Health monitoring system offers a lot of benefits to people life especially for those who have chronic disease and need daily observation. This health monitoring system will improve quality of life. Information technology (IT) and wireless communication system has the potential to improve safety, quality and efficiency of health care. By this improvement of the technology, doctors and patients can easily access and use health information as needed. In this research, health monitoring system, doctors and patients can use it in order to monitor and check their condition via mobile phone. The patients can be alerted if they are required to do the treatment or not. Arduiono uno and GSM together with temperature and pulse rate sensors are used for this research. Our results is correct since, the number of older people becomes larger for abnormal patient's condition.

This paper describes a low-cost proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control system of DC motor based on an arduino uno board. The motor speed measured by means of an optical encoder is controlled by varying the voltage level applied by pulse with modulation (PWM). A graphical user interface (GUI) based application is builded in LabVIEW environment to control arduino uno board as low-cost solution for data acquisition board in this educational tool. The performance of the proposed system is analysed through several experiments.

Aurdion is a next generation robot that revolutionizes the way we use and interact with robots and machines. It possesses a spherical structure, which reduces the area of contact of the robot and the ground, in turn reducing the static friction coefficient. Thus, it makes mobility much faster and more energy efficient than a regular robot. It consists of a robotic structure enclosed by a spherical shell. The movement of the robot comes with the rotation of the spherical shell. The head is made to levitate above the spherical body. The head stays on top of the ball irrespective to the movement of the spherical ball. A magnetic mechanism is used to ensure that the head is always on the top. The movement of the spherical robot can be controlled from our mobile phones. The robot can travel across a large number of terrains, breaking the restrictions of robots in general.

Internet of Things (IoT) has given an opportunity to build powerful laboratory environment using wireless technology, LAN technology and sensor devices. This works aims to establish a basic prototype design of a simple and expandable IoT to be used in an intelligent laboratory. The reading of various sensors from multiple labs is directly uploaded to the server storage on cloud from where other collaborating laboratories can read, analyze, and store the data either by humans or machines. The fundamental aspect of proposed work is to provide necessary infrastructure to enable the data collection and dissemination to all stakeholders.

A healthcare monitoring system is designed which can be used in the hospitals to monitor people who need to an intensive care. This system can be implemented on many biological signals. ECG signal is selected for put in practice in this work. Since ECG signal is measured in mille volt, it needs to be amplified. Also it is a noisy signal, so it needs to be filtered. ECG acquisition part contains AD620 Instrumentation Amplifier due to its low current noise. The network of patients nodes are require to be available in the intensive care room for measurement. A base node collects these many signals to be monitored in the nursing room. For wireless transmit\receive, nRF24L01+ wireless module is used. ATmega328 MCU in the arduino uno board is used in all node. LabVIEW software is programmed to display ECG signals as a waveform chart. For transferring ECG signals to the remote doctor, a Web Pager tool in the LabVIEW program is employed. So the remote doctor could be check his patients condition through internet. The system was implemented for three nodes.

Many smart house systems have been presented, but there are still some limitations in terms of the high cost, less functionality, difficulty of use that are not satisfactorily reliable and cannot be developed. Therefore, the aim of this research project was to design and develop a prototype for a smart house system that is low cost, has a user-friendly interface, and is scalable and reliable by using an integrated system of hardware and software. The hardware, such as arduino uno, servo motors, a temperature sensor, a motion sensor and a battery, was utilized to develop the prototype of a smart house system. The software included arduino integrated development environment (IDE) to compile the code in hardware and using MIT App Inventor for Android mobile phones to interfacing a mobile handset with hardware. Moreover, In order to make the design of prototype more professional, Sweet Home 3D software was used. The system has been evaluated with the previous works and it was demonstrated to six experts to obtain some feedback on the prototype. The testing of the prototype demonstrated that the system was an integrated, practical and easy to use, and any new device could easily be installed into the system. The aim of this research project has been achieved successfully. However, the prototype requires further developments, which include the power supply reliability, use other wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi and ZigBee, and cross-platform apps to work with differently operated systems such as iOS for people use Apple devices by using MIT App Inventor.

This paper presents the design and development of Remote Temperature & Humidity Sensing (RTHS) system, a system which is capable of sensing temperature and humidity remotely. These atmospheric parameters are of utmost importance for the weather forecasting process and are crucial for agriculture and industrial processes. A system which is not only smart and robust but also cheap is implemented, which can measure temperature & humidity and send the acquired data to a Base station using RF based wireless transmission. The base station monitors the acquired data in the real-time, which is displayed with the help of an LCD. RTHS system is realized using two modules, transmitting module (place at the location under consideration) and receiving module (at the base station). This embedded system can be very useful to monitor environmental conditions which can affect Life and Property in various ways.

This paper represents the experimental setup on the level control system which is called as quadruple/multivariable tank system. The setup consists of four experiments : single capacity, interacting, non-interacting and quadruple/multivariable tank system. Here, the ultrasonic sensor is used to control the level. The setup is interfaced with arduino uno (ATmega328) with its programming logic which is act as a controller. The obtained results are compared with theoretically and practically. Based on the performance of the system it found satisfactory for various settings.

Cooperative control is playing increasing important roles in fields as diverse as robotics, computer science, industrial automation, surveillance, economics, biology, and power systems. Cooperative control is directly affected by the communication strategy adopted for exchanging information, which makes the overall system analysis and design complicated. We build a swarm robotic platform that is simple enough for undergraduate students to study cooperative control, yet flexible enough to incorporate complicated control and communication strategies. The robotic platform is a seamless integration of arduino uno microcontrollers, iRobot Create 2 which is capable to emulate various holonomous and nonholonomous vehicles, and RF communication modules which are capable of exchanging information with extreme simplicity and low latency.

Solar Energy is a clean and renewable power resource and is on its way to high level penetration in the world electricity energy basket. However, there are several challenges associated with Solar Energy, like intermittency, limited dispatch ability and non-storability. Non-storability in a standalone PV system can be mitigated by incorporating energy storage devices like battery to store the electrical energy produced by solar panel when the sun is shining and to supply power when the sun is not shining. Batteries are, therefore, one of the critical component in the standalone PV system. And often the weakest link in PV systems as it influences the maintenance cost and reliability of the system. This paper involves designing and development of a low cost, microcontroller based, solar powered battery charging system. The developed system incorporates (i) MPPT (ii) arduino uno interface for battery management functions arduino uno interface, (iii) LCD display for information to the user about the system regarding the systems overall capacity to charge at any given time, (iv) data storage and incorporates Wi-Fi module for remote surveillance and uploading live data which can further be used for studying the health of the battery and help in maintenance of battery. The developed solar powered battery charging system for DC loads has been designed for use in Solar Home Systems (SHS). The individual SHS can be connected to form a low voltage DC micro grid for the remotely located rural population for sustainable provision of electric energy services.
