at different tariff and time. An artificial neural network using back-propagation approach is employed to obtain optimal allocation of service provider to meet the objective function. The novel idea of smart energy metering not only reduces the cost of energy consumption but also helps in proper repayments, optimal usage of power based on time of day tariff, and theft control with higher reliability and greater flexibility. A smart real-time prototype of the automatic energy reading system was built to demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of automatic meter reading, billing, and notification through the use of global system for mobile communication network.

In the constant search for efficient industrial processes to guarantee high reliability, its environment has frequently witnessed more robust controllers to deal better with complex processes. In this context, this work presents the design of a Fuzzy Controller, embedded in an arduino Mega microcontroller. This project uses a Resistor-Capacitor circuit and a Direct Current motor to validate the fuzzy controller effectiveness and compare it with other control techniques: classical PID controller. In addition, it was considered the storage capacity of routines in the arduino board, regarding the dynamic memory according to the increase of new membership functions and rules. The fuzzy controller was embedded, where satisfactory results were obtained when compared to a PID controller, taking non-intrusive performance indices as validation parameters.

Agriculture industry in the Philippines is one of the most important aspects in the nation's economic growth and one of the well-known local resources in the Philippines is rice crops. This paper anticipates helping the ease in production of a good quality of rice by introducing a remote-controlled paddy transplanter machine that can provide an accurate planting depth and paddy distances. In this innovation of a mechanical transplanter in the Philippines, it has a remote-control system consisting of an arduino microcontroller, Bluetooth module, and other electronics component to make the transplanter move and operate by simply pressing the start and stop button on the software installed on the smartphone. The evaluation of the test results of the remote-controlled transplanter machine shows that it can transplant the paddy at a depth of 1.5 cm and paddy distance of 25 cm x 25 cm. Overall, the researchers were able to design, fabricate, and test the transplanter machine that has an effectiveness of 85% and 82.5% on the actual testing on the rice field.

I have seen many people who find it difficult to communicate with other due to language problem or due to problem in vocal chord. In a diverse country like INDIA where various types of mother tongues is spoken. People form one region of country when travelled to other region find it difficult to convey their message, which make it tedious to survive them in other region. So this data glove can convert the speaker language into the listener language which make it possible to easy communication between different language speaker. There is approximately 70 million people in world who are deaf and dumb. These people use sign language to communicate with each other. But the person with no disability in vocal chord does not learn sign language, this means that not everyone can understand sign language. So it will be a tedious task for deaf or dumb person to communicate with other person having no knowledge of sign language. This data glove can be used to replace code language which is used during war. A particular command can be converted into a gesture and the commanding officer have to make particular gesture using his hand and the command is displayed on the command receiving personnel. Data glove consists of flex sensor. In this prototype I have used 3 flex sensor which produce 8 output result. You can increase no of flex sensor up to 5 on one glove which can produce 32 output. The output produce by combination of flex sensor on data glove is in analog form which is feeded to ADC channel of arduino microcontroller. Tangential flow filtration (TFF) is a chemical unit operation used to purify and concentrate liquid suspensions of colloids, proteins, or cells. The solution flows tangentially across a membrane, such that a selective part of the fluid permeates the membrane while the filtrated matter is retained, increasing its concentration. TFF is a mild mechanical purification method that does not interact chemically with the filtrate. It is applied in sensitive separation tasks in protein chemistry, microbiology, or immunology. It is a fast alternative for dialysis applications, also applicable in the field of colloid purification. However, the costs of automated lab-scale devices (30,000 (sic)) and the consumable membrane modules (100-600 (sic)) make TFF currently hardly accessible for lab-scale polymer researchers. Therefore, we built a low-cost TFF system (2400 (sic)) partly automated by an arduino microcontroller and optimized for diafiltration buffer exchange and concentration processes in soft matter colloid research. We use medical hemodialysis membrane modules that only cost a share (20-50 (sic)) of alternative TFF modules, and we demonstrate the functionality of the system for an exemplary colloidal microgel purification process. The challenge of this research is the accuracy and reliability of training equipment, also the low price and high-performance system by using the arduino board. The reason is we making this. Because we want the goal to be mention for DSI organization requested this system. The reason is we making this. Therefore, my research team developed a prototype of a collision-based shooting practice device between law enforcement and the opponent using a real gun loaded with practice ammunition. Which will be score counted for shot the target to laser sensors on armor, the key organs of the shooting practice partner, such as "dead point", coma point and the score data will be sent to the coach's smartphone via Android Packet Kit (.apk) file in real-time so that he can be observed. This system has the advantage of reducing the budget for each training session. They are also able to search for electronic devices for easy, cheap construction and high reliability. If this research can be put into production, it will be very useful for government agencies because of the advantage of this research is resulting in budget savings in training and the limitation is the amount of Bluetooth per shirt only.

Background: Tactile stimulations systems are useful for studying the somatosensory system in children because they are innocuous and safe. Stimulators based on piezoelectric actuator are useful, but there is still a need for such systems capable of providing accurate and versatile control of timing and pattern of activation. New method: We have implemented a vibrotactile stimulating system useful for behavioral and electroencephalography (EEG) and magnetoencephalography (MEG) research. Our design goal was to create a system capable of providing up to five independently controlled mechanical stimulations with precise timing. We developed a Graphic User Interface (GUI) in LabVIEW, which controls a commercially available piezoelectric braille stimulator using an arduino based controller. We made a customized braille stimulator based on the Metec Braille device. Results: Our system can control up to five tactile stimulators with independent timing control and negligible errors. Although it can be directly used for behavioral and EEG research, the piezoelectric stimulators in our system generate stimulus artifacts that interfere with MEG recordings. A moving averaging subtraction algorithm we developed can remove the artifact. The stimulator can be used to measure somatic evoked magnetic fields from the somatosensory cortex of a child without the artifact. Comparison to existing methods: Our system provides an accurate independent control of one or more piezoelectric actuators using a GUI-based easy-to-control programming approach based on recent advances in embedded systems and software. Versatility and precise stimulation timing distinguish our system compared to existing somatic stimulators. Conclusions: Our system may be useful for somatic research.

This paper presents a novel gluing machine comprising a Cartesian robot and a vision system. The vision system enables the location and reconstruction of the shape of objects to be glued;the detected information is then used to plan the trajectory of the robot whose end-effector is a glue gun and to move the robot with an error suitable to industrial gluing operations. A calibration procedure that enables transforming coordinates between the robot frame and the vision system frame is described. The calibration considers several mechanical inaccuracies and its effectiveness was evaluated using error maps. In particular, the paper examines objects to be glued along their edges, as frequently occurs for fabrics, leathers, and shoe soles. For this, two procedures to plan the trajectories of the robot are proposed: the first is for objects that can be treated as flat 2D objects, that is, their height variation is negligible;the second procedure is for 3D objects, that is, those with significant height variation. Several applicative examples are reported to highlight the flexibility of the gluing process.

In this paper we introduce the VR-Bike;a system that combines the fun of VR gaming with the fitness of exercising on a bicycle.
