The advancement of the Internet of Things technology is playing a key role in developing the health sector by making it much more accessible and affordable through easy to use applications for virtual and distant interactions with patients. Taking the capability of IoT technology into account, it is possible to overcome the difficulties faced by physically unstable patients in consulting a doctor physically on a regular basis. This work has led to a prototype of IoT Based Remote Health Monitoring System for Patients. This prototype consists of three health sensors: heart pulse sensor, body temperature sensor and galvanic skin response sensor. All these sensors were merged together into a single system with arduino uno and Raspberry Pi combined together. The data acquired from the sensors is transferred to a cloud storage via the Raspberry Pi. The cloud storage is continuously being updated in real time database. An Android Application was developed using Android Studio which could access the database and show a graphical representation of the health parameters. IoT integrated with the health wearables can overcome the need of visiting hospitals for primary health issues. This also reduces the medical expenses for patients significantly. In addition, the doctors can prescribe necessary medications by observing the patient's health stats over time through an application. Detailed analysis of the signals was obtained with respect to variations in physical and environmental activities to understand the functioning of the sensors used.

Keeping public safety in mind and to reduce human life loss there is a need to design a system which will continuously monitor condition of bridges. This project utilizes sensor network on real time basis for bridge health monitoring. It can transmit the information consistently for quite a few minutes. In that vibrations of bridge can be detected. The main aim of the proposed work is to read the vibration of Road Bridge using accelerometers. The capacity of this sensor framework is to evaluate the displacement or dislodgement of the bridge using the information acquired from the accelerometers which are fixed on bridge deck. Accelerometer is a broadly used device to know the vibration of the bridges. Monitoring frameworks have been used to monitor critical infrastructure such as bridges, high-rise buildings, and arenas and can possibly improve structure life expectancy, improve open security and help in structural disaster management and recovery.

In today's world, road and transport has become an integral part of every human being. The present transport system has minimized the distance, but on the other hand it has increased the life peril. The main idea is to develop a road safety measure. This paper proposes a novel system where it is able to automatically control the speed of the vehicle by detecting the speed signs labels from speed sign boards, which are laid on the road side and take necessary steps to take it to the knowledge of the driver by sending a caution notification. When the driver does not speed down even after the sign of caution, details of the vehicle are notified to the authorities (traffic officials) and the speed of the car is reduced to threshold speed limit as on the speed label. A real time image processing identifies speed sign label, "arduino uno" is used to send that data to cloud and GPRS module to send location of the vehicle. The sent data is analysed by PHP in the cloud and necessary steps are executed according to the results of the analysis.

Sound/ noise pollution is one of the most severe problems in metropolitan areas with a thriving population. Excessive sound pollution is apparent everywhere in these cities, whether walking along the road or riding any mode of transport. The problem can be further amplified in "silent zones" - such as for students in schools, or patients in hospitals. To minimize its unhygienic and harmful impact on the human body, the authors of this paper have consequently developed a necessary and urgent solution: a green earth based technological system called Nirob, to target the problem from two different angles within developing metropolitan areas: to raise awareness amongst the general population to encourage change by measuring and displaying the high noise levels;to reduce noise in "silent zones", by creating a system to regulate and minimize the use of honking by drivers.

This paper is an attempt to recognize and test the intelligent and smart irrigation system. Water requirement for outdoor plants in commercial agriculture domain calls for optimum usage of water due to the monstrous worldwide water crisis. For domestic applications in urban localities, often people who have plants face a problem of watering them when they are out on vacation or on duty. The proposed method uses a smartphone to check the atmospheric temperature, relative humidity and soil moisture of the potted plants. The owner thus has the option to put ON or OFF a water pump using a Mobile Application based on the monitored parameters. It is a cost effective, user controlled precision irrigation service. The readings of the sensors are recorded twice a day and the results of the experimental set up shows that a typical Periwinkle (Catharanthus roseus) plant consumes approximately 250 ml of water per day in a Tropical region.

In recent decade significantly rise in chronic diseases and ageing population ratio in world, demand efficient Health monitoring system (HMS) for comfort of people. This approach is not only cost effective but also a feasible alternative to traditional healthcare. The aged peoples and patients having chronic diseases refrain visit to health institutions (hospitals and nursing homes etc.) as a result it reduces burden on health institutions. In this paper we proposed IoT-based, intelligent HMS which continuously monitors patient's health parameters like blood pressure, heart beat and ECG. Data from blood pressure sensor, heart rate sensor and ECG sensor automatically monitored by arduino uno and Pi-camera attached to raspberry pi for video. arduino uno sends sensor data to raspberry pi which fed data to server's database using Wi-Fi, finally server sent data to webpage, which updates every 2 minutes. Doctor access data anywhere using internet and give feedback accordingly using text.

Rickshaw is a three-wheel low-cost vehicle. It runs only with the help of muscular strength of a person to carry other persons and loads but does not have a particular fare system. In this research work, a new idea of rickshaw fare measurement system is proposed. The objective of this work is to design an automated fare system for rickshaws in low cost to eradicate bargaining and reduce sufferings of the rickshaw puller as well as the passengers. The system is micro-controller based and designed using arduino uno, IR sensor, Accelerometer, Load sensor and Humidity sensor. The fare system calculates fare considering the distance, steepness of the road, weight of carrying loads, weather, travelling time and then displays the fare on the LCD screen. In addition, the rickshaw puller can agree or disagree with the fare, the decision is accounted for maintaining a fair rate. The prototype is implemented with satisfactory result in a test-based environment.

This paper presents a cooking technology consisting of a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) based Electric Cooker with a feature of temperature control which can be operated by both solar panel or battery. Perturb & Observe method has been used as the algorithm of the MPPT which ensures battery charging by drawing Maximum Power from the PV Panel. Temperature control has been performed by using K-type thermocouple using relay. The hardware study has been done by using Photovoltaic (PV) Panel, MPPT, Temperature control circuit and battery. Time for cooking different food items has been observed and other necessary data have been analyzed to evaluate the performance of the electric cooker.

Internet of Things (IoT) consists of devices that connect to the internet and communicate with each other. It enables these devices to collect and exchange data with a consumer. This paper presents an IoT-based Smart Garden with Weather Station system, which can be used to monitor the growth of plant every day and predict the probability for raining. Why this IoT-based device is been created? Many people are interested in growing the plants are always forget on watering the plants. Hence, in this study, the device is equipped with a water pump, where it can be monitored and controlled by using a smartphone. In addition, the devices also consist of four main sensors, which are Barometric Pressure, DHT11 Temperature, and Humidity Sensor, Soil Moisture Sensor and Light intensity module sensor. The Soil and Light Intensity sensor used to measure the value by percentages. Besides, two actuators, which are the water pump and LED light can be used remotely or by using a button on the devices. The LED is purposely to replicate the sunlight and make the plant grow faster. This IoT-based Smart Garden with Weather Station System can record the data and send the result to user through the smartphone application named as Blynk apps. This research is beneficial, and the system can be easily managed by all users such as researcher or farmer, and children.

A large number of sanitation workers die every year due to erratic and lack of facilities available, and harmful toxic gases released while cleaning the sewage. Real time health monitoring systems for such workers will prove helpful. This real time health monitoring device will work in a sewage as a safety equipment. In this paper, the device presented will monitor the pulse rate of a person using a pulse oximetry sensor, the methane concentration and the atmospheric oxygen concentration and provide alert to worker and exterior unit. when parameters deviate from the safe range. This parameters in real time will promptly alert the workers to stay safe and detect toxic gases before any harm.
